good vid ... thanks ... I'm going to run an aider on by bottom LW stick ... (I run 4 sticks) ... I am usually 18-21 ft w/o an aider, depending on how I space them.... I'm 6-2", long leggged.. I go from step to my knee + when hanging (21") and I can go a few inches more that that from stick to stick comfortably ...
I run 4 original lone wolf sticks. I use a double aider on the first stick, and a single aider on the other 3. I can get 25+ feet up no problem. great video!
@@thewhitetailexperience6055 Im thinking of trying the same thing with the new short sticks. Maybe getting 5 of them. The only thing I do not like about the long sticks is the packablility. They always seem to get caught on stuff going through the woods.
Can't thank you enough for taking the time to put out this vid. I was going to do that same test. I'm also 6'1 and that was spot on. You just used 1 aider on the bottom step each time, correct?
this i think should work- not 100% its my exact aider www.amazon.com/Black-Diamond-Etrier-5-Step/dp/B001DD19T4/ref=sr_1_8?keywords=rock+climbing+aider&qid=1560339782&s=gateway&sr=8-8
You may have mentioned it, but are you leaving the aider on your bottom step when you’re continuing to climb with your other steps or are you bringing the aider up with you with each step?
Do the same. Have used 1 screw in step then 3 lone wolf easily 17ft. Added aider this fall now easily 18-19'. Means at 6'2" tall my shoulders are roughly 23-24'. Plenty high enuf. Thx for video
No warning needed, xop resolved the lmo4 issues and are rock solid. Some failures were do to stealth between mechanical points ( under step mounts ) causing failure. I also run x2s and my 50 year old wife is comfortable with them.
This was the exact video I was looking for. Thanks.
good deal man glad you liked it

correct only 1 aider on the bottom stick
Where did you get the aider? Can you link it?
What are u using to carry up the sticks?!? Thanks!
I would love to see the new tetherd stix, there only 18.5 and u get 3. I'm thinking u would need a 3-4 step aider with them
Never even considered an aider.thank you
Good deal man
Great video.
I want your new stix!! I've got the $$$$$
Yeah but are you using the Eater on every step and not just at the bottom
no just the first stick is when i use the aider
I'm going with full-length Hawk helium and a one-step aider on each of the three let you know on the height later
Think you could link the site where you got the aider? Thanks

Michael Ranalli so I just leave it on bottom stick - not moving

3 sticks with one aider should be plenty high!!!! When you get up at a certain height it really creates an awful shot angle for archery.
Warning: he's using 3-step sticks.
that is true this is older when 3 step sticks were normal ... worth a repeat

@@jedwards-yr5sy Agreed. X2s are my stick of choice.
