The date is 3/4/22 ordered this harness from this guy. Received it in 3 days, quality product. I had some troubles with my truck having a blown fuse, the guy spent the better part of the day on the phone getting my issue sorted out. Harness is about as easy to install as you could want. His customer service is above and beyond. This whole transaction reminded me of how the world was 30 years ago. If you plan on doing the swap this harness is hands down worth its weight in gold. Thank you Mr Gamboa and god bless👍🏻

Well, I finally got the center console and jump seat swap finished. I will add a couple of comments or tips for anyone that is doing this. Before you set the center console in the truck, you need to look at some plastic pieces that hide a support for the dash that is just to the right of the gas pedal. If you pause Mr. Gamboa's video at 5:57 you will see the bare support to the right of the gas pedal. There are two pieces of black plastic that hide that support that must be removed or the side skirt on the driver's side will never fit into place. ] Another tip is that the side skirts can only be installed after the console is bolted in place but BEFORE you snap the top of the console with all of the electronics into place. There are slots in the side skirts that accept a plastic blade that aligns the top to lock the skirts in place. If you don't know about these items, you will take the new console in and out several times because things just won't fit correctly. I hope that this helps someone.

Bottom line - I wish I were more flexible haha. All the best!
Phil - I am finally doing this swap in my 2015 Silverado with your plug and play harness and all of the extra brown/black, black/gray, and green/black cables. Looking at the HMI box tucked up under the dash, every port is being used. Is that correct? If I reuse the glove box USB that is going to the green port, what happens to the cables that are currently plugged into the other HMI ports? I'm not sure that I need the green/black cable since I already have one in use for my glove box USB. Do the original cables to the HMI just get unplugged and remain "dead" once I use all of the new cables? I would like to see a screen shot of the HMI box with everything plugged in and unplugged dangling cables before you put the glove box back. It would also have been helpful to have 30 seconds to minute of video to show you actually removing that HMI box. I really don't see how it can possibly come out.
Ellen - The video showing the cables used is outdated. There is an updated diagram, that when followed, will lose the single upper glove port. This is how GM does it on trucks with a factory console. The cables plugged into the green port and black ports of the HMI get unplugged and just left unplugged. You'll use a new Green/Grey USB Cable and a g Black/Brown USB cable. The grey and brown ends will go to the front of the console. Hope this helps.

