I have to agree with the comments ,you are one of the BEST TEACHERS ,first time I actually crochet , understand, and feeling excited , am gonna check your other videos ,,a BIG THANK YOU⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
Jayda, you are the BEST teacher ever! I seriously thought I was never going to learn to crochet! I am now on row 10 on my dish cloth and it is perfectly beautiful! I am so proud of myself!!! Thank you so so much, Jayda!
I’ve been crocheting for 13 years, and I learned on UA-cam! I have to say that you have the VERY BEST tutorials I’ve seen. Hooray for you! Don’t stop! I will be sharing your channel !
Jayda, thank you so much for your videos. I’m a Grandmother in Florida with an interested granddaughter is the Boston area. We are trying to learn together over FaceTime and your videos have helped immensely. I’m looking forward to getting together with her and her family (my daughter) in a few weeks at Disney in Orlando. We will finally be together to practice! Thanks again. You’re a great teacher with easy to follow directions!!
My dishcloth turned out hideously beautiful-mistakes everywhere, uneven too. But it was a labour of love; your encouragement kept me going and you kept cheerleading with every milestone. I wasn’t afraid of making mistakes thanks to you. I must have watched this about 20 times in two days. Definitely under my FAVOURITES.
And each one you make will get better and better until people will be asking you for them 💗 Oh and all those "mistakes" work perfectly well in the kitchen sink 😁 Thank you for watching!
I did it!!! I finally did it!! I have watched soooo many videos but none of them are as detailed as yours. I just finished my very first crochet project ever!!!! Thank you so much 💜💜💜 I feel so accomplished!! I've been trying to learn for 11 years!!!
Thank you, this is one the best tutorials I've watched on UA-cam on beginners crocheting. Not only have taken us through a basic stich but you take us through an actual step by step project. Also you give us the easiest way to get neat edges. 😊❤️
After 5years of struggling ,I learnt this less than half an hour with your teaching.thank you so much...yay I can do single crochet with confident . credit goes to you only
Wow! What a great cheerful teacher you are. Thank you Jayda. You keep it simple and fun and that's what most of us need. I haven't crocheted in 35 years and this is the best help I've come across on UA-cam. You're the BEST!
I started crocheting around age 18....Stopped for many years. I have become obsessed these passed three months. With your help I am learning to crochet RIGHT. I am watching and listening to you very carefully and now I really believe I can make beautiful things. You have taught me so very much and I know you will teach me much much more!
I have been crocheting for about a year and I have learned so much from your tutorials. In the short amount of time I have been watching you, I have learned
I just wanted to say thank you so much because I have been trying to figure out how to do this for months now. I am visually impaired and I haven't been able to find information on how to crochet that makes it easy for me to see. This was the best tutorial that I have found and I actually got to the third row. 🙂
I agree with everyone...you are a wonderful teacher! I have wanted to learn how to crochet for so many years but I could never find anyone who wanted to take the time to teach me. I watched your "Granny Square" video first. It took me 3 times watching it before I was pleased with my final square...and it was because I tried to hurry. Once I slowed down a bit and paid more attention I finally got it right! :) I just finished my dish cloth and am very pleased with it! :) Thank you for sharing your talents with us!
Love your tutorials, you explain it so slow. I'm 72 yrs. and I need slow. I use to crochet yrs. ago, but I forgot everything. Even back then I was a beginner. Respectfully, Leonor
I'm a 69 yrs old gma who use to crochet king sized afgans for everyone in the family, but after several strokes, I've forgotten everything. Wow I'm so excited. I began this thinking it'll never work but lookie lookie I'm doing it. I love all of what I've seen of your videos. I hope to get as good as you soon.!! Thank you for being so much fun and instructive!!!
Dana Tyler Hi Dana! Thank you so much for watching :) If you're excited, that's all the motivation you need! When I first learned how to crochet, it felt like something inside my brain literally exploded and all these creative possibilities started roaring through my head like a crazy north wind! I've been making clothes, toys and stuff for my house ever since and I am never without my hooks! I gotta say, a craft that's mobile ranks HIGH in my books :) Welcome to the Big Crafty Family!!
