Very nice -- Rush forever!
Thanks again! Rush has been at the top of my list for years.
@@grainsofsandambientlands4226 Fun fact; 2112, La Villa Strangiato, By-Tor and the Snow Dog, Xanadu and Working Man by RUSH have been played as a medley during the 30th Anniversary tour.
@@felipeaoyama3274 Yes, I know that medley very well and I'm very fond of it! I have all of their live DVDs and just watched Rush in Rio last night. So good...
oooo nice one, Rivendell's a sweet touch, and Middle earth. perfect sub for Xanadu and ancient Mongolia
Thanks for watching and the comment! Yes, I'm a fan of Coleridge's "Kubla Khan" and originally sought imagery more reflective of the poem, but images of Middle Earth via Jackson kept intruding, so I trusted that instinct and went for the mash-up. Of course, Peart was a fan of Tolkien as well, and the latter was at least somewhat influenced by the Romantic poets, so that visionary DNA was definitely calling out through the ages, from the mists of Coleridge's ever-receding opium dream...
The bells are really cool - starting at the 12:12 mark and repeat 5x. Nice shimmering effect..
Yes, the bells in the original have a nice echo effect that works really well when stretched out. Glad you like it!
Relaxing.
Glad you like it. "Relaxing" is definitely one of the experiences I was going for. I've got another ambient Rush track in the works as well...
Gorgeous, sweetly sedate.
Glad you like it and thanks again for the comments! More Rush on the way this week...
Whats greater than 12 minute Xanadu? 21 minute Xanadu
Ha... I agree! I'm sure the prog gods would approve. Glad you enjoyed the track! If you like the concept of time stretching key moments from classic prog, rock, electronic, ambient, and minimalist pieces, and other musical curiosities, feel free to subscribe for updates on similar releases. Thanks again.
I have an odd request, Ive been searching for deep space ambient music ever since I got hit in the head with a baseball during practice. I woke up from the coma a few weeks ago and now I can think and see differently , I was bad at math and now I can do advanced mathematics / sound engineering acoustics with complicated quarter wavelength formulas as well as learned a couple of new languages. But my music taste completely went to shit and I have the urge to only listen to ambient music now, can you create a deep space ambient playlist for me im searching for a specific song that goes “ hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm”
“Hmmmmmmmmmmmm-“
“-long pause”
“Mmmmmmmhhhhhhhhhhhhhhggggghhhhhhhhhhh”
Ha! Well it sounds like drone music's your thing. And not the minimalist hum from unmanned aerial vehicles (occasionally punctuated by explosions of the controversial variety), but rather, the sustained resonance of notes and/or chords of the minimalist subgenre of "drone music." This channel has some drone content. But I'll leave you to it. No need to drone on about droning... Hope you enjoy the channel!
