I'm not surprised at all by those Blazers. My old Marlin Glenfield model 25 bolt action 22 shoots lights out with them. They are always my go to round for all my 22s. They are accurate, cycle great, and seem to be very reliable
WTW. I'm glad to see the Blazers do well. I know I've put a few hundred thousand through my 1905 pump .22 Winchester. Thank you again for another great video!!!
Growing up we had a small general store. They had more stuff then I ever knew about. No matter what you asked for they would be yup we got that and they would slide the ladder clime up and pull out a drawer and get what you needed. I reminded me of the store on the tv show the Waltons. They did hunting and fishing licenses and back then store closed at 5pm and no one was open on Sundays but I remember my brother was really sick and our mom called them, they lived behind the store and they said come down and knock on the back door and we will have what you need and we can settle up leter. So growing up we all went there and purchased fishing and hunting stuff they didn't have a big variety of ammo. They had the CCI 22 LR I think they were boxes of 100 long plastic rectangular box with a sliding lid. They worked well and they were relatively inexpensive. None of us had expensive 22LR I think 2 or 3 of us had the Marlin with a 18 shot tube magazine. I think the others had similar rifles price wise but had a bottom feed magazine that I think was 5 or 6 rounds. But where sold at Kmart for under $100. The Marlin offten came with a free tasco scope. I never mounted the scope on mine. We had lots of fun at the local range for not that much money. I tried years later to put the scope on a pellet gun but at some point it must have gotten hit, dropped, or something because one of the cross hairs was floating around inside of it. Back then no one ever said anything about age, we were all probably 10 to 13 year old and rode our bicycles to the store purchased ammo then went to the rod and gun club and shot target and it wasn't a big thing. Over the years I stuck with the CCI 22LR because it always seemed to work well. I did get some Remington or Winchester 22LR and with all of us having semi automatic rifles I noticed that some non copper rounds would leave stuff in the grooves in the barrel. So we ran a brush down after a few shots. I asked at a few local shops and they seemed like they never heard of that happening. It looks like the more modern 22LR and other lead rounds may have a wax coating or something on them maybe that was the answer to leading up the barrels? Later we bought some 44 magnum reloaded at the local shop and he poured his own bullets. We had lots of issues with them leaving stuff behind in the barrel and feeling the need to run a brush down about every 6 shots. Later I asked what he put into the rounds and he said lead and zinc. He said zinc was added to be a lubricant for the lead. I know we never purchased them again. Not sure if anyone can shed some light on that or not? I generally look for copper jacket or copper washed because they seem to not mess with the bore. Aslo that shop use to push wad cutters. I had never heard of them before going into his shop. I kinda googled them and information is kinda limited. I assumed that they would be worthless. Yet the little I found on them said they were effective stopping rounds? If anyone can give me some input on the stuff above I would really appreciate it. I love going shooting however all the local places seem to have banned all semiautomatics becsuse they are Sportsman's clubs. I just want a safe place to sight in my guns and practice with them. I am searching to find places local to me that allow semiautomatic. Some people say if you don't rip off rounds real fast who will know? I said we an AR & AK don't look anything like a hunting rifle. Even from a distance. The one we shot at growing up had that rule to however it was not inforced. Keep the cool video coming.
Nothing wrong with wad cutters or semi-wad cutters they're good boolots,, especially in 45 ACP. Several different recipes for pouring your own lead bullets,, zinc has been added to a lot of things throughout the years, sunscreen, motor oil,, multivitamins... . Ammunition companies started putting coatings on their lead bullets years and years and years ago, nothing new just helps to reduce the lead fouling.
Nice to see relatively universal ammo do a pretty good if not better job then some of the more elusive rounds. Good rifle probably doesn't hurt things, nah.
Way to keep it "real world" Adam! You never see a Bergara B14 .22lr rifle being profiled in the light of a hunter/field shooter! They're usually profiled by the NRL/PRS crowd and equipped with high end NASA/DARPA approved spec. ops. gear so that someone might actually hit something out there.... on purpose! ;) Stay Frosty Adam! :)
I've got a B14r Steel that hopefully will be here Friday. Good to know that it's fairly forgiving with different brands. I bought it specifically for benchrest. Can't wait. Thanks for all the work and expense you go through to bring us these videos.