I just have to say thank you thank you thank you!!! I have watched numerous videos on how to crochet and always failed. I came across your video, watched it and had my very first crochet wash cloth done that day! I have since completed another washcloth and have started my first crochet blanket with the single crochet stitch. My blanket isn’t perfect and I’m sure my gauge needs some work but I’m doing it lol! You are an amazing teacher and I can’t wait to explore more and learn different stitches.
Hi Stacey, welcome to the big, woolly world of crochet! It's amazing how good you'll get with a little practice ;) Have fun and Thank you for watching!
I mistakenly started a cloth using another channel - what a mistake! I undid eveything, found you and now my beautiful cloth is almost complete! I can't wait to work on other projects. Everyone said crocheting is better than knitting, and now I know why - it's easy to go back and fix stiches without frogging everything!! Thanks Jayda!
Hi Jayda! I have been crocheting for about 2 years now and my daughter and daughter-in-law asked me to show them how to crochet. I finally won them over with all the cute amigurumi characters I've been crocheting. I love the fact that crocheting is coming back. It is your tutorials that taught me and it will be the tutorials I will instruct them to watch. First, you are so happy and bubbly and you make wanting to learn how to crochet. Second you explain everything so easily. Your video of a potholder will be their first project. Thank you!
Thank you so much 😊 for the great and easy explanation on basic crocheting. I’ve been struggling all afternoon trying to understand and I finally get it… your video did the trick 😅❤🎉
7 years later, and I think it may be the best tutorial on how to do this stitch! I was having trouble counting chains and understanding where to insert my hook. Your tutorial made it SO clear for me. *Thank you*!! I'm moving on to the next of your tutorials right now!
You have saved me countless hours of frustration...I always ended up with zig-zag edges and could not figure out what I was/was not doing, I have it figured out, of course with your assistance. Thank you very much!
Thanks so much for this video tutorial! I'm new to crochet and kept making oddly shaped cloths with another tutorial and I was starting to get discouraged and felt like it would never click for me but your clear instructions and going over every step were so helpful that I managed to produce almost a perfect cloth! I ended up having to add a few rows since I tend to stitch on the tight side so 20 rows high was more of a rectangle for me, I added 4 extra rows and made sure when I did the border I did 24 stitches down the sides and it made a perfect square. I'm so proud of my work and can't thank you enough for this video since it showed me I can make awesome things even as a complete newbie with the right instructions. I can't wait to try out some of your other projects :)
I reiterate Love That Bug. I too have watched several tutorials on how to crochet a dishcloth for beginners and yours is the only one I was able to actually finish the dishcloth, with good results. Thank you so very, very much. You make a great teacher with your easy to follow instructions!
I am just learning how to crochet and tried several different videos to start. I am so glad I came across yours, because you are such a great teacher. You go slow enough that I could follow you without getting frustrated. And I was able to actually finish my first dishcloth. Thank you so much!!
Thank you so very much in this one video you have taught me so many things I have been trying to figure out for years and you explain everything so I can understand and don't have to keep rewinding and pausing thank you again I can't wait to finish making my squares so I can move on to next part of Pixel
I absolutely loved this project. You are by far the best instructor in regards to crocheting. Others Talk way too much before even starting. I've found crocheting to be fun and relaxing, w every new item I make I can't wait for the next. Thank you for your videos and patterns. you make learning fun.
I'm on row four! I've struggled so with trying to crochet, but my (post stroke) brain just couldn't process the instructions. Feeling confident that I can manage to make a dishcloth. Baby steps. Thank you.
I love your tutorials, I’m a complete beginner on day 4 now, Iv watched numerous videos and getting more and more frustrated but after watching you I can see a light at the end of the tunnel, I’m still struggling with tension but it’s all starting to make sense now, thank you so much
HI Jackie, stick with it and don't be afraid to just put it down and walk away for a little while if you get frustrated :) Take your time and be patient with yourself - and don't worry about your tension, it will eventually just even itself out :)
Your videos are the best I've come across. I love that I can pick up my hook and grab yarn and just go step by step through the project with you! It's the perfect pace and I love every step being explained so that it makes sense. Thank you!
