Congratulations on the progression of your project. Just a reminder, make sure your electrician installs AFDD's in your consumer unit for your socket outlets if the rated current doesnt exceed 32 A its now a regulation for HMO's reg number is 421.1.7 from BS7671. The use of SPD's are not yet madotory but are a good idea to use to be ahead of the future changes. Also, as standard make sure your using RCBO's and not RCD's. A side from that I would just say thats its good that your electrician is using capping for your cables, but for future reference, make sure that it extends right to back box or point of utilisation, as well as above boarded celling where it can be accessible in the future. This will help if you ever need to replace a cable later without having to chase walls saving time and money. Other than that sub distribution can also be a good idea in HMO's for each room. This will prevent a single room tripping a circuit that supplys the whole or part of the house, as well as providing local isolation if any remidial works need to take place for a single room, so the rest of the house is not without power.
Good stuff Kelvin How remote are you?, where do you have to travel from and to to project manage this project? Interested as I had to travel 2.5 hours on my last project
The project is going along so well. Totally understand not going into the loft at the moment. The price to do that work and time doesn't really make financial sense at the moment