I have partnered with a GM Parts Supplier to get brand new, 2018 consoles in black or cocoa dune, with the latest wireless charging lids. The black consoles have been on backorder though since August last year. I have a wait list of about 40 people. For more info, you can reach me at HarnessDr.com - use the "Contact us" option. Thanks!
bikepro120 - The jump seat itself doesn’t have the 110VAC. This is an option that is located under the front of the dash (ash tray location). If you truck doesn’t have 110VAC now, you won’t be able to feed that into the 110VAC on the full center console.
Not at all. If you have Carplay/Android Auto, you want to ensure you have the correct USB Hubs on the console (2016+ USB Ports) and have the correct USB Cables in order to retain Carplay/Android Auto.
I have a 17 duramax, figure it would fit but wanted to ask before I purchased. Also how are you watching a movie? Did you put a different console in there
Great video!!!! Where can you get the center console? I saw one site that sold them for $1700.00 and were out of stock. What have y’all paid for them? Als have y’all bought the LTZ seats ?
Phil your harness will be very helpful loved it ! But have one little issue I would like to know how to get the 120 plug to work if the truck don’t have that already thanks!! And if you make a harness to add that would be nice !!
This is wild, I was just hanging out with my buddy who has the GMC Sierra loaded and I was thing wow that a nice console he has in his GMC. So I said let me see if its possible to up grade my 2018 Silverado and bam there is was on your page. My question is out side of your adapter what other items might I need to buy? The install looks pretty straight forward.
Loved the video. I suppose I will be the only one on here with this crazy question - I am looking at trading in a '14 Silverado LT on a '17 LTZ that has the 6.2. I've always wanted that bigger motor! Well.....and this is the crazy part.....I like the split bench b/c my German Shepherd can ride up front with me. That nicer console just wouldn't allow it. So, I am thinking of going the OTHER direction - taking out the nice console in favor of the jump seat one. So, my question is this: on factory equipped console trucks, is there carpet under there? Will the wiring harness for the larger console just plug-n-play for the smaller one? I know you need to buy your harness for this one, but what about going the other direction? I appreciate any help. Oh, and if anyone has a jump-seat console they are no longer using, I would be interested in buying it.
You are not alone. There are several that I have come across that want to go in the opposite direction. If you are local to Dallas, I could certainly help you out here. Going backwards is a little bit more of a challenge. Carpet - If you have the sub, you will have a hole in the carpet. You'll want to remove the console and take a peak. Second, the center console connection points are all up front under the IP Panel buttons. With that removed, you won't have a way to connect the jump seat in order to retain the USB Hub and 12V connections inside the compartment. There are many that are going from a jump seat to a center console.
Hmmm. Interesting. Well, I honestly can't remember if I have the sub or not, so I will definitely be checking that first thing in the morning. I was thinking of going to some local stereo shop, b/c I know that they often times will fabricate panels and so forth. I was thinking the where the USB's and outlets are up front on the current console, they could fabricate something and maybe wrap it on similar leather and I could still at least have those? I'm not local to Dallas....anymore. I was born in Plano....a long time ago. My mom said that when we left there was literally only one stop light. I have heard it is huge now. BTW, do you have any consoles from people that want to sell (reasonably)?
Depending on where you are geographically (shipping vs pick up in person), I'm willing to work a deal with you on consoles. I currently have the gray jump seat console but I'm looking for a black/silver trim full floor console. hurckybird@bellsouth.net
Hey, Mr. Gamboa. I'm about to do this swap too and only had one question that's not conversion related.. Did you have that movie playing through the stock radio!? If so, that's awesome as hell! My duramax has the stock 8"touchscreen in it and it would be totally killer to load movies onto via a flash drive for long hauls!
Reach out to www.WhiteAutoandMedia.com for that. Requires your HMI to be unlocked on 16+ trucks. 14/15 trucks have that capability but only works in park. They can also unlock your HMI to allow restrictions in motion to be bypassed.
@Phil Gamboa thank you, so much! I just bought a 15 and will be doing your console swap with your harness on my birthday in June. I'll reach out to them for the HMI work. Great video, sir!
My truck plays videos from a USB Flash Drive. I added a Video in Motion module that I picked up from eBay for about $90. This allows me to watch movies while in motion.
Phil, I have a couple questions about how my conversion went. I have an ‘18 Silverado custom, and when I pulled the glovebox out, I found no hmi. I installed everything as is with your harness, which worked great, and have power to my 12v outlets and the led inside the console, but wireless charging doesn’t work and the usb hubs are currently offline. I was unaware of my truck not having an hmi but I guess a few models didn’t. Is there a workaround for the usb hubs? I gutted my jump seat harness for the data cable, can I just plug that into the front usb hub and use a black to brown to the console? Nothing but great things from me for your harness and install video! Thank you for making this conversion possible
@@philgamboa2906 will do. I’ll be home in a couple hours and will shoot you an email. I found one of your old posts on a forum about using a generic usb cable. I am determined to have my console hub be the primary data hub for a wireless CarPlay adapter, and I think I found a solution, but I’d like to run that by you too. It involves a usb hub from a 2018 Tahoe, but it’s identical to the console usb hub, without the audio jack. It does have an output however, and the female connectors at the hub look identical
I have a 2017 high country. I want to go from a center console to a jump seat. I’m a ham radio operator and CB. I would prefer mounting the radio bracket right to the center hump so I don’t have to chop up my console. This video helped me figure out a few things if I decide to keep the console and mount my radios in it. I appreciate any help or suggestions.
Looks like an amazing product! I'm highly considering buying it for my 2016 Silverado but I am wondering about the gap on the sides of the console between the console and dash. Is there any way it can be fitted to the truck so it doesn't have that gap? It can be seen at 8:42
@@unfadingbus - Yes, you can email me directly at sales@HarnessDR.com That gap goes away once you bolt the console in. The large 15mm bolts have some play in it. You have to lift the console to close that gap. I should have mentioned that in the video. Thanks for pointing out!

I bought the console as a take off for $600. Check out my other videos and subscribe if you haven't yet. There are several mods I've done solely because I was told "it couldn't be done". :)
Awesome video brotha! Very descriptive! Kind of irrelevant question, I have a 2016 that came from factory with wireless charging lid, but I have a iPhone 8, would upgrading chargers fit in factory spot or is it different? Thanks!
Absolutely! I have upgraded the wireless charging module and mine works for iPhone 8 and X. The part # is 13521066. They are found on the 2018 SUVs. GM changed the connector to the module, so your existing connector will not fit. I make pigtails for this that I started offering on the GM-Trucks site. Check this thread out. Phil Gamboa so about 1k total .. damn that’s crazy I’m gonna try looking for one at my local flea market, They always have used oem parts ... kinda iffy tho .. I’m sure they don’t get those stuff off junk cars
So these part numbers are for the exact console you have? I am looking at the same color for mine
lane Henrichsen - I’ve got special arrangements setup with a GM Supplier. If you are looking for a brand new console, I can get them drop shipped for $750. Email me at gamboaphil@gmail.com for more info.
Dude helped me out so much with my project, thanks.
How difficult would it be to go from center console to jump seat? Is it even possible? I prefer jump seat.
Fabricio Larios - It’s possible. I made a “reverse” harness for a few customers. Email me at gamboaphil@gmail.com for more info.
My buddy wants to switch me for my jump seat, can u send me a reverse wire also?
@@danielpetrus5267 I have made a reverse harness before.. Email me at gamboaphil@gmail.com for more info.
Eric Diekmann I don’t need a jump seat.
you have the radio control under the console and the carpet has a hole for it so if you put in the seat that wont cover it
I love the 3 cup holders too much to make the switch.
I added another set of removable cup holders in mine and have 4 holders ;)
around 11:25 you talk about black cable to brown and and black to grey... where can I buy these?
Very nice video, great detail and very helpful. Thank you Sir!