I made my first one today. Just finished it! My Aunt Margaret tried to show me when I was younger, but she went to fast. I was lost. I managed the chain stich back then. I was frustrated. My Aunt was like- learn how I did, out of a book. That was it. Thank you for this awesome video.
I haven't crocheted a single stitch yet, but after watching this video I am off to buy supplies! I will be watching this again with hook & yarn in hand. Your attention to detail allows me to think I just might be able to do this! Thank-you! :) Subscribed!
I've been trying a granny square and struggling so ive tried this and I've crocheted 2 rows yay I feel I can do this and my husband said he used to love my knitted dishcloths and he is encouraging me to do this one. Thank you Jayda you're a wonderful teacher hugs from Australia
Hi, I made these longer and into scarves for my friends' birthdays. They turned out really nice, and everyone loves them. Thanks for sharing a wonderful pattern in a begginer friendly way!
Thank you so much for a great video on single crochet. I've been doing this for several months and watched other videos but yours is really great. You explain each move and I now understand what I'm doing. It was great!!!
Your video is step by step clear instruction....so as a beginer I can fOllow u......after watching many videos I was bored...but your work motivate me a lot....GOD BLESS YOU DEAR..
The best video I've watched yet! I'm in my second week of crocheting and just finished a very distorted triangular looking square! But I'm loving it and know that I'll get better with practice. This tutorial is definitely going to get played over and OVER! Thank you so much!
You are fantastic! I have tried to learn from other videos and you are by far the best. My great grandma used to make dishcloths every Christmas for everyone and I never learned from her, regretted that! So thank you, I can finally make them for myself.
Thank you so so much! I have been trying to learn to crochet for probably close to 20 years. I learned to knit no problem, but couldn't get the hang of crochet until I watched this video. I have never been so excited about a dishcloth! :)
Stephanie Truby LOL Stephanie!! That's SO great :) I have to admit, I've never been excited about dishcloths either, but then I started making my own in stripes and then with cute little edges and suddenly everyone was getting dishcloths as gifts (snort, giggle) and oddly, they were just as pleased with them as I was LOL. A bunch of my friends all moved into new homes a couple of years ago and they all got a plastic ice bucket with a bottle of wine and matching coloured dishcloths as a house warming gift :)
I learned the chain stitch at 8 years old, couldn't understand anything else, and have been afraid to try again for 21 years. And now I have a dishcloth that I made myself! Thank you so much!!
Hi Rebecca! That's fantastic! And thank YOU for sharing, hearing this sort of thing makes me feel great. And now...into a wild and creative future!! Woo hoo!
Love your tutorials on everything . My family loves the dishcloths so for Christmas I am giving them a good supply. I made my very first hat following your tutorial, the first I made and I loved it and felt so good about my work. So hats and dishcloths and hot pads will be Christmas with love from me, thanks to you. I really appreciate you very much. You are a fantastic teacher❤️❤️❤️🙏🇺🇸
omg....you've explained it in a way I can understand!!! I'm also a visual learner so thank you for the wonderful tutorials and going over stitches over and over again. That's what us newbies need. Repetition....
I just want to thank you for you tutorials I have wanted to learn how to crochet for so long feeling very intimidated by it. You have helped me achieve that.
Thanks for your easy explanation! My mom recently passed away from leukemia and she loved to crochet. Thanks to you, I made my first dishcloth in her honor. It's not perfect, but it is pretty good. I'm working on a second one to gift to my MIL. That one is looking even better. Thanks again!
Again this tutorial was so useful. I have had trouble keeping rows even so got frustrated and went to knitting because I had trouble identifying the correct stitches to work in to. Single crochet is easy to so where you are and what is the correct stitch. Telling me that the loop on my hook is not a stitch and showing that the second is a turning chain not a stitch has been the answer to my uneven rows! Thank you. Also really I thing for just straight rows, single crochet stitch produces prettier work than half double, or double crochet stitch. Your tutorials are great. Thank you again.
