  • Here's another truck that I've seen quite regularly at the Keystone Nationals each year. This is the Cat Scratch Fever which is a 1982 Mack Superliner with a Caterpillar engine under the hood. Apparently this truck has changed hands this year and was originally owned by the Fred Sanders Pulling Team and driven by Justin Fredo. Michael Ostetrico of Ravenna, Ohio now owns the truck and if my memory is correct, I believe this is the 2nd event this rig has competed in this year.
Getting onto the pull itself, Mike hooked to the sled and pulled it down the track a total distance of 313.48', coming in second place that evening behind Vinnie Giulitto's 1984 Mack Superliner. It was a very impressive run down the track by the CAT powered Mack machine, and it's great to see that even after the passing of Mr. Sanders, the truck is still out there competing on the circuit. Mike has also stated that both the name of the truck and colors will remain the same under its new ownership.
If you're interested in seeing the other trucks which pulled in the class, I have provided a link below to the full video of the Big Rigs class.
