i can imagine having Orchid Bay as the last CS1 city on the channel would be popular for those who don’t have CS2, and 81 tiles would be essential for that to happen

If you’re up for it, would love 81 tiles. The character of your build are sprawling rural areas so I think it would give you some more freedom for build sizes. If you’re thinking of doing the complex with the science/observatory/weather buildings, I would recommend either on a mountaintop or in a really secluded rural area. Realistically that’s how those buildings would be placed rather than in a valley. Love the build as always, the Nebraska vibe is unmatched
23:31 I do think some kind of climate research area could work as a part of the nature reserve. It reminds me of Firewatch when you come across that research station in the wilderness of the national park. If you're monitoring the climate, it makes sense to have it deep in nature.
I love these kinds of builds honestly. I'm a sucker for the pacific northwest aesthetic.
Also, I think it's so busy because you made it free and did the advertising campaign!
Honored to have my goofy artwork showcased 🥰😂 And what a lovely build, this really reminds me of summer camping trips I had with the family as a kid, the combination of rental cabins, tents and outdoor activities, also the nature reserve museum really fit perfect as a main building for the park!

I do not comment much (or at all) on youtube but I am compelled to say this. This series is by far the best I have watched across all the years of CS and all the creators that I watch. Your ability to use the base vanilla game in this way to create a city and surrounds uplifts my day and provides an escape from this crazy crazy world even if it is for a for a short time. Thank you.

One of my favorite builds, this reminds me of a camping spot my father would take us during the summer as a child. I've been really enjoying watching this city grow, let's open to 81 tiles and see how far this can grow until CS2!

I love Orchid Bay and I'm liking the spread into more rural vibes surrounding the city. But I'm torn on the unlocking all tiles thing. Part of OB's charm is the vanilla+ restrictions and watching you work around those constraints to make the city make sense, and the tile boundary is part of that. Just think it might be better to have only the things you want most in the space you have.
I would absolutely love a 81 tile build. Love the city and the work you put into it. Seeing it expand is something I've looked forward to for a while now. As long as you keep on enjoying it yourself, I would be thrilled to see it.
The last full moon August 3rd was in 2020 and the next full moon on August 3rd will be in 2031, so the people of Sharon are pretty excited about that.

It could be cool to have some underground walkable paths that go through the mountain and connect different areas of the park, maybe with those cave boulders to serve as entrances. There are sight-seeing tours of caverns in Virginia and Kentucky -- though thankfully they don't require any claustrophobic squeezing through rocks!
Like the Jan Hammer - Miami Vice style music. Don't know if you've unlocked it yet but I'd slap a cable car to the top of Mad Mountain and bung a cafe and such up there

Might tweek the name from Catka Cabins to Catka Caverns State Park. Catka Cabins was the first explorer of the cave that became a state park in Orchid Bay. The caverns is the draw of the area and park was built to explore the surrounding area.
Also a small lake closer to the train area away from the river could be a nice feature for Catka Cabins/Caverns State Park.

What about a cable car up to Mad mountain? They're always crazy popular so would bring people up to those original viewing points. And I agree with everyone else here - do the 81 tile thing.

An 81 tile with another major metro area would be interesting. 😊 I know CS2 is coming out but I will be on CS1 for awhile as I won’t be upgrading my gaming systems for a while yet. 😊

Again very cool! I really like the camping area as it hits like home to me living in a rural area. We have a lot of tourist also who love to camp and hike and such, so it was super relaxing to watch you build it 😍 I'm for 81 tiles with this series! I still need to figure out what is wrong with my computer so I'm doing a lot of watching and very little playing atm. Keeps me happy 😀

Oh, I love nature reserves, they are a bit marginal in C:S but your detailing and general placement makes them always something I would really like to visit if it existed in real life!

Definitely go for 81 tiles! I was thinking the space between the mountains in the far corner by downtown could be a good place for a science park? The scientists are trying to cut themselves off from the rest of the city to conduct their secret experiments without being disturbed.

I see most are in favor of 81 tiles (as am I) so I’d like to voice an opinion for sticking to 25 for the sake of discussion
Turning on 81 tiles commits us to 81 tiles. An expectation that those 81 tiles will ALL be utilized will exist, and I do think OE has the chops to do it, but it may start to grate on him, and us for that matter. I love this series and I’d rather have it exist as a fond memory rather than dragged on for some 200 more episodes. Addressing the elephant in the room as well, CS2 is close to releasing, and I’m unsure of how I’ll feel watching both CS1 and CS2 content simultaneously, just speaking honestly.
Again, I’m all for 81 tiles, but it should be done with tempered expectations.

Id love to see you do a rural windmill farm. They’re really common in the Midwest like indiana and ohio and imo would look great in rural vanilla cities skylines

RCE would say : lets do a bride review. This bridge is an old truss bridge that was built in the 1890s. Its nothing special but a solide brigt. So i give it a 5,6 out of 10. Bridge revieeeeeeew
I would like to see 81 tiles even if you don't plan on filling the whole map since it would make the build as a whole look like it ended more naturally without the awkward tile boundary, although personally I'd love to see the whole map used