You're adorable and definitely appreciate your patient tutorials. I know these were made some time ago, but they're definitely relevant. Thank you!! I'm enjoying your videos. :)
Janet Norman Hi Janet! Thank you SO much :) And welcome to the Crafty Family! Now the excitement REALLY begins!! There's nothing like having a door in your brain open up with the endless possibilities of craft stretching out before you :) weeeeee!!
Thanks for your time in making these tutorials! You are a fantastic teacher with a great personality. I started with a double sided pot holder as my first project after watching several of your videos. I should have started with this one...so, off to start a dishcloth!
Ny 6 year old grand daughter wants to learn to crochet, im so happy she is interested, but not sure "I" have patience to teach her! So I'm going to have her watch this video to learn, thank you jayda for helping me to hopefully teach her! I was showing her how to make a chain lol it was wild but she was proud to make a chain!
Thank you so much! With your help I've taught myself the single crochet...took awhile, but I'm a perfectionist and need to rip out and start over; maybe one day I'll get over that! lol! Thanks again
Hi Mary, Thank you for watching :) It's ok to strive for better and better! I have found though, that most of the little errors we make, only we can see ;)
Hi Jayda- I am very new to Crochet and watched your 'Granny squares'tutorial. I have been inspired and will be working on blankets for various members of my Family!. Thank you for great teaching!
Your tutorial is fantastic! I just started to learn to crochet this week. I followed a different tutorial for beginners and they never explained anything about counting stitches. What was supposed to be a square dishcloth ended up looking more like a trapezoid when I was done. Your video went slowly and throughly explained everything. I haven't completely finished this dishcloth yet, but it already looks sooooo much nicer than my first. I hope you have more tutorials because I will be watching them!
Hi Jess! Thank you so much for watching :) You can check out all of our tutorials by heading to our channel homepage (just click on my name) and you can never miss another by subscribing :) Happy Crafting!
I am getting back into crocheting after 45 years! I forgot how relaxing it is. I am watching all your beginner videos just to refresh myself.Thank you..
I can do any craft under the sun but knitting, crochet, and surprisingly scrapbooking just escape me. I can say now that I have a basic grasp on crochet. One down, two to go...LOL This is just what I needed to finish what my Grandmother started to teach me many years ago. Thank you, thank you, thank you!!!!
+Jayda InStitches hate to bug you but i need help I am begging. I need to get some hooks, since I only have one LOL, but have no clue what to get. Some set cost so much and some so little its stressing me out :( I'd love a good recommendation on a good set that won't break the bank. Thanks a bunch!
Hi Janay! Well let me see, I've picked up hooks from all over and they all serve me fairly well! Second hand stores are a great place to look, people unload their unwanted knitting needles and crochet hooks all the time and we can give them loving new homes for next to no $$! Then Walmart (and other discount department stores) generally carry the Boye aluminum hooks and some lovely bamboo ones and the average between $2 - 3$ (Canadian) each. Probably less if you're in the States! Those are all fine and work perfectly well :)
thanks a ton for making this video. super helpful. I was having a hard time keeping my edges even.. and now I successfully made myself a dishcloth. you rock!!
Thank you for the great tutorial. I like how you showed the step by step process of making a dishcloth. Plus I found you to be very help when you showed the super basic stuff like counting stitches or explained the weird looking stitches when putting in the boarder. Thanks again! Your awesome!