Magical sauce? 😳! Okay so I enjoy writing a few zingers at the outstanding Who Tee Who however!! In this post I simply can’t deny the outstanding shooting!!👍😎Brilliant!!!
Like the video. Great to see that gun run all the brands. I think to be really fair to the rest to shoot another round of cci at the end just to see if a hot barrel skewed the p.o.i
G’day from Australia! One thing I’d love to see is a video of shooting cans of shaving foam with something with a bit of sting - like a 22-250. Thanks, Richard
Awesome! I don’t care what people say about .22 LR, it’s fun to shoot and you can afford to go out to the range and actually put some ammo down range! 🇺🇸
Out of my slightly pimped-out 10-22, CCI usually does alright, not stellar, but far better than Remington or Winchester which as far as I'm concerned should be left at the back of the safe for when the world has run out of actual ammo. But THE best results I've gotten so far is with SK Standard + (the black and yellow box) with sub-MOA being pretty much the norm. Aguilla also did very well and so did Norma. Eley Contact also performed well, and when I say performs well, what I mean is 1 MOA @ 50y, with holes touching. Anything that is larger than that at 50 if you are using a decent scope and have your rifle tuned to your stock etc, is too big for me. If I can get these results with a stock 10-22 barrel and a Ruger drop-in BX-trigger, there's no reason to accept the sort of results I have seen from the likes of Remington. There's at least half-a-dozen different ammo that will consistently give you a 1 MOA @ 50 and these are not hard to find or hugely expensive like Lapua.
Says a lot about the awesome rifle but it takes an awesome shooter to get those tight groups. You are good at it Sir! CCI standard velocity is my favorite round, it works good out of all my .22 rifles.
It's absolute junk , I had a primer blow out in my face , misfires with good primer strikes , failures to cycle , I will never buy Winchester 22lr ammo again you get maybe 150 shots out of a 500 round box
I've got a Savage markll with the bull barrel and accu trigger and an old Cooey model 75 single shot. The Savage has a Bushnell 3-9x40 scope on it and is extremely accurate with cheap ammo. I don't know what it would do with expensive stuff because I'm too cheap to buy it 🤣. But it shoots plenty good enough for grouse and that's what I use it for. That old Cooey is just about as accurate with open sights as the Savage is with a scope if I do my part and it doesn't have anywhere close as good a trigger as the Savage.
Well I really enjoyed this video. Great job But would like to see how they did at 100 yards. I just purchased the same rifle today. So seeing how it performs is really helpful. You said it was not your rifle but would you buy one ? Once again like the video. Keep up the great work. Cheers
Nice shooting and nice rig . I reckon you'll want to get your mitts on a Bergara B14 in center-fire soon . I have a B14 Ridge in .308 , only sighted in at 100 yards with Winchester 7.62 Nato loads . I'm looking to make some handloads .
Blazers are 1250= supersonic. Standard V 1070 & a subsonic round. With the supersonic blazer its accurate if it stays supersonic to the target. I'll take a box of 100 standard V and weigh each one and put the ones that closely match in a separate box for match ammo. I'll check out how far the blazers stay supersonic. Great video as I saved a lot of ammo watching you demonstrate accuracy.
Good stuff, just one tip when shooting 22lr testing groups season the barrel with at least 10 rounds of that ammo type before shooting for groups. The barrel needs to get seasoned to the bullets lube type. Factory cheap hunting/ target ammo barely has any lube they are almost dry while your high end ammo (Eley and lapua) are heavily lubed. Lapua is oily and Eley is a beeswax talo lube as you already know from handling them. I have this same rifle I shoot it in ARA benchrest competition if you do you part and you find the ammo the rifle likes and the barrel is seasoned for it I get .2 and .3 inch groups at 50 yards easily. Good stuff though bud keep it up!
My daughter's savage rascal loves the blazer 22 lr I put a cheap tru glo scope on it. It's a 4x32 scope and she gets lots of same hole groups like you got there with the blazer. I was surprised that it groups as well as it does. She only shooting at 25 yrds though.
