Just did this mod on my 2018 and the center console squeaks so bad its driving me insane. About to have to install some foam between the console and dash

Interesting. Mine has not squeaked at all. Did yours come with the bracket for under the dash?

@@Kamdoesstuff no didnt get the bracket. The junkyard pulled it with the bottom brackets, all the rubber trims, and all the 12v socket caps. So the condition was too nice and too complete to complain much, but the bracket is harder to find by itself

@@Kamdoesstuff some high density foam between the plastic should hold me over until i can find the front bracket in another pull-your-own parts yard. The console is as perfect condition as i could ever hope for so i consider it a big win

In the 2017 Silverado, you have to be plugged in to make the apple carplay work. I bought a Bluetooth adapter that allows it to be wireless.