Hi Jayda, I just wanted to thank you for your videos. I find them super helpful! I don't know what came over me, but about a week ago I decided that I wanted to learn to crochet. I watched several video tutorials until I found yours. Your teaching style is perfect for me! You made it so clear that I understood exactly what you were saying even though I hadn't even purchased a crochet hook yet. Yesterday I went out and bought a hook and some yarn and now have my very first dish cloth! WooHoo! It came out pretty good too. :) I got about 5 rows into my first attempt and was a bit confused because I was finding it quite hard to grab the yarn with the hook. The yarn kept splitting and I couldn't figure out why until I realized I was using a smaller hook than what was recommended on the label for my yarn. As soon as I switched to the right size hook, it was like magic! Today I'll be making my second dish cloth with Half Double Crochet. :)
***** Hi Tracy! Welcome to the Crafty Family :) Doesn't it feel totally awesome to learn something new?! It's like this place inside your brain you didn't know what there suddenly opens up and has a party LOL I'm so glad you found our videos helpful :) We have such fun making them, and I just love sharing my passion :)
Thank you so much for going slow. You also pointed out and worked through my concerns about the first stitch and last stitch in a row. Like Leonor below, it has been so many years since I learned that I am going back to the basics. My goal is to help a friend crochet baby hats for newborns! I am just so excited. I just have to learn to be patient!
Hi Debbie, thank you for watching! It's true, when we get excited the last thing we can do is slow down LOL, but a little patience helps us go a long way :)
I really appreciate your teaching teaching this. You are a great teacher and you helped me fix some of my mistakes I was constantly making. Thank you very much. Some of my errors you have clearly led me to understanding. Thank you again and again.❤️🙏🇱🇷🇸🇻😅
This is a great tutorial. I've watched a couple of your videos. I like that you smile a lot and use fun visual effects. It kind of drew me in. I want to make a dishcloth!
I didn't do a perfect job. I lost some stitches on the sides when turning and didn't notice until it was done. Haha. Thank you for all the help. I tell everyone about your channel. I missed the part where you said to use cotton, so mine is acrylic. I've been crocheting almost every day since, so I'm getting pretty good! 😁 I still rely on your videos when I forget something, though, which is a good bit.
This video FINALLY got me crocheting! I had no idea what was going wrong before 😅 Turns out I was single crocheting wrong! Thank you for this wonderful video!
Jayda ... I often play different tutorials while I’m at work (keeps my stress down in the zany world of customer service) & I had to take a minute to say how fabulous this beginner tutorial is! As Afroditi says “best teacher ever”! 😁
Hi Chelle! Thank you so much, we really appreciate hearing that! I know what you mean!!! Sometimes a tutorial in the background can make the difference between a good and a bad day for me LOL
Very nice and friendly teacher. 🌸👍 I'm from Egypt 🇪🇬🤗. I love the way you teach us all about crochet. I'm new to crochet. Your tutorials are the best really and most helpful and informative 👍 Love you. Thank you. Keep making helpful amazing videos please 🌸😍🤗👏
I'm feeling confident to go buy the supplies and try this. I've watched many videos but they go too fast for a beginner. They rattle off terms and crochet away super fast making the project overwhelming. I have bought many dishcloths in my life but don't have many in my drawer. I do however have a crocheted one still in my drawer that is about five years old or more. It is still intact and looks good. I have decided to start making my own. Obviously a dishcloth is a simple project or should be and most of the videos I've viewed are way too complex. I like the simple pattern you are teaching. You have mastered the technique of teaching how to crochet so a person will feel confident they can complete the project. The close up views and the slow technique is very helpful. Thanks. I'm going shopping now. P.S. This is Nancy posting this not David. I don't know why his name shows up. When I have mastered this I will learn how to be tech savy !!
+David Hogness * giggle * Hi Nancy!! Welcome to fun world of crochet :) I'm so pleased that you're going to give it a go! There is nothing like a homemade dishcloth! I highly recommend cotton, if you purchase those little skeins of crafter cotton (usually around 80g) you can probably get 2 clothes out of one skein :)
i was so busy doing Granny Squares? that i forgot the single crochet?lol so i had to come back to re fresh lol boy do i feel silly but i learned from the best that is you Jayda you make everything nice and clear hugs hugs
Brilliant thanks :) I started crocheting last week via you tube, but my work always ended up gaining and losing stitches, or rather I did! Thanks to your earlier vid and this one, i now have a very `even' dishcloth! :)
I realize this video is 6 years old, I hope you are able to see this comment. You truly are the BEST teacher I've come across. I've watched many videos trying to learn how to crochet and you are really good! You're very patient and super encouraging and supportive. Thank you so much!!
