"Only the crumbliest, flakiest chocolate tastes like chocolate never tasted before"? I'll grant that, actually - the texture and construction of Cadbury's Flake does change how it melts and feels in the mouth, so it is unlike other chocolate bars. However, where's the follow up line, which should be "Only the crumbliest, flakiest chocolate, makes a bleedin' mess like no other chocolate before"? 😜
All part of the State's drive to combat the obesity epidemic, don't you know. Yeah, like that really worked. 🙄 Same thing happened to Monster Munch. ☹️
The 2023 Mars Twix advert "Our smallest ever bar weighing just 12g! gone in one bite our most expensive price yet at £1.99! It doesn't even taste the same it now tastes fake and artificial!"
Bloody Nora I have suddenly developed diabetes looking at all that delicious yummy looking sweets😋. Thank you for this video loved it! Peace and love 💛
That was the creepiest version of the Flake song I’ve ever heard! They certainly don’t taste like chocolate ever tasted before now, I had one recently, it’s not the same. Also, found out they’re made in Egypt now. All the Cadbury bars have gone downhill since they shut the U.K. factories. I bet they’re using cheaper ingredients but the same recipes so they can turn round and claim nothing’s changed.
Thanks again Steve. At my primary school there was a early morning break when everyone would get their crisps out. More often than not, mine was a packet of Monster Munch! Who could forget the unmistakable voice of Adrian Edmondson in the Peperami adverts!
Great to see the Phileas Fogg 'Punjab Airways' advert once again. 😃 Loved it. Does a Terry's Chocolate Orange count towards your five portions of fruit a day? 🤔 And I loved Monster Munch: these were huge bags of crisps back then.
Push Pop the most 90s sweet treat thing ever. I remember them from the early 90s. And you can also save them. ❤ #90sKid Peperami it's a bit of an animal was a very clever slogan due to it's double meaning.
For a long time, I really wanted to try a Terry's Chocolate Orange, but until the last decade, maybe two, you couldn't get them in the US unless you went to the UK or Europe, or you happened to live in a big city with an international food store. I'm always surprised when they don't make a country specific commercial for things like the Push Pop.
I got my mum a 6 pack at Christmas and the walnut is back. She gave me one so decided to try the walnut as I usually pick it off,… vile! I’ll continue to pick it off.

15p for a proper Twix!
Now their like 80p and look like they've come straight out of a box of celebrations 🙄
Damn "Shrink flation! " 😟 Richard 🇬🇧

Bugger.......... Im 48 This Year! Wheres It All Gone? 💯💢💥👌
I'm hungry now ! 😨 Thanks for the nostalgic memories 👍 Richard 🇬🇧
Oh the good old days when chocolate tasted nice before they started putting palm oil in

It's scary how many of these I remember. I loved Monster Munch as a kid. I'm sure those Maltesers looked bigger than they are now 🤔 Thanks Steve 😀👍
Back when girls where girls. Boys where boys. And chocolate was cheap as chips.
Back when society forbid boys from being anything other than boys.
@@RetroSteveUK better days.
@@RetroSteveUK Thankfully that's changed.
Have you noticed chocolate now just dsnt taste as good as it did back then
Yes, but I figured it was just covid or something.
Please don't ever stop making these.
No intention of stopping just yet. 👍
Thank you for uploading another compilation - your ones are fantastic 👍🏻
Thanks. I do what I can to improve the sound & picture quality where possible. 🙂👍
Love how you made your TV shake when the Pepperami was jumping around in that last ad! 👍😄
It was subtle. I wasn't sure if anyone would spot it. Congrats! .. You're the first to comment on it. 😁
Ha ha! I had to watch it again! 🤣
Punjab Airways would never be allowed today!
It actually reminds me of the sort of sketch you'd see in an episode of Goodness Gracious Me.
Right now I just wish everything was 1980s prices for a while..
Id be happy with 80's quality at Today's prices.
And 80s sizes.

Chocolate orange is two of your five a day strictly speaking - cocoa beans in the chocolate. Beans are a vegetable, right?
"Ahh dont know, its all covered in t'mud"
Well it's 3 o'clock then!!!
Nice one Steve👌🤘
Size on that galaxy bar huge
I spot Freddy of Rod, Jane and Freddy in the Galaxy ad.
I thought that was him! Not just me, then.
Not that size now
Freddie Marks in the galaxy, morris dancers advert. of Rainbow and Rod, Jane and Freddie fame. Died in 2021
RIP🪦
Great video

I've seen Push Pops for sale literally in the past few weeks. Nice to see an old favourite surviving the years.
Just shows you how the current generation can get easily triggered, these where our adverts we watched, and yes some where a bit questionable! 🤣🤣🤣🤣
15p for a Twix?! F*CK me
Yeah, you could have bought five for what they're asking for one now.

I remember Dentyne gum! It had a unique, almost mouthwashy but sweet taste! Wish I could still get it.
Isn't a walnut whip just called a whip now as the walnut was too expensive? From memory it's also half the height of the original too.
I got my mum a 6 pack at Christmas and the walnut is back. She gave me one so decided to try the walnut as I usually pick it off,… vile! I’ll continue to pick it off.
Steve. Nice one!
Remember a day
ARTHUR FOWLER IN THE CADBURYS ROSES AD
Good old Bill Treacher.
Love it. Chocs have gone up so much over the years and also got much smaller.
In real terms they've got cheaper but only due to 'shrinkflation'.
The six chunk yorkie is now a five chunk, for instance.
