I have owned quite a few CZ's (452/453/455/457) over a period of time then i bit the bullet and bought a B14R and never looked back. Now, the CZ's are fine rifles and i think the best in their price range but the Bergara is another level. Mine is the steel barrel with a Timney 2 stage precision trigger set at 6 oz and it is the proverbial "tack driver". My ammo of choice is the SK Standard Plus and it'll throw them around MOA at 100 yards all day long if i do my bit. What a rifle!
I just found out I have a Bergara B-14 Hunter in 270 on the way to my FFL dealer right now. My wife got it for me as a present. I always gravitate to wood stock rifles, and after spending hours researching Bergara rifles I have my heart set on the Timber model. I figure one in each caliber offered should do me, lol. The Timber in 270 seems non-existent right now so I'll have to wait. I'm super glad I mentioned to her that I'd "settle" for the Hunter model if it were a 270 or 7mm-08. Now I just got to start dropping subtle hints that the 7mm-08 would be a perfect Father's Day gift. Maybe I'll ply her with a impromptu trip to the Coach store.
Our club used to shoot a "cheap ammo" .22LR match at 100 yards. We used the IBS 100 yard target with the 1/2 inch center ring the X and the 1 inch 9 ring our 10 ring. Five bulls, 5 shots each and we shot two sets for score. I shot the best ever score of 490x500-21X. Of 50 scoring shots at 100 yards, at least 21 were in the 1/2 inch ring and 19 more in the 1 inch 10 ring. The cartridge most of us used was the Geco Semi-Auto that cost $3.50 per box at the time. I haven't seen any Geco in a long time but I have hopes that it will return.
Such a sweet rival brother I don’t have a high test 22 Long I’ve been using my old speed master 522 Remington with an Nikon scope But it does pretty good though
You really need to add a barrel harmonic device to yoir platforms. After adding one to my rugger .22. The 100 yrd groups are 1/2" with cci. Once you do add one. You will add one to every fire arm you own.
hi again ...... like when you do grouping shots and try different Ammo , i have a 17HMR rougar and that shoots very well , i use 17g bullets at a 100yrds one inche group , you help me out a lot with your videos ....... Thank you ..... keep them coming
Really like your videos. Real and not sponsored. 👍Just mounted a Arken Ep 5-25 on my new B14R Taking it to an 25 yard indoor range tomorrow. To sight in. Taking some tac22 , blazer , and Eley contact Won’t be able to get to 50 and 100 till the spring. Cold up here in northern Alberta Canada. But I’ll let you know how it does at 25
I love this , a lot of people stress about being 1” groups , but just think , your cell phone is about 3”x5” (regular sizes) , so getting EVERY SINGLE SHOT on a target smaller than a cell phone at 100 yards is pretty dam good , . Aint never seen a persons head that small 🤷🏻♂️🤣 (in case this is all you had in ww3)
How bad was the wind blowing? Try going out as early in the morning when it cool with hardly any wind blowing. YOU will shoot tighter groups! Thanks again!
Ladies and Gentlemen!! Step right up and watch the amazing Who Tee Who and his trusty Bergara rifle chambered in the fantastic.22 Long Rifle!! This is spectacular accuracy by any standard and No your mommy can not get you a fancy shmancy rifle like Who Tee Who’s!!
I was amazed with CCI Blazer in mine. I shot all that I had and switched to SK Standard bulk. It comes in 500rd cans. It shoots better than the Blazer in my B-14r. It was one of the few rifles that I had my gunsmith lap the barrel. It helped (or at least it made me think it did).
You should test cci 40 gr. 1070 I used about 2 bricks a few years ago not one misfire.good stuff like. ae 36 gr. cci is accurate at 200 yards in my old rem score master , did you try the 100 yard grouping test with a centered scope ,just count the clicks they say , left to right. Stop on the middle number! then shoot, the point of impact shows you how far the angle is off. then slide the windage adjust rings .that'll do. Great show.
Great shooting!! I do not have access to a Bergara nor do we have a 100 yard range. I do enjoy shooting empty 12ga shotshells at a distance of 30 yards. The rifle used is a borrowed Winchester model 52 with a low power scope.
With my B14r I adjusted the torque on the receiver screws and that helped tighten up groups with Norma Tac22. Start at 30 in lb and go up by 5. You will see the difference as you do 5 round groups. Find the best for your set up. Mine is 45 in a KRG stock. I shit consistently .4 or less at 50 yards. Enjoy!
All my CZ’s are tack drivers. Would be interesting to see how the B14 stacks up against the CZ. My old long barrel CZ 452 lux will print a 50 shot group that can be covered with a dime. Very impressive.
I have a 16.5" MTR in an Oryx Chassis and two B14R's, both in carbon and in steel. The CZ can hang with them at both 50 & 100, but I can make way more consistent one jagged hole groups at 50 with either Bergara than I can with the CZ. I love all three of them.
I bought one and my tikka T1x and cz pro varmint out shoot it at 50 and 100yds using all lapua loads and eley as well scope is vortex venom. It shoots good don't get me wrong but mine just doesn't live up to its price tag. I get sub moa out of both my other rifles.
Check the velocity if they go super sonic, try some that are sub sonic from the rifle and see what happens, going transsonic usually do weird things to the bullets.
Pretty good grouping awesome rifle!!!! Just wondering wether you clean the barrel in between groups or different ammo?? Or wether cleaning barrel would improve groups???
Additional barrel length doesn't really matter that much with a .22LR round, particularly since you are mainly shooting sub-sonic, at least for precision shooting. Trying to be super accurate with a trans-sonic round that light doesn't really work as the transition from trans-sonic to sub-sonic makes the bullet wobble in flight. The additional barrel length adds velocity, but not really accuracy, at least at over 50 yard ranges.

Try mini mags they’re supposed to be the best I heard
I don't get the giant mag for a .22lr lol. Looks cool? I guess?
It's made on a remington 700 action, and trigger group. And stock.
The mag is an AICS design as the Bergara is designed as a trainer for center-fire rifles and they primarily use that design.

Hey bud what gran bullets does your Ruger American 308 like
MOA is 1.047 inches so you had 3 groups that was minute of angle. The .90, 1.03 and 1.04 groups.

Try the B14R with some CCI Standard Velocity. Both of mine (steel & carbon) love that stuff.