Thank you so much Kelly, we really appreciate that!
Agree!

Love your tutorials, you explain it so slow. I'm 72 yrs. and I need slow. I use to crochet yrs. ago, but I forgot everything. Even back then I was a beginner. Respectfully, Leonor
You give me more incentive, to learn. I'm 55 and am now learning to knit. I'd also like to learn to crochet so... here we go.
I'm a 69 yrs old gma who use to crochet king sized afgans for everyone in the family, but after several strokes, I've forgotten everything. I'm like Leonora, i have to have tutorials that r very slow. I've also got dementia, so i don't remember things. I love your tutorials cuz you go slow. Thank you for your patience. I watch you all the time.
Me too lol but I never crochet first time at 72 🤪x
Wow I'm so excited. I began this thinking it'll never work but lookie lookie I'm doing it. I love all of what I've seen of your videos. I hope to get as good as you soon.!! Thank you for being so much fun and instructive!!!

Second you explain everything so easily. Your video of a potholder will be their first project. Thank you!
Hi Mary Ann! Wow! Thank you so much 😊 I hope you and your girls have a lot of fun together!
Thank you so much 😊 for the great and easy explanation on basic crocheting. I’ve been struggling all afternoon trying to understand and I finally get it… your video did the trick 😅❤🎉
Hi! We're so glad it was helpful! Thank you for watching 😊
This is for sure the best tutorial for beginners. Thank you.
Thank you for watching Kelly!
Totally agree🏆
Wonderful tutorial! I found out why my edges weren’t even. Hadn’t been chaining one. Thanks Jayda!!!!
Hi Valerie, we're so happy you found our tutorial helpful!
7 years later, and I think it may be the best tutorial on how to do this stitch! I was having trouble counting chains and understanding where to insert my hook. Your tutorial made it SO clear for me. *Thank you*!! I'm moving on to the next of your tutorials right now!
Hi Erica! We're so happy to hear that! Thank you for watching 😊
You have saved me countless hours of frustration...I always ended up with zig-zag edges and could not figure out what I was/was not doing, I have it figured out, of course with your assistance. Thank you very much!
You are so welcome! Thank you for watching!
Thank you so much. This is so much easier than most others I have seen.
Joan Parker Thank you Joan! I'm glad you found it helpful!
Your very welcome
I reiterate Love That Bug. I too have watched several tutorials on how to crochet a dishcloth for beginners and yours is the only one I was able to actually finish the dishcloth, with good results. Thank you so very, very much. You make a great teacher with your easy to follow instructions!
Hi! Thank you for watching :)
I am just learning how to crochet and tried several different videos to start. I am so glad I came across yours, because you are such a great teacher. You go slow enough that I could follow you without getting frustrated. And I was able to actually finish my first dishcloth. Thank you so much!!
Hi Kelly, we're so glad to know you found our tutorial helpful! Thank you for watching :)
Thank you so very much in this one video you have taught me so many things I have been trying to figure out for years and you explain everything so I can understand and don't have to keep rewinding and pausing thank you again I can't wait to finish making my squares so I can move on to next part of Pixel
Hi Doreen! Thank you so much for watching ❤

Single crochet is the first stitch I learned. Thank you Jayda you are a wonderful teacher 🧑🏫
Hi Maul E, thank you so much and you are so welcome!
I absolutely loved this project. You are by far the best instructor in regards to crocheting. Others Talk way too much before even starting. I've found crocheting to be fun and relaxing, w every new item I make I can't wait for the next. Thank you for your videos and patterns. you make learning fun.
Hi there! Thank you so much for watching :)
I'm on row four! I've struggled so with trying to crochet, but my (post stroke) brain just couldn't process the instructions. Feeling confident that I can manage to make a dishcloth. Baby steps. Thank you.
