I believe the thing that I like most about your videos compared to others is the bath bombs themselves are really beautiful. I am finally about to try my hands at this, but suffice to say, you have a wonderful eye for color and design. Thank you for sharing☺
I followed a recipe that told me to get a spray bottle of water and put it on mist. I tried it, but my bombs expanded. I was so disappointed. I followed your recipe and the bombs are the bomb! Lol! I'm so pleased so far. I'm letting them sit overnight. I believe that they are going to be great! Thank you so much for your easy instructions!
Thank you for sharing. Sharing is caring. I will be trying this beginners recipe for making simple bath bombs. Yes, I am a beginner in this type of crafting. I will be making "colorless" bombs. Again, thank you for sharing and may God continue to bless you.🙏🙏🙏🙏

I've been making bath bombs for three years now and I keep learning about how to produce a great bath bomb every time. I've tried the poly 80 trick from you and it works, but I also kept using the alcohol because I live in zero humidity and my bath bombs kept drying out too fast...my last batch, made with poly and alcohol expanded. It has great bubbles and action, just hard, squashed, cracked too badly to fix or turn into fizzy dust. But I use them and they are fun! I'm going to (try harder) not to add the alcohol in my next batch...and thanks!!! I needed this tutorial.
Hi Dora, I’ve been making bath bombs on and off for about 2 years. My 4 year old grandson loves bath bombs and he expects new ones from his Gigi so I’m always looking for new cool ways to make them for his bathtime enjoyment. I love your videos. And omg! Yes never spray alcohol or witch hazel on the mix. I swear idk where that terrible idea came from lol But you’re correct it’s a definite No No. I have learned so much from you. I enjoy every video and I must say you definitely know your stuff and it’s obvious you have done your homework. Everything I have tried has turned out great! So, I usually watch a couple times a week and each time I pickup great information. Keep doing what you’re doing. Btw you have a wonderful, happy and bubbly no pun intended lol personality, which makes learning much more fun. It’s obvious you love what you do. That’s awesome!
Hi Dora! Your handmade treats are absolutely beautiful. I agree with zero aqueous solution for making bombs. I only add poly 80, surfactant, and FO. No premature fizzing or warts. Thank you for always sharing your craft.
I don’t have this issue with mine. Are u drying them fully? If this is an issue I’ve read the only way to fix it is by incorporating water &/or alcohol into the mix (which is something I refuse to do bc it NEVER works out well)
This looks great! We have recently tried to make bath bombs for the first time using a kit from a store and it did not go as we expected and documented the results in a video on or channel. We came across your channel as we're looking for ways to make bath bombs using own ingredients!
Thanks for always sharing, I tried to double batch the other day, to save time. And it was a mess! Never doing that again.. bath Bombs making is soothing for me, but with double batching it became a nightmare! I love watching your videos..
Thank you for all you do I love this channel it's my favorite 💘 and I made my first successful bathbomb today and I'm super excited to start my new journey.
This recipe is great thank you! I added 1tsp of carrier oil for that extra hold and stability I'm sure its not needed though! Question also! So you put in liquid colour.. then you added powdered colour? I have been using these liquid colours but I can't get them bright and bold they are more pastel and they don't seem to colour the water in a dramatic way. I used 10 drops of one colour, maybe not enough? Thank you!! ❤
Hello! I appreciate the clarity with which you explain the process. I am from Bolivia and unfortunately here we do not have as much variety of colors / pigments so I have complications when it comes to giving colors as vibrant as the one in your video. Thank you again! I'm learning a lot on your channel...
@Welcome's House sometimes that option is too expensive for some people. For example, I live in south Africa and strong pigments are hard to find(I just found a great soapmaking website selling great quality micas, thank God) but even if the mica is $2 on Amazon, the shipping is $180... It just doesn't seem worth it. Even if you buy in bulk, shipping costs are insane lately.
Your videos are the best bath bomb vids on UA-cam!! I’m confused about the colour part. It’s not written in the recipe, you used a liquid and a “colour powder” I am wondering what the liquid was? Is it 5 ml I should be adding?
It's difficult to find a great recipe for bath bombs . It's not a simple one and done. Keeping humidity low is super important though. I can't make bath bombs the day it rains or the day after, they will not stay formed, they just fall apart, so a dehumidifier is a wonderful purchase. Humidity should be below 50. I actually prefer about 42. Everyone's recipe is different in this regard. I also use kaolin clay and cream of tarter and coconut milk, as they make the water feel nice. Sometimes I'll substitute the milk for colloidal oatmeal. I use lakes and dyes to color my bombs although a few use mica too. I'm going to try adding a liquid surfactant rather tham 99% alcohol, like you suggest and see if this helps. I've got a ton of many different surfactants, so no problem ther, lol! Thanks for the tutorial! Jill
I was choosing materials to create the Bath Bomb and this video was incredibly helpful! Thank you for your useful explanation.☺ I'm worried about your hand. I hope you recover well!
I like this simple recipe, it's perfect for trying out and then embellishing later! My only complaint about the video is that the white text is difficult to read on some of the video itself, but other than that *chef's kiss*

