Nice review!
Olight does it again! What a neat flashlight. I personally don't love a rectangle form factor, never use pocket clips and lacks a lanyard hole so this is an ungainly, unwieldy design for my uses. Seems very competitive against the rest of the class like the Nitecore EDC27 and especially the Surefire Stiletto.
But for the type of people that like this sort of thing, this is the sort of thing those people like.
Please review it against the Streamlight Wedge and make a recommendation. Thanks!
I really wish this light would feature knurling. It needs it on the sides and on the battery cover, under the clip. It falls out of a shirt pocket the moment I lean over because there is no friction to grip onto.
I’d like a red light emitter instead of a laser too. Just seems like it would be more useful for my day to day. Perhaps Olight will consider a variant model.
Some grip tape might help your issue
Just an update, I did try the new Arkfeld UV. I wanted to add that I am impressed with the improvements addressing grip and clip retention. While I do still feel there is room for improvement (more locations & more aggressive knurling), the changes are so good that I would carry this with confidence now. Kudos to Olight on that aspect of the redesign.
Glad to see thry are listening. Thanks for the comment
Oh the battery is user serviceable but it's a pain in the ass.
Well not easy like removing a screw or unscrewing a body section. Glue removal doesn't count
It's as serviceable as the battery in a cell phone or the gas tank in a car
What is a legitimate purpose for a laser please?