You can do it! Baby steps is the way to approach everything 💗
The best tutorials to learn crochet I have come across on youtube
Hi Heather, thank you so much for watching!
Thank you , thank you, thank you!!! 😊 First tutorial that helped me understand hooww to do the single crochet.
Hi Rita! Thank you for watching 😊
Your videos are the best I've come across. I love that I can pick up my hook and grab yarn and just go step by step through the project with you! It's the perfect pace and I love every step being explained so that it makes sense. Thank you!
Casey Szlavi Thank you Casey! It feels great hearing that :)
I made my first one today. Just finished it! My Aunt Margaret tried to show me when I was younger, but she went to fast. I was lost. I managed the chain stich back then. I was frustrated. My Aunt was like- learn how I did, out of a book. That was it. Thank you for this awesome video.
Hi PeggySue! We're so happy to know you found our video helpful :) Thank you for watching!
I haven't crocheted a single stitch yet, but after watching this video I am off to buy supplies! I will be watching this again with hook & yarn in hand. Your attention to detail allows me to think I just might be able to do this! Thank-you! :) Subscribed!

Hi,
I made these longer and into scarves for my friends' birthdays. They turned out really nice, and everyone loves them. Thanks for sharing a wonderful pattern in a begginer friendly way!
Wonderful! Thank you for watching 😊
Thank you so much for a great video on single crochet. I've been doing this for several months and watched other videos but yours is really great. You explain each move and I now understand what I'm doing. It was great!!!
bkamilar@sbcglobal.net Thank you so much!
Your video is step by step clear instruction....so as a beginer I can fOllow u......after watching many videos I was bored...but your work motivate me a lot....GOD BLESS YOU DEAR..
We're so glad to hear it! Thank you for watching :)
The best video I've watched yet! I'm in my second week of crocheting and just finished a very distorted triangular looking square! But I'm loving it and know that I'll get better with practice. This tutorial is definitely going to get played over and OVER! Thank you so much!
Happy New Year! Thank you so much for watching Karen :)
You are fantastic! I have tried to learn from other videos and you are by far the best. My great grandma used to make dishcloths every Christmas for everyone and I never learned from her, regretted that! So thank you, I can finally make them for myself.
+Eric Nedrow Thank you! And hey, now YOU can make everyone dishcloths for Christmas too :) Nice to carry on a family tradition!
I like the way you explain and your carefree approach to this project!
Thank you for watching :)
HI Adrana, that's super! We're so pleased to hear that :) Thank you for watching!
omg....you've explained it in a way I can understand!!! I'm also a visual learner so thank you for the wonderful tutorials and going over stitches over and over again. That's what us newbies need. Repetition....
We are so glad to hear that!! Thank you for watching!!
I just want to thank you for you tutorials I have wanted to learn how to crochet for so long feeling very intimidated by it. You have helped me achieve that.
Thank you for watching Amber!
You are a very good teacher. Thank you!
Thank you for watching Virginia 😊
Thanks for your easy explanation! My mom recently passed away from leukemia and she loved to crochet. Thanks to you, I made my first dishcloth in her honor. It's not perfect, but it is pretty good. I'm working on a second one to gift to my MIL. That one is looking even better. Thanks again!
Hi Jennifer, I am so sorry for the recent loss of your mother. I think it's beautiful to honour someone we love by taking up a craft they enjoyed :)
Hi! We're so happy you found our tutorial helpful :) Thank you for watching!
You're adorable and definitely appreciate your patient tutorials. I know these were made some time ago, but they're definitely relevant. Thank you!! I'm enjoying your videos. :)
Hi Angie, Thank you for watching!
Thank you. Finished mine and showed my mom (the resident expert) and she was impressed. Everyone's getting a potholder this year.