I am so glad, blessed really to have found your channel. You are so generous and I truly thank you for all your help, guidance and sharing your experience. I'm new to making bath bombs so I do have a question and hope its not a stupid question. I was wondering do we use both mica and lake colorants as well as liquid colorants in a bomb recipe. I thought it was one or the other but I noticed you added all 3 for one single recipe. Why add mica to liquid and also lake powder. I'm a novice and apologize for my ignorance. Thank you in advance for any help you can give me.
Hey Lisa. There are no silly questions. I don't normally add all 3. I was demonstrating how to add colorants to a bath bomb recipe (for the sake of the video). If I do add all 3 I normally use 90% dye bc it dissolves in water, then I might add lake or neon color powder to brighten the color up a bit (10% at the absolute most bc it is not water soluble). Then you can add mica for sparkle.
Hey Dora! I recently found you and have become obsessed with your videos! I've struggled with Bath bombs so much, and have given up on them several times over the years and just decided not to worry with them anymore. But I always end up coming back to them. Your videos have really helped me alot and I finally have confidence that I'll be able to "get it right" this time :) Haven't used one of your recipes yet but getting ready to. One question though, how long does it take your bombs to completely dissolve. I'm wanting mine to last for at least 5 mins, and so far it's only about 3 mins. I'm using the 2.5" sphere molds. I'm currently not using cornstarch or a surfactant so I'm wondering if that could be the reason why they're dissolving too fast. Any suggestions you have are appreciated. Thanks again for all you do ❤

Hi dora! I've been watching your videos for a few weeks now. You are an amazing teacher! Thank you for taking the time to teach us ❤. I have a question. I want foamy bubbles. Should i switch the coco glucoside for SLSa instead? Would it be the same measurements?
What's the difference in fragrance oils and essential oils? How does that effect liquid to dry ratio for bath bombs? What type of carrier oil would work well for the essential oils and bath bombs?
Thank you Dora. I’ve been trying my hardest at these. I’m also adding treats inside of them. The MOMENT i think they are fine, like a few days later, they crumble to the touch. I been crying my eyes out over what I could be doing wrong. I’m still working on it but bath bombs are a headache for me.
Fekisha I hear you & I’m hear to tell you that ALL bath bomb makers go thru this! Mine was 3 months of this until I finally made a bath bomb that I was proud of (that worked). Don’t give up! There’s a learning curve to bath bomb making & the ONLY thing you can do is practice. You can try 109+ greatest recipes that work for every one else but the truth is that it just takes time, practice, and (above all) patience to actually develop a recipe and method that works for you, your climate, your ingredients, etc. hang in there just a little bit longer and I promise you -you will get the hang of it!
Thanks alot for sharing ❤ one question: can you mix Polysorbate 80 and slsa? Want my bombs to be a foambath :) if so, how much should I’ll add of slsa ?😊
I would so love to learn more about making them because I have tried like 3 times and each time I failed. So I am just a plain soaper who gets so many requests for bath bombs and bath salts. I make awesome bath salts but I need more help with the bombs. Please help this bomber not suck any more.
Hi Dora.. i love your videos 🤗🥰 Can you please help me. Here in my country i cannot find polysorbate 80 with what i can replace it? Please answer back 🙏 😊 Thank you
Hi Dora! You make wonderful stoff! I live in Sweden and have a hard time to find and buy poly 80, Is it a must to make bath bombs? What can I replace it with? Have I understood correctly that you use Poly 80 when you use Mica powder? If I use soap colors do I med Poly 80? I have to thank you for your fantastic Chanel! A big hugh from! Gina
Gina, this question is inspiration for a tutorial! It's such a common question that I feel like I need to do one about it! But to answer your question: The only emulsifiers that I know of & have used before are Polysorbate 80, polysorbate 20, or hydrogenated castor oil (peg 40). You need an emulsifier for when using powder colors that don’t dissolve in water. If you use a powder color that doesn’t dissolve in water (i.e. lakes, micas, pigments) without an emulsifier it's going to make an ugly mess & you'll get that dreaded ring around the tub. The severity of the mess, of course, depends on the color & how much of the color that you use. It also helps oils (including fragrance oil) mix in the water- so the oil doesn’t pool on top the water. So while it's not absolutely crucial to the performance of your bath products, I do highly recommend it. And, in fact, it does help the performance of bath bombs. It acts as a buffer that slows reactions in the water. Without an emulsifier or a surfactant your bath bombs will fizz really loud & dissolve even faster!
@@CreativeBathLab thank’s for your respons! I have understood that you have to use a emulsifier when you use Mica in a bath bomb. As a told you, I can’t buy Polsorbate 80 or 20 in my country. But I have done your herb bath bombs and they are lovely!😍 It’s a shame I can’t by the right stoff so I can do colorful bath bombs. But it is what it is! Thank’s again Dora for your responsen. Continental to create !😊😍 You do it so well!🤗 Regards Gina Gina
I used this recipe to make my first ever bath bomb ghosts. Since I wanted to keep them white and the fragrance I used had vanilla in it. I added equal parts stabilizer to fragrance. Idk if that’s right but that’s what I do for my soaps? I noticed they are getting puffed up and are no longer smooth like when they first came out of the mold. Is this normal or was it the added stabilizer that threw off the dry/wet ratio? Should I shrink wrap them to save them? Dora haaaalllp! Lol
Thank you Dora. Trying this today.. been really struggling getting them not to crack by next day. Very low humidity (about 22) Question: I don’t see any oil in your recipe? So - no coconut, grape-seed or other oil correct? Thank you for sharing always! -Momo
Hello I'm from Chile and I love what you do. I am just starting out with bath boms and I have done several tests, my bubbles do not fall apart but they are still fragile, how long does it take for them to dry and become completely hard. Thank you and many blessings
Hi Dora Thank you this was great! Can you please advise where is the best place/s to purchase ingredients, e.g. general shopping centre. PS we live in Australia

