I used this method on the passenger side, worked well. I did the from the top method, removing the air box and that worked well too. If the wheel well method works as well on the driver side, I'd do that.
Good luck! I’ve done this many times. If you need more room consider removing part of the fender and/or using a jack to lift the car up for extra clearance.
I just did the drivers side from above i took out airbox it was very hardonce after i have to unscrew it with hand and a stick twisting it left thru the small gap. Then i got the bulb out and could see i didnt buy the ds2 hid bulb and messed up. Although it worked only till i got a random tool to help me twist with my other hand. Havent done passenger.
No bumper removal. No removing wheel well. Pop the plastic rivets under the hood. Remove plastic around engine. Grab washer tank lid. Twist a quarter turn and pull up. Now change your bulb the old fashioned way. Easy. On the other side remove one bolt from air filter housing. Loosen band clamp at air filter housing. Remove filter housing and replace that bulb. Then put it all back together. Takes about 5 minutes, 1 wrench, and 1 screwdriver.

You should really figure out how to create a video and post it, because I'm dying to see both of them done in 5 minutes. When you remove the dustcaps from the housings, there is virtually no room with that fender lining in the way, to be able to get your hand in there, twist the bulb, and even get the bulb pulled out, without breaking the tip off of the bulb, and cussing out Jesus and the Easter Bunny in the process...Maybe my hands are just too big.

It works well on both sides, but it's pretty tight. You may have to go by the "feel" rather than visual confirmation of the fit.
Do you turn the bulb cover clock wise or counter clockwise ?
This only works if you don’t have HID. If your 07-08 maxima equip with factory HID you have to remove bumper

2007-2008 ALL HAVE XEON hid ds2 make sure you order the correct bulb i wasted my time having the wrong one