That's super, Shelley! There's nothing quite so satisfying as impressing the resident expert ;)
Omg this is the best tutorial for beginners like me. Thanks
Hi Teresa, Thank you so much for watching :)
What a Wonderful teacher you are! Thank you so much for this tutorial, I FINALLY get how to single crochet! You are amazing
Janet Norman Hi Janet! Thank you SO much :) And welcome to the Crafty Family! Now the excitement REALLY begins!! There's nothing like having a door in your brain open up with the endless possibilities of craft stretching out before you :) weeeeee!!
Best tutorial i've seen on single crochet THANK YOU for explaining where to insert hook in beginning of second and third row!!
Hi Rebecca! Thank you for watching :)
Thanks for your time in making these tutorials! You are a fantastic teacher with a great personality. I started with a double sided pot holder as my first project after watching several of your videos. I should have started with this one...so, off to start a dishcloth!
+Angie Jones Hi Angie! Thank you so much for watching :)
I enjoy making this dishcloth and also giving it as a gift ! Thank you so much , your videos are fantastic!! 🌞
Thank you for watching Nancy!
I just made an autism granny square blanket because of how easy your videos are to follow. thank you
Ny 6 year old grand daughter wants to learn to crochet, im so happy she is interested, but not sure "I" have patience to teach her! So I'm going to have her watch this video to learn, thank you jayda for helping me to hopefully teach her! I was showing her how to make a chain lol it was wild but she was proud to make a chain!
You are so welcome Donna, what a lovely thing to share with your Granddaughter!
this was a lot of fun to do. and it was my first time doing a washcloth. i will share with my girls and grandduaghters. thank you very much.
I actually get it now!! Thank you so much for showing me the easiest step by step instructions that I’ve seen!
Hi Van, we're so glad to hear you've got it! Thank you for watching :)
This was very helpful. I know how to crochet singles, doubles, and trebles, but I couldn't quit getting trapezoid shapes until now. Thank you!
Cassandra Chea Hi Cassandra! That's great :) I'm so glad I could help!
Hi Teresa! It's my favourite way to calm my brain :)
You are a Fantastic teacher, thank you! I'm a knitter now learning crochet.
Thank you Maria, and welcome to the woolly world of crochet :)
+Tessa Manzie Hi Tessa! Welcome to the woolly world of crochet :)
OMGosh hands down the BEST tutorial I've seen :D thank you so much for posting this
+Janay Potter Thank you so much! :)
+Rebecca Schumann Hi Rebecca, thank you so much for watching! :)
Thank you! I’ve watched a few tutorials trying to learn and with yours I finally ‘got it’. 😃
We're so pleased to hear that! Thank you for watching :)
I am new to your channel. Thank you for your clear explanation of the basics. Looking forward to learning more.
Welcome! Thank you for watching Mike 😊
Hi Adrana, we're happy to be helpful! Thank you for watching :)
This is a great tutorial. I've watched a couple of your videos. I like that you smile a lot and use fun visual effects. It kind of drew me in. I want to make a dishcloth!
Hi Aryn! We love to have fun around here :) Thank you for watching!
Glad we could help!
Beautiful Jada I love how you hold your yarn.
Thank you! 😊
Very nice and friendly teacher. 🌸👍 I'm from Egypt 🇪🇬🤗. I love the way you teach us all about crochet. I'm new to crochet. Your tutorials are the best really and most helpful and informative 👍
Love you. Thank you. Keep making helpful amazing videos please 🌸😍🤗👏
Hi Nihal! Thank you for watching :)
Love your tutorials. and your energy. You make it so easy to follow along and the patterns are so cute. Thank you!
Hi Tina! Thank you for watching :)
i was so busy doing Granny Squares? that i forgot the single crochet?lol so i had to come back to re fresh lol boy do i feel silly but i learned from the best that is you Jayda you make everything nice and clear hugs hugs
Hi Barbie! Thank you for popping by and watching :)
Brilliant thanks :) I started crocheting last week via you tube, but my work always ended up gaining and losing stitches, or rather I did! Thanks to your earlier vid and this one, i now have a very `even' dishcloth! :)
That's great Pauline :) The same concept can be expanded to make blankets, when you're ready for a bigger project! Thank you for watching :)