Im really excited to see how the norma match perform. My one 22 only likes winchester , another one shots everything but nothing really well , another one only shoots CCI but not CCI stingers . my 22 mag only shoots CCI both my 17 hmr only shoot Hornady .
WTW,,,now we need a 100 yard test with the 3 winners, 10 shots each - please....not surprised at all by the CCI or CCI Blazers, I am a little surprised by the big green box though...Oh - I think its COOL that you can actually see the bullet b-4 it hits the target with most of the ammo....thanks WTW....
Wow I gotta try the Blazers in my B14R. Had them in my vault but I didn't even bother bringing it to the range last time I went, it didn't seem likely a good candidate but might be wrong judging from your results. Really surprising from a bulk, high velocity round.
ive got 3 different .22s and i love them all. id love to get groups out of my rifle that tight ,it either needs resighted or a new barrel.ive had the thing forever
I have an old REM 541 that will shoot those Blazers better than most match ammo I have tried. Not sure what it is about the Blazers but they shoot great.
I don't remember if I shot 22 in blazer but in pistol ammunition blazer brass for my 45 auto did really good but had problems with the blazer aluminum has problems feeding
I love these grouping videos Adam. By chance do you have, or have access to a Ruger 10/22? Preferably an older model although most viewers would prefer the more recent models. Thank you...
FYI. you need to fire several rounds of each ammunition to get the lubrication that’s on each type of ammo in the barrel before shooting for groups! Makes a very big difference in group size.
I have to say that I don’t know how you could make a better gun video. I can honestly say that i have had more fun and excitement with 22 LR guns than any other. !!!! One other thing ! I wish there was some way we could all measure the amount of knowledge that all of us has learned from WTW s videos over the years and put a price tag 🏷 on it , I think everyone would owe him a hell of a lot !!!!
Surprising results. I know the super-X power point is my go too. Ive always loved Winchester since I was a kid, except their slugs I shoot Remington, my very first slug hunting experiences was with Winchester & I missed my first buck, twice. Turns out that gun hates Winchester slugs, switched to Remington & its like night & day difference; btw I got that buck with the Remington sluggers! The super-X power point shoots very accurate for me but most of all it does a awesome job on small game, I have literally gutted squirrels with it, it performs close to a 22 win mag on small game. Maybe you could do some more testing with it & others in gel, clay or something good to show expansion & or damage! Have a good one bud & God bless you guys. 👍
I always got really good groups using 40gr MiniMags ( it's my usual squirrel load ) , and basically the Blaser is just a non-plated MiniMag , so I'm not surprised that it did that well .
Blazers are the ones that came up with the idea that small pistol primers give you better accuracy then large pistol primers, like in 45acp for example!🇺🇲✝️🇺🇲
We move a lot B14s. They are what the 700 should be! We have not received any of the 22lr’s yet. I don’t want to be there when we do because if I am it likely won’t make it to the sales rack! God bless!
LOL oh boy, try some that armscor crap and see your groups open up. I have a BSA rimfire that absolutely loves Blazers. TY for posting. BTW North Alabama here.
Awesome video, great shooting. Bergara has a new model called BMR (Bergara Micro Rimfire), in my experience it shoots really good for half the price. It's more of a hunting - traditional look but it's a shooter. Thise custom targets are getting fancy... 😁 😂
Remington and Blazer would have been my guess at being the poorest grouping. Very surprised. I shoot a lot of the Remington but maybe I won't hold my nose the next time I walk by some Blazer LR.... By the way, love that rifle.
Most other videos I've seen on this rifle had feed and ejection problems. Maybe I missed it but I didn't see one in this video. Does anyone know if those problems have been fixed? Enjoyed the video. Thanks
Good video. Some of the ammo might have shot better, given some time to condition the barrel to it. When you switch ammo, some take time to get accurate again.
I'm not surprised at all by those Blazers. My old Marlin Glenfield model 25 bolt action 22 shoots lights out with them. They are always my go to round for all my 22s. They are accurate, cycle great, and seem to be very reliable
I’ve got one of those but mines a model 10 is there a difference?
They are pretty similar but the model 10 is only a single shot while the model 25 came with a 7 round magazine
@@matttyreeoutdoors oh I didn’t know that, thanks.
