Thanks! I bought it for $500 and wanted to make a low budget exploring/camping truck. I have had hardcore Wranglers in the past for rock crawling. It has been a fun project and has been fun to travel and camp with my kids.
Excellent. Your one hell of a fabricator. I just found your You Tube Channel been watching everyone of your videos on this Jeep WJ. I have a 99 WJ myself.
The davinci of fabrication, I'm sitting here watching all of your WJ videos and wondering what I can do to my 04 Larado. Now if I can just get that tree out back to start sprouting..... thanks for all the uploads and ideas! As a weekend camper I will do the window doors for sure!
4 flute is more of a chaser tap Found to have really good luck with skip tooth taps as well. Remember the coatings on the taps as well. That 4 flute had no coat That 3 flute had that black coating
The rear quarter guards look great, I like how you tied them into the rear tire rack. Also, maybe its personal preference, but I always countersink/debur before tapping the hole and to not roll the bur into the threads.
@@SpiralDesignWorks That is truelly a shame, i would love to have them on my WJ. Even your badges looks so good i really believe you would have sold them easy. Well well hoping for a vid atleast then
Do you have a video where you cover how you figured out or marked the cut line for where the tube meets the existing bumper? I just got myself a tube bender and my first project is adding a prerunner bar to my xj bumper, and I know that will be a compound angle cut since I want it to stick out from the bumper like yours and not be vertical 90*
I sometimes use a pipe marking tool like this amzn.to/3ctMu2D or just hold it up at the angle you want, mark it long and cut it. leave room to cut it back more to make it perfect. You can always take more off...adding it back it a bit harder. Good luck with your project.

Outstanding work! Liked it so much had to go through your channel and watch the rest of that bumper build. Quick question for you, what pipe sander were you using to clean off the mill scale off the tubing?
Great videos! I have a question, I want to swap the 4.7 to 5.3 vortec. Whats your opinion on that, & where would be a good place to get the wiring harness?
Love the front bumper, it’s super sexy. I got a summer project coming up for my WJ. Was looking into getting that same bumper, but it’s been out of stock forever. Do you have any expectations to bring it back?
Unfortunately I spent 90% of my time designing things for Navy contractors. So my play time for cool stuff is very limited. We may take in some custom work next fall after I get about 80 of my ADHD projects finished.
Correct that is a transfer punch did I say something different? From Wikipedia: A D-ring is an item of hardware, usually a tie-down metal ring shaped like the letter D used primarily as a lashing point. What do you call them?

You would...ha. You are the second person to use the word "Ropey" to describe the music. I have never heard that word used like that before. I will have to watch the video to see which one you are talking about to be sure to use it again.
I normally hate those WJ, however your vision and skills into enhancing this thing are amazing to the
point of making me love it

Wow, thanks!
Excellent work. I like how you tapped the bumper to attach the bar.
I should have chamfered the hole before tapping. I was slacking.
Great work of art. I really enjoy the way this looks. Thank you for sharing with us!
Thank you!
Sick bumper man like the whole jeep actually people dont really tend to build this generation of wj either which makes it more unique
Some day my wj will look this nice
one part at a time. Thanks for watching.
Super SUPER clean work man. WJ's badass.
Thank you.

This is super rad. I need to learn how to tig and pick up some fab tools. Subscribed!

Really like the bumper. Sadly way to expensive to get winch mounts etc here.
The rear quarter guards look great, I like how you tied them into the rear tire rack.

Thanks Ted. Yes countersinking the hole first would be correct order.
Looks so sweet! Still waiting for that update with the Jeep badges :D
I might do a video of it but we decided against making them for sale due to copyright issues.

Thanks. But in another business I have we got like 6 cease and desist letters and big companies are not to fun to deal with.
Wow wow wow!!!! Put me down on your list for purchase. I want on like yesterday brother!!! Oh yea put me down for a rear axle skid plate too!!!
Good work tho

Chamfer the hole before your tap
And tapping oil is your friend
I think I did both of those, I usually do but who knows. Thanks for watching.

Hello. How to get a complete drawing? Write thank you.
Man those headlights are awesome any links to them ?. If they're for the Wk2, how did you get them to fit ?
2011-13 Grand. Lots of grill, fender mods and custom bumper. I talk about it in the front bumper video and the fender videos.
Graet Job Man So Graet I Like Jeep /Baghdad Afternon Jan 10😎 🚙👏👍❤️Jeep
Then from there a tdi swap would be very cool
That would be cool
How much the front bumper?
raining much?
А можете подсказать модель для land cruiser 105???
Alguna forma de comprar los planos de fabricación del bumper del jeep wj ya que soy de chile
Sorry I am not offering drawings at this time.
Great videos! I have a question, I want to swap the 4.7 to 5.3 vortec. Whats your opinion on that, & where would be a good place to get the wiring harness?
There are tons of options for the LS motor. Motorcraft, Holley, Jegs all have stand alone harnesses. good luck.
What size tube did you use for the main bar?
1.5" x .120" wall DOM. Same as the rear tire carrier and tree bars.
Love the front bumper, it’s super sexy. I got a summer project coming up for my WJ. Was looking into getting that same bumper, but it’s been out of stock forever. Do you have any expectations to bring it back?
hoping to have updated version back in the next few months.
I do powder coating. If anyone needs anything powder coated
How much does the bumper weigh?
no idea. It is all 1/4" thick so probably a bit more than the plastic bumper cover it replaced.
Sweet ass bumper
Thanks! check out the build here-ua-cam.com/video/CUrRb9ZuObw/v-deo.html
why o why didn't you powdercoat the shackles! :-) another great vid!
yes they need them bad. maybe this weekend I'll get to it.
Bruh you are a fucking beast!!!!!! I love your work do you do custom work for any jeep?
Unfortunately I spent 90% of my time designing things for Navy contractors. So my play time for cool stuff is very limited. We may take in some custom work next fall after I get about 80 of my ADHD projects finished.
Where you buy your lights?
taillights : amzn.to/2uuwNGB
headlights (2011-13 grand cherokee) will not fit your WJ without mods :amzn.to/36wxcGl
What i need to do for fit?
Classroom workshop and equipment.
I've been collecting my tools for 25 years now. Even the Hi-lift jack on my Wj was the first piece of recovery equipment I bought when I was like 17.
Silence commie
how did u do the emblems on the truck
We made them out of acrylic and vinyl stickers with double sided tape.
@@SpiralDesignWorks do you guys have a video on how to do that
When are you going to start selling this bumper??
I’d rather not buy the TrailReady one
I made a run of them last fall and will do another batch in the next few months. You can check it out at www.echelondesignworks.com
Do you make those bumpers for sale? How much would one cost. I have a 04 grand cherokee
Hopefully I will have a DIY kit available again soon. We sold out of the first run. www.echelondesignworks.com
Whats the name of the song from 6 minutes to 7:20 secs
I will have to go dig. All the music is from copyright free music supplied by UA-cam.

amzn.to/2FSswPt but with lots of mods to fenders, bumper, mounts etc. Check my bumper and fender videos.

Why don’t people treat the threaded holes before fixing components on. First bit of water and you’re gonna get rust issues,!!
I agree. I think in the video you can see me applying sealant to the holes and the bolts to seal them up.
That is a transfer punch and those are shackles not D rings
Correct that is a transfer punch did I say something different? From Wikipedia: A D-ring is an item of hardware, usually a tie-down metal ring shaped like the letter D used primarily as a lashing point. What do you call them?
From the seller themselves describing them as D-rings. amzn.to/2FwHPNI
