I also bought a 2000 Jeep Grand Cherokee with about 125k miles , add about 2000 dollars to fix it up, now its running but it's nothing like this Jeep, mine is still a complete stock one, and still has some issues, steering steer got a lot of play, i wish i can make mine like the one in this video, i will be very happy!
On your next oil change pick up some BG EPR from Napa. Get the engine to temp, dump it on the oil, rev the engine to 12 to 1500 for about 15 ish min. Shut it down, let it cool for a little bit. Drain your oil when you do this it'll be black as tar and you'll hear the engine get quieter and smooth out. Do this even if you think it sounds good! I've done it to all my vehicle's and it's great stuff! What it's doing is cleaning all the nasty carbon build up on the rings and oil passages. You'll notice an increase in power as well. Do it! You won't regret it.
By far the nicest WJ build that I know of. I am currently working my way through a WJ build thread on passport. You may want to check it out. The guy does a nice dual battery and air tank setup in the spare tire area, and dual compressors where the stock unit sits. You really have me chomping at the bit to pick one up haha
I currently use my spare well for spare parts, alternator, starter, a couple suspension joints and tools. I might does something there later when I do the upper cabinets.
Finishing up an IRO triangulated long arm. My suggestions: *Method 701 wheels. Because breaking a bead in the middle if nowhere is a show stopper! *Diode Dynamics 30" light bar. Change out the center lense for the fog/wide lense. Nice compat light that throws a spot that you won't believe!
Yes some custom wheels would be sweet. I am investing all my extra cash into securities right now. maybe this summer. Any wheel companies out there want to throw some wheels over here?
I did a battery relocation on mine from the engine comp. to the spare tire well. Fits 2 optma yellow tops and a 2000w inverter. Also put a shore power hookup on the quarter panel to run all my stuff when I'm camping.

Compromised. It could use a little more but you have to compromise between angle and driveshaft vibes. Would be nice to rotate the knuckles but I have been planning to swap in a Dana 44 so I am hoping it is temporary.
@@SpiralDesignWorks That makes sense, I was wondering how you could run such a high lift without dropping the transfer case. 1" spacers which was a pain as i had to cut down the studs. I would do 1.5 to save the hassle. When I finally upgrade to custom I will have to swap out the studs probably.

The biggest I will go with this one is 37"s. I want to keep it easy and comfortable to travel long distances. I have a another rust free one I have been planning LS motor, tons, and 40's, full cage etc. But no time.
I’ll never buy a winch off amazon again... spent $780 on one and each time I used it 4 motors later i sold it... but ever time I used it the motor to the winch motor didn’t hold up always burnt up... sucks but yeah idk where to get a cheap winch really... so use urs more and let us all know how well it handles it...
That sucks you were having trouble. Sounds like it was taking a big load to burn up 4 motors.
Some interesting work there. What's the running total so far?
I have less than $5k into it.
Whatcha thing of the 243D t-case? In an 07 dodge Dakota
I am not familiar with that one in particular. They are all similar some have clutches some are direct chain drive.
What’s it mean when it says synchro on the plate?
I’m late but how long have you been working on it ? I’ve been working on mine for almost 2 years now
Most of the work happened in about a year span. I have been dealing with some health issues so not much has happened in the last year. Just been camping a few times. Thanks for watching.
(Budget build )..... 😂 good one.
2001 wj owner here myself. Down in Naples. I’ll have to stop by your shop and shoot the shit. 👍😎
All my buddies have $80-100k wrapped up in their Gladiators and Wranglers so compared to that budget.
@@SpiralDesignWorks I know right lol.. keep up the great work. Love your content. Godspeed
Hello Where can i get those Orange Black Logos?
I custom made mine. Maybe ebay?
Where did you get the tent mounting brackets? I would love to get a set for my WJ and get rid of my roof rails!
We removed the factory rails and made these custom. I will be replacing them soon with a basket rack.
@@SpiralDesignWorks you selling the old mounts 😅
mad skills job well done
Thank you!
What headlights are those???
2011-13 Grand Cherokee aftermarket lights.
What did you do to deal with the E-brake line getting stretched during flex?
Magnums
What did you do to over come the pinion angle in the front
Compromised. It could use a little more but you have to compromise between angle and driveshaft vibes. Would be nice to rotate the knuckles but I have been planning to swap in a Dana 44 so I am hoping it is temporary.
So pretty much an upper control arm adjustment. Unless you did some sort of transfer case drop
@@SpiralDesignWorks That makes sense, I was wondering how you could run such a high lift without dropping the transfer case. D44 front axle w/Warn hubs is also a nice upgrade.....most 4 wheelers would have blown up the stock D30 front axle running 31s...you clearly know the benefit of a gentle touch with the right foot. Any lockers/LSDs in either diff??
Super bitchin WJ!! Best by far that I've ever seen. Especially the wheel wells!!
Thank you. Lots of time and effort but I love the factory look with 35's
What size spacers if you used any?
1" spacers which was a pain as i had to cut down the studs. I would do 1.5 to save the hassle. When I finally upgrade to custom I will have to swap out the studs probably.
where did you get the in dash screen, you said $300.00
This one is similar amzn.to/3hsVUy0
Hey, got a question... I have a two inch lift kit in my 01 Jeep Grand Cherokee, do I have to the front and rear drive shaft ?
If you have the rezeppa front shaft (uses CV joints like a front wheel drive car axle) then you might want to swap it out with a factory shaft from a junk yard that has u joints.
Thank you I appreciate it 👍
Wooowww.... nice car......😍
If i want to build my like this Jeep, how much it would cost me?
At least $5k if you do all the install yourself with off the shelf parts.
Бюджет проекта общий??
Жаль, таких толковых обзоров на русском ютубе нет.
needs a back bumper
For sure. Hoping to find time over the holidays to build it.
@@SpiralDesignWorks said that before watching the whole video
Best wj I've ever seen good job!
i like that hehe grand cherokee
$500? I'll give you 6 rite now lol
I'm hoping this build raises the value of my stock wj lmao jk
Doubt it, I don't even think it hardly did for mine. The black sheep of the Jeep world.
Is that farts at the beginning of your music?
I hope so
See what happens when you find a $500 4x4.
Just add TLC. Time labor and cash right?
Real nice Jeep bud
Thank you!