I have a Marlin 100 single shot from the 30’s that the Blazers will shoot 3 shells in the same hole consistently at 25 yards with iron sights
Bought the Bergara B-14 Ridge in 270 after these reviews. WTW has the most trustworthy reviews in my book!
Thanks for watching Andrew!
Love the fact that you can see the bullets before they hit the plate
My Bergara BXR loves Norma TAC-22 and Federal 40 Automatch
WTW. I'm glad to see the Blazers do well. I know I've put a few hundred thousand through my 1905 pump .22 Winchester. Thank you again for another great video!!!
Great groups B14 lookin good buddy I know what I want for Christmas!
Awesome as always brother you never disappoint!

My T1x using Blazer ammo I put 7 shots in a 3.5" group at 200 yards and 10 shots in 5/8" at 50 yards. That was the first time out at those ranges.

Glad to see you are putting the plus on your targets now to do your accuracy tests now you know your holding true every shot 👍

Damn hoot that's the best I ever saw you shoot. Have a new appreciation of your prowess. Your eye was dialed in today.
Love those results. CCI is just down the road a bit from me, it’s all I run for 22 LR.

Thanks for watching Ronald!
Great video. Those are some tight groups. What brand would you recommend for a 22 mag.
At Walmart, that super X 22LR is double the price of all the other 22LR ammo offered, so let's see if there is any reason for it!
It's absolute junk , I had a primer blow out in my face , misfires with good primer strikes , failures to cycle , I will never buy Winchester 22lr ammo again you get maybe 150 shots out of a 500 round box
And the winner is BLAZER wtw
Keep up the good work 👌🏾
Nice shooting as usual WTW, lots of good ammo info
I've got a Savage markll with the bull barrel and accu trigger and an old Cooey model 75 single shot. The Savage has a Bushnell 3-9x40 scope on it and is extremely accurate with cheap ammo. Use to see days like that. Whether shooting firearms or shooting pool some days your just full of the jazz. And you feel it before the first shot.
Well I really enjoyed this video.
Great job
But would like to see how they did at 100 yards.
I just purchased the same rifle today.
So seeing how it performs is really helpful.
You said it was not your rifle but would you buy one ?
Once again like the video.
Keep up the great work.
Cheers
I love this one, yes
Awesome video WTW and amazing groups.
Nice shooting and nice rig . I reckon you'll want to get your mitts on a Bergara B14 in center-fire soon . I have a B14 Ridge in .308 , only sighted in at 100 yards with Winchester 7.62 Nato loads . I'm looking to make some handloads .
Very nice rifle. Excellent groups. Thank you
Get yourself a Bergara it wont let you down. The triggers and actions are sweet.
I have not heard of Timber. Who makes them
@@lz3572auto fill got me. Supposed to say Bergara
That is one sweet plinker WTW...That's some amazing groups for a 22lr!!

Sweet rifle and great test!
You can't beat CCI 22lr ammo. It's all I buy. I get great groups even out of my Marlin model 60 with it.
Everything I put the Blazers through have excelled too .
The CCI Blazer is really great quality for bulk type ammo my semiautomatic rifles really shoot well wit it.
Good stuff, just one tip when shooting 22lr testing groups season the barrel with at least 10 rounds of that ammo type before shooting for groups. My daughter's savage rascal loves the blazer 22 lr I put a cheap tru glo scope on it. It's a 4x32 scope and she gets lots of same hole groups like you got there with the blazer. I was surprised that it groups as well as it does. She only shooting at 25 yrds though.

👍👍👍👍 mine runs toe to toe with my cz457 mtr vpt. Great rifles
Cci standard velocity is what I expected it is just as good in my cz. The blazer really surprised me.
Thanks for the good information and your usual good humor.
Eley Tenex shoots best after the barrel has acclimatised to their lube. It is pronounced "Eee lee". Great video thanks.
Some very nice groups ya had there. Good video WTW! T/C
Great video! Love these ammo comparisons, especially 22lr! Nice rifle and good shooting too!
Can’t wait for the 100 yard testing!
The golden bullets and blazers were surprisingly very good.👍👍
I have an old REM 541 that will shoot those Blazers better than most match ammo I have tried. Not sure what it is about the Blazers but they shoot great.
