2:43 - Tanker car implosion; For those who don't know, this is a demonstration of what happens when you release the contents of a tanker car without opening the air intake port on the top. These train cars hold liquids, and those liquids are dispensed via valves on the bottom; gravity does the work to let the liquids fall out of the tanker car into the next reservoir. But the weight of the liquid continuously falling out of the tank, combined with a failure to remember to open the air intake port, creates a lower and lower pressure inside the vessel until the Earth's atmosphere crushes it. The standard procedure of opening the air intake port on the top of the car when releasing its contents via the valves on the bottom of the car maintains the pressure inside the vessel to the same as the atmosphere around it, ensuring the integrity of the structure. What you are seeing in these two clips is literally the column of air above the tanker-going all the way to space!-pressing down on the tank so hard that it practically instantly deforms it like an aluminum can.

Ok, now I'm only 2 minute into this and the truck hitting the barriers I believe is a test of safety not a disaster. EDITED. On Tuesday 13 July, the Wyoming Department of Transportation (WYDOT) conducted a dramatic test of a runaway truck arrestor system on Teton Pass - and the whole thing was caught on video. The test took place around 10 a.m. on the east side of Teton Pass as a way for officials to ensure that the catch-cable system was working properly. The catch-net cable truck arrestor uses a series of 8 to 10 cable nets that span across a long, narrow ramp adjacent to the highway to stop runaway vehicles. During Tuesday’s test run of the truck arrestor, WYDOT put professional performance driver Arnold Korbmacher behind the wheel of a 58,000-pound sand truck and had him hit speeds of 60 m.p.h. before using the arrestor. The arrestor stopped the truck and the test was considered a success. The truck arrestor was last used (in a non-test capacity) in June 2021, when a pickup driver lost his brakes and utilized the system. The arrestor was heavily damaged in September 2019 when it was used by a truck hauling a load of logs and required extensive repair. I hope this clears things up for some of you. 2:18 This wasn't a disaster. This was a successful test.
I was thinking that might be what was going on... a diversion path for trucks that have lost their brakes ?
of disaster mitigation equipment...
still a disaster for the front end of that dump truck, the front beam axle is bent, the kingpins are now junk, the wheels are bent, the tires are unusable all the steering linkage is trashed and if they're lucky the frame isn't destroyed.
@@RyanAumiller The vehicles they use for these tests were either on their way to or found at the scrapyard precisely so they don't destroy perfectly functional vehicles doing the tests.

Or as the narrator would say, "Yes, and thank God no one was injured by your comment."
@@luca2c they do that deliberately to aggravate people. You tube likes to believe we're all retards.
There is an epidemic on You Tube of this faulty notion music or something which is said to be music must be included on videos. The worst is somebody adding some garbage vocal "music" which has absolutely nothing to do with the subject matter of the video.
As these videos show most people are stupid, plus you don't have to watch it, his video can do what he wants, another stupid comment from you.
People died why the bridge in Baltimore collapsed. So sad to see their last seconds of life … RIP

Me and Joe Biden rode the train across that bridge hundreds of times.

It already feels like one of those episodes from "Funniest Pets and People" if anyone remembers that show
OK like others have said we do not need narration for this. Just show the clips.
Well maybe GOOD narration which this was not.

👍 Better with sound off!
2:45 - that's what an 'implosion' looks like, as opposed to 'explosion'. That's what happened to the Titan submersible that imploded at the bottom of the Atlantic Ocean.
Don’t forget the Hyperloop
Except that the Titan implosion was likely *much* quicker
Kinda, but for different reasons. The sub was crushed but the tank was sucked in because no air could get in, but the end result was the same
Knew that Vid before, it's a implosion Testing of a German Railroad Society on Wagons
Just 400 times slower than the Titan
Great film footage. I really enjoyed watching. Thank you! 😊
Glad you enjoyed it!
A VERY Entertaining Video !!!

The rail tanker was actually a safety test/demonstration.

The scene with the KLM plane around 25:10 is not a disaster at all, it is an airport located on the small island of Saint-Martin in the Caribbean, the beach is just at the end of the runways and one local attractions for tourists is to resist the jet blast caused by planes, even though there are signs and warnings everywhere!
They stopped landing those huge planes a few years ago….
Sometimes fatal if you lose your grip.

"Don't ride on Carnival" is such a true statement. Research the cumulative cruise ship disasters and the majority of them are Carnival. I was on an NCL cruise ship docked right beside these two and witnessed what happened. They said winds and waves. Not true. Look at the sea around the ships.
No one could have predicted this outcome! So unexpected!
Great video, enjoyed chilling to the content :)
That was NOT a charger, a battery maybe.
@sandpiper9288lithium ion batteries can do this
@sandpiper9288 yep and during the common sense days (90s and before) we learned in elementary school that microwaves and metals equals bad......... damn that science stuff
I would guess cigarette lighter. Or maybe it is a gas dryer and it malfunctioned. There is no way a battery blew out the windows like that. It was clearly a gas explosion.
@@davidvanderbyl4015 When lithium ion batteries overheat they produce explosive gases such as hydrogen.
@@davidvanderbyl4015 That little bit Butane has not enough destructive power. Even a 300ml canister couldn't do that. And a lighter would not care about water, they don't have batteries.

His Mother is legally blind, But has no problem seeing her cell phone!!! What a Crock!
Legally blind doesn't mean fully blind. They said she can't distinguish between shades and probably has no depth perception, but cellphones come with accessibility features that can give you massive letters and high contrast screen with limited colours that stand out from each other.
@@kruszer Being legally blind should call for being more careful when your walking, paying attention to where you are going, instead of looking at your cell phone.
1st - chargers don't explode absent of power - batteries do.
2nd - It look more like a gas explosion than a battery one.

In my town, there are two gravestones, side by side, marking two railwaymen who were killed when the boiler of a steam locomotive exploded.
They were the driver and fireman of the train. My dad used to care for the stones, now the local authority has taken over.
The explosion was at the town railway station, so I felt a twinge when I heard "good job no one was around when this boiler exploded"
Knowing it caused deaths takes any enjoyment away. The uploaded may not have known that. Incredible shots otherwise.
