Howdy y’all, Dale here. Those dang Evil Olive were the bane of my existence this summer. I was so excited to grow them (even though I heard the taste was not the best). Everyone one I started from seed would die just after germinating. Finally I got a few seeds to survive and turn into plants. They produced tomatoes at a good rate until our triple degree temperatures killed the entire garden. As far as their taste, I didn’t not find it as bad as most reviews stated, but it was different tasting than any other tomatoes I’ve had. Over all, I grew it mainly for the name and experience, but it’s not one that I will probably ever grow again. 👍🏻
Thanks tons! Sounds like a tough experience for both of us this season. Ours were a bit of a struggle at first to get going too but never sure if it is the type or our rough situation over here. I hate to disparage any variety and I can see how some may like and do well with this kind but not a great grow for us either. Saving seeds but may be a 'forgot the trouble' several seasons down the line retry. :)
Sounds like it is going to be a fun grow season. May be up for an exchange in the future but right now are too hectic and overwhelmed to do it. Time to get some stuff done indoors. LOL We are icy and snow covered. Sorry to hear about health issues and hopefully things are going better for you as we enter the New Year. Stay safe and motivated. :) @@Beem0b0t
Thanks a bunch! That is a good question. The best tomato that comes to mind with a bit of that is the Dwarf Lemon Ice. That one may be a bit tougher to get seeds for but is a great grow. On the cherry size tomatoes I would say the Yellow Pear. A large tomato with a sort of sour taste is also the Brandywine. Its flavor is almost wine-like and out of all the variations of it the Black Brandywine is my favorite. Its sour is a bit different that the first two though but a unique likeable flavor. :)
I think I'm all caught up.
Yup, cool name and color.
Thats a pretty big plant.
Thanks tons! A really interesting grow for us this year. :)

I am looking for a type tomato with sour taste to plant next year. Any suggestion?