I don't remember if I shot 22 in blazer but in pistol ammunition blazer brass for my 45 auto did really good but had problems with the blazer aluminum has problems feeding
That is one sweet rig! The cheaper the ammo, the better the accuracy😃 That must be why these are so pricey!
I love these grouping videos Adam. By chance do you have, or have access to a Ruger 10/22? Preferably an older model although most viewers would prefer the more recent models. Thank you...
I'm convinced that 22 rifles are best with standard velocity. Twist rate?
I run Aguila 40 lead and Federal 40 lead out of my Volquartsen LLV race gun.
Nice
Well now this was a interesting video and as far as my results have been I've always done better on accuracy with standard velocity ammo.
Interesting results, I love my old marlin 70p with the “micro groove” barrel, been taking it out a lot more recently, 22lr is just plain fun to shoot!
Good shooting. Always love shooting 22, easy on the pocket, and easy on the shoulder....
The blazer ammo really surprised me
I would love to see your test with Aguila 22lr. I’ve had really good performance with them, but I don’t have a Bergara!
I had great groups with my Schultz and Bender single shot target rifle, using CCI standard. Shot very tight.
What do you sight your 22 lr s in at 50 or 100 yards .Great video also
50 yds
FYI. you need to fire several rounds of each ammunition to get the lubrication that’s on each type of ammo in the barrel before shooting for groups! Makes a very big difference in group size.
Nice shooting! I need a 22lr...one of these days I get it.
I have to say that I don’t know how you could make a better gun video. I can honestly say that i have had more fun and excitement with 22 LR guns than any other. !!!! One other thing ! I use Remington Yellow Jacket 22lr, find it to be a great grouping round out of my Anschotz bolt action.
Any 22lr video is a really fun video
I think the 22LR is a pretty good boolot
Good job 👏. Actual results 👏
Cool 👍😎🙏
Awesome rifle 🔥🔥
L❤️VE the rimfire videos
Dadgum you can shooooot “Ol’ Son” 👍🏻 nice rifle
Blazers are awesome wtw .31inch group at 50yards good job man💓💓💓💓
The bergara b14, just great groups. Good morning WTW, thanks.

Hey I see a yellow box of the Winchester anniversary 22LR that stuff's really expensive 😮
It isn't more expensive than normal. Same ammo just fancy box. Everything is expensive now
@@WHOTEEWHO Yep everything is definitely expensive. And just keep watching the inflation rise even more. This is just the beginning.
LOL oh boy, try some that armscor crap and see your groups open up. I have a BSA rimfire that absolutely loves Blazers. TY for posting. BTW North Alabama here.
Finally, he's got a good .22! No more Walmart junky Marlins and Savages.
That bergara b14 is a shooter, fantastic groups there Adam, which cartridge would you go for 270 or 30-06 looking for another deer rifle
Hard to beat cci/blazer. Some of the best rimfire made.
Would like to see Wolf Gold, and CCI Green tag, shot out of your B14. They work the best for me.
My ruler long range .22 love the blazer. I’m getting 0.25 at 50meters and 0.87 at 100 meters
Awesome video, great shooting.
Bergara has a new model called BMR (Bergara Micro Rimfire), in my experience it shoots really good for half the price. It's more of a hunting - traditional look but it's a shooter.
Thise custom targets are getting fancy... 😁 😂
And the win goes to blazer. I have never had issues with blazer.
Remington and Blazer would have been my guess at being the poorest grouping. Very surprised. I shoot a lot of the Remington but maybe I won't hold my nose the next time I walk by some Blazer LR.... By the way, love that rifle.
👍 All but the X were great groups. My shooters do not seem to like it either. Thanks for the video.
Most other videos I've seen on this rifle had feed and ejection problems. Maybe I missed it but I didn't see one in this video. Does anyone know if those problems have been fixed?
Enjoyed the video. Thanks
That's a very nice looking bing bang..
Who He HA! Nice groups.... Was that Blazer the 38g or 40g bullet?
Good video. Some of the ammo might have shot better, given some time to condition the barrel to it. When you switch ammo, some take time to get accurate again.
