Im gonna be pulling my motor soon. Ordered standard King main and rod bearings. Did you get the block machined for the main journals? Or can i just throw the main bearings in and use plastigauge to check clearance on crank. Thanks
Did you measure your main journals and main journal bores or do you just go with standard size main bearings. I’m currently in the process of building my N54 and was gonna go with the factory color main bearings based what came out of the block and wants to know your opinion

I get them machined. If not use a plasti gauge

As long as your crank is in good shape you will be fine with the standard color bearings. N54 usually never have bad mains
