Relax Your Way to Soft Skin with Milk Bath Scoops

- Make milk bath scoops. They're very similar to bath bombs. The scoop is loaded with lots of skin-loving ingredients. After the scoop fizzles out, you're left with a milk bath that's not only very relaxing but is also great for skin.
RECIPE: 1 cup (250 grams) baking soda, 1/2 cup (100 grams) citric acid, 1/2 cup (50 grams) [any] milk/yogurt powder [I used coconut milk powder], 1/2 cup (70 grams) clay [I used Kaolin], 1/4 cup (30 grams) colloidal oatmeal, 2 teaspoons (6 grams) titanium dioxide, 1 teaspoon (2.5 grams) SLSa Sodium Lauryl Sulfoacetate, 15 grams melted butter/oil [I used cocoa butter], 25 milliliters fragrance oil, 15 milliliters surfactant [use bubble bath or coco betaine], 10 milliliters polysorbate 80. Baking soda & citric acid are responsible for reactions in water. You may replace beneficial ingredients with others. SLSa slows reactions in the water. You may use a different dry surfactant instead. Add more for additional foam & lather OR less for a more vigorous scoop. Titanium dioxide (TD) makes the water an opaque white! If you add mica powder, add less TD, or omit it. The TD makes it hard to see sparkling in water. Liquid surfactant makes scoops dry faster & harder. Use any butter or oil. Polysorbate 80 is the best for emulsifying butters & heavy oils with water. ALTERNATE RECIPE: In 1 recipe, I split the mix in half. I added 1 tsp. SLSa to one & nothing to the other. I scooped mix in a chunky style (I put SLSa mix, other mix, more SLSa mix, then other mix. It created foamy/lathery reactions AND vigorous reactions at the same time!
Add wet to dry & mix. Knead mixture to make sure ingredients are fully incorporated. Let mixture sit 5-10 minutes. I used a medium scooper. Fill scoop & make the bottom as flat as possible.
Release on parchment. You may re-scoop puffy ones. Add decoration while scoops are still moist. Or spritz them with witch hazel & add decoration. Recipe makes 10 medium scoops that last 6 months-1 year.
** COMMON ISSUES ** 1. Can't get a scoop to form. Pack scoop well. 2. Mix isn't holding together to form a scoop OR 3. Scoops are falling apart after you've successfully scooped a few. Your mix isn't wet enough or has dried out; add a bit of wet at a time (melted butter/oil, liquid bubble bath, glycerin), mixing after each addition until mix sticks together. 4. Scoops are sticking to everything & won't come out. Mix is too wet; add a bit of baking soda or SLSa at a time, mixing after each addition. 5. Mix is puffing up. Too much wet was added or wet was added too quickly. For the next recipe you may add less wet, but for now wait until mixture is no longer puffy. Or, you could add more dry (but I'd choose the first option). 6. Scoops expanding or growing. Mix is too wet. Keep re-scooping them until they no longer grow OR combine all scoops in bowl & mash them down. Wait until mix is no longer puffy then scoop them a final time. 7. Scoops won't come out no matter what. You may have a faulty scooper, or a scooper that's not right for this job!

What can we do if we want to make them in bubble bar form instead of bath bomb?
Hello, good afternoon What can I replace the SLSA with?
Dora you make the most beautiful products. Everything always has a luxurious look and feel to it. I have gotten so behind on videos. I just got home from the hospital after having a radical hysterectomy for uterine cancer. Hoping I don't have to do chemo. I am down in the bed so I am going to play catch up of the videos. God bless
Sorry that you're going through that (I cant even imagine). But, I hope to be a source of inspiration & relaxation in this difficult time for you
@@CreativeBathLab you are and everything you make is absolutely wonderful. God bless
👍❤️
Hi Dora, I can't say enough about your beautiful work ❤ I'm making this at the moment but I'm having trouble with the surfactant, I ordered the cocamidopropyl betaine it was supposed to arrive yesterday then they said today and nothing, is running late but I have coco glucoside is it ok to use it instead? Thank you hun ❤
Sure!
They are amazing, I loved them.
I have a question please Dora is it ok to add dead sea mud instead a dry ingredient like corn starch in some recipes or colloidal oat or clay in this one by the same amount?
Thanks in advance for your reply.
Of course!
These look amazing! These look so easy to make :) Do you have to use a scoop or would a mold work as well?
They are easy. U can use either one. When using molds though, just wait longer for the mix to dry out a bit more so the mix doesnt get stuck in the mold.
❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
Those are beautiful! I'm so glad you shared them with us! Thank you for the recipe. Did you happen to get your box from Sargent Bubbles?
I believe you know the answer to that since you are the winner. Great job on that scrub, seriously! Like wow!!!
@@CreativeBathLab Winner...what?? Am I missing something?
Please can u tell me the secret of bathbomb harden.. As I have been tried all method if i add water it's become cracked if I make with oil only its become good and never get harden please do help... I love you channel and I keep watching all the time 💞💞
Great question & I will post new video SOON!
In description: a chunky style, what? And do you mean to tell us, we can use bubble bath in it? Like what kind???
Do you have to let these dry for a certain length of time before packaging?
24 hours
do you sell the products that you make and if so where can i buy them
Sorry boo. I don’t sell at the moment
Melted butter?
Shea butter, or cocoa butter, mango butter etc....
That much titanium dioxide will also be on your skin when you get out of the tub.
none
Wat is surfactant , wat can i use
coco betaine
@@CreativeBathLab thank u so much 😘
If I put oats would it mold overtime?
I wondered that too
You could make half the batch in C
Ok 👌🏽
I really don't believe so. I've added colloidal oatmeal & oats to so much stuff like bath soak, bombs, etc. I've let them sit for months at a time & they've never grew mold or spoiled or anything
@@CreativeBathLab ok thank you so much 😊
You're so cute. Why don't you ever face the other direction. Loosen up girl :)
I hate being in front of the camera, so it's the same clip over & over lol
@@CreativeBathLab I see. Well your beautiful. So you shouldn't be so nervous.