A tip for making these is to mix everything but the citric acid. Add it lastly after getting the proper consistency. Also use a mixer. Good luck.
When would you add the citric acid and what difference would it make?

@@CreativeBathLab thank’s for your respons! I have understood that you have to use a emulsifier when you use Mica in a bath bomb. As a told you, I can’t buy Polsorbate 80 or 20 in my country. But I have done your herb bath bombs and they are lovely!😍 It’s a shame I can’t by the right stoff so I can do colorful bath bombs. But it is what it is!
Thank’s again Dora for your responsen.
Continental to create !😊😍
You do it so well!🤗

Hi Dora. Can i add liquid bubble bath to this recipe?
I would love to just do this all day
Can you add essential oil instead of fragrance oil? If so, how much?
I used this recipe to make my first ever bath bomb ghosts. Since I wanted to keep them white and the fragrance I used had vanilla in it. I added equal parts stabilizer to fragrance. Idk if that’s right but that’s what I do for my soaps?
I noticed they are getting puffed up and are no longer smooth like when they first came out of the mold. Is this normal or was it the added stabilizer that threw off the dry/wet ratio?
Should I shrink wrap them to save them?
Dora haaaalllp! Lol
Thanks!
😘
Chelle! What a surprise! This isn't like you to give a super sticker! LOL. I appreciate it!
Thank you Dora. Trying this today.. been really struggling getting them not to crack by next day. Very low humidity (about 22) Question:
I don’t see any oil in your recipe? So - no coconut, grape-seed or other oil correct? Thank you for sharing always! -Momo
Correct. I use other ingredients instead but you can definitely use oil
Maravilhoso ❤️
Oppinion on shea/coco butter?
Are they beneficial?
Any alternative option?
Hi Dora, me again, also if I want to add almond oil how should I adjust my recipe. Love your videos
Subtract the amount of wet ingredients that you're adding of oil
Hello I'm from Chile and I love what you do. I am just starting out with bath boms and I have done several tests, my bubbles do not fall apart but they are still fragile, how long does it take for them to dry and become completely hard. Thank you and many blessings
About 24 hours to get out the fragile state then it could take up to a week or longer until they fully dry to where they float
The mixture getting wet while am molding ..what can i do ????? Please
This gives me confidence. Thank you!
Amy subs for surfactants?. I have cocoa betaine.
thats fine
Adore Your Channel❣
Thanks so much!
Hi Dora Thank you this was great! Can you please advise where is the best place/s to purchase ingredients, e.g. general shopping centre. PS we live in Australia
I don’t know I shop on Amazon a lot but if you live in Australia I don’t think the other sites I shop at would deliver to you. Try wholesale supplies plus