How do I order your harness?
Scott, I hope you were able to find me on the link above? Sorry for the delayed response.
Phil Gamboa the link shows the harness but nothing to click to order.
I’m also looking to buy the harness but it doesn’t show a link on how to buy or check out , can you please help
Phil Gamboa no you don't have anywhere to purchase it.
Same last name 😊 that deserves a new subscriber 😊
Hey Phil im looking to make this exact upgrade myself. Where did you find a center console in such good condition?? I’ve looked everywhere. Lmk ill for sure use your harness
any luck? i cannot find this console for the life of me, i found a shit used one on ebay for 1200$ 💀.. i want to do this upgrade w the harnesses but i CANNOT find the center console
@@REDDELECTRIC ya it’s pretty much impossible i think you’d have better luck on Facebook market place or something like that and hope someone not too far is scarpping a sierra in decent condition for part.

Hey Phil, Do you think you will ever make a video doing the Center Console Upgrade for your new truck? Your videos are very helpful!
Great content! Btw where do I get the black to brown cable and what do you mean when u say u need to add usb cables
Thanks for sharing! Where did you order the Center consul from?
My GM Parts Supplier. Black consoles are on extreme backorder right now. Been on backorder since August last year. I do have a wait list of about 20 people. If you'd like to get on that list, please visit my site - HarnessDR.com and use the "Contact Us" option.
@@philgamboa2906 Thank you, good sir! I will do so!
Where did you purchase the console? Did it come with the arm rest assembly?
I have partnered with a GM Parts Supplier to get brand new, 2018 consoles in black or cocoa dune, with the latest wireless charging lids. The black consoles have been on backorder though since August last year. I have a wait list of about 40 people. For more info, you can reach me at HarnessDr.com - use the "Contact us" option. Thanks!
Beautiful video, but what the part number on the console or what type of truck did you get it from year and model please
Great video! However don’t all of the jump seats not come with a 110 volt correct?
bikepro120 - The jump seat itself doesn’t have the 110VAC. This is an option that is located under the front of the dash (ash tray location). If you truck doesn’t have 110VAC now, you won’t be able to feed that into the 110VAC on the full center console.
Never mind on the harness/forum question, I found your website.
Does it matter whether the radio is Android enabled
Not at all. If you have Carplay/Android Auto, you want to ensure you have the correct USB Hubs on the console (2016+ USB Ports) and have the correct USB Cables in order to retain Carplay/Android Auto.
Thank you Mr. Gamboa for your quick responses. I will take out the glove boxes and see what's there.
Where can I buy a center console?
Hi Phil, nice kit👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻.. does it fit in a 2014 Tahoe LT as well?
Rahul B - The Console itself will not fit SUVs.
Phil Gamboa, Thanks .. hope to get similar kit for my Tahoe
My truck has the floor shift for the transfer case 4x4. They wouldnt happen to make one of these that will work with that would they
Travis Collins - Not that I’ve seen. But with minor trimming of the console, you can make it happen. I’ve done it to several floor shift 4x4 trucks.
What is the better year of center console to get and great video
2018.
Mr Gamboa, do you still have these parts? 😢
I cant find these used anywhere on local market places... is there a website I can order one off of or buy new at a reasonable price?
Devin Reimers - I am able to source these new from a GM Parts Supplier that I’ve partnered with. Please me at sales@HarnessDR.com for more info.
Phil this is an awesome video! Does the same apply to Tahoes?
Awesome vid. What center console did you use?
2014 - 2018 Console.
Phil your harness will be very helpful loved it ! But have one little issue I would like to know how to get the 120 plug to work if the truck don’t have that already thanks!! And if you make a harness to add that would be nice !!

Do you know where to get a full middle console for 2017 silverado
See them all over FB marketplace, CL, offerup, LKQ Online, Car-Part.. etc.
Great products, great service. You will not regret.
You can reach me at HarnessDR.com and can go over all the requirements for the upgrade.
Phil Gamboa wait a second, do you live in the DFW area Phil?
Hey, Mr.

@@joser5193 - Haven't anything on the SUV Platform, but done many on the Truck platform.
Shoot me a message from the site. HarnessDR.com - I see generic usb cables to correct the USB feed issue.
Any videos on swapping jump seat to center console on 07 Yukon?
No sir. All my work is for 2014-2018 trucks.
Is this a similar process to go from a center console to a jump seat? Or do you have a video for that?

Looks like an amazing product! I'm highly considering buying it for my 2016 Silverado but I am wondering about the gap on the sides of the console between the console and dash. Is there any way it can be fitted to the truck so it doesn't have that gap? It can be seen at 8:42
Also, is there any way to buy this without creating an account and messaging you on that forum?
@@unfadingbus - Yes, you can email me directly at sales@HarnessDR.com
That gap goes away once you bolt the console in. The large 15mm bolts have some play in it. You have to lift the console to close that gap. I should have mentioned that in the video. Thanks for pointing out!
Also, there is a side panel cover that goes in driver and passenger sides that is not shown in the video. Sorry for the confusion.
