I once was part of a church where the self appointed Pastor said; "You will never understand the Bible like I do". The church closed down shortly after that.
What I love about my Pastors? They frequently remind us, "Check what I tell you and talk to me if we need to explain or sort it out. Check what anyone tells you against scripture."
When the LDS missionaries visited my house. I tried to find out their basis for belief in God, knowing that if they ever left LDS, that without a solid basis in theology and philosophy, they would become atheists or agnostics.
I was raised a Mormon and when I left the church at 22 I was borderline atheist/ agnostic at best. Christ opened my eyes 2 years ago at the age of 39 praise God! Jesus is the way the truth and the life!

Which body of Christ did he join? While he prayed the prayer, the RC doesn't do this to invite salvation. They teach joining their church and adhering to their dogma. They do teach Jesus Christ died and shed his blood to atone for man's sins. However, they don't teach you can know if you are saved. For a spirit born again believer, he prayed the prayer. Next, he will be told to join the RC church and will be told to follow the pope and adhere to their dogma.

When this young man partakes of scripture he will understand who Jesus is and the expectation of discipleship. Don’t confused worldly religions with the body of Christ. They are not the same. Secondly, accepting Christ is a heart event, not specific wording of a prayer. We speak to our Savior from our heart. Building on that communication. It is always important to read scripture to delineate between GODs will and religion. Relationship with Christ is not, nor never will be a religion. Religion is what’s practiced by false religions followers, leaving out Christ for salvation and putting in unnecessary expectations and efforts and stumbling blocks that is not required. Read the book of Acts to see what that look like for someone to place on you untrue and unnecessary expectations.

Fairly recently I met 2 female Mormon missionaries that I inquired about their faith. They gave me the usual Mormon dissertation. I then asked whether they had ever read the Holy Bible, and they answered NO! If your Mormon bible is about the appearance of Jesus Christ in the New World, I asked then why has your "church" not read about his life, his mission his crucifixion and his resurrection? They were stupefied and silent. They were confused.
If Joseph Smith Jr did refer to himself as a second Mohammed he did not know much about Muslims. Joseph Smith was not a war lord he went west because of persecution. He was sealed to women and men for their salvation. That doesn't mean he had intimate relations with them. Joseph Smith Jr found it very difficult to obey the commandment to marry other women.

Scriptures don't say to join a church. The meaning of church has changed. Scriptures say to be born again and follow Jesus Christ. A church is supposed to be a body of believers that you become apart of.
Matthew 18:15-20, verse 17 says other wise. Remember, the Church came first. The Bible second. No other denomination can claim that Jesus started their church. The Bible was canon in the 4th century and has been the same since.

Heavenly father did not just choose anyone. Mary carried a holy child and raised him. Mary is a special person although not worshiped. Sam is a Catholic so has a reverence for her.

I love Sam and I know he’s a true believer. He’s doing wonderful work pulling people out of false religions, but he’s apart of one. The Roman Catholic Church is the synagogue of Satan. They pronounced anathema on the true gospel of Jesus Christ, which is faith in Christ ALONE brings salvation. I hate to see others brought out of one false religion for another.
I’m referring to the organization that is the Roman Catholic Church. I do not mean to say that God by His Grace cannot save individuals who are members of that organization. One point is the pregnancy of Anna, Mary's mother. They claim "immaculate conception". In other words, Mary was conceived divinely without a man even though she had 2 parents. I have read two translations of the same book that writes about her conception. One is older and the more recent has been revised. Mine has an older date that states Mary was conceived in their old age and was a miracle, like Sarah and Elizabeth had their conceptions in their old age when they couldn't have kids anymore. After the angel visited them, they believed God and then after that she became pregnant. In my version, they both went to the temple to thank God for the blessing from the angels and went home. She conceived after that by natural means between a husband and wife. They dedicated their firstborn to God, because of the miracle. The recent translations revised the timing of when Anna conceived and how she conceived. The RC teaches that Anna was already pregnant by the time her husband returned home to hear she was already pregnant. That it was a divine conception and both went to the temple to thank God for her already being pregnant. This is the "immaculate conception". One version is a miracle. The other opens the door to goddess theology. That Mary had to be born perfect for God to use her. I still lean to my older translation, that Mary was conceived the natural way as a miracle in her parent's old age, filled with the Holy Spirit while in her mothers womb and raised in the temple dedicated to God to live a virtuous life away from any bad influence as a child until the moment she would become a woman, the time of uncleanness, and she would be arranged to stay with Joseph, who happened to be a much older cousin who was widowed with kids.
The Trinity is not taught by Paul. The concept of the Trinity is the result of men trying to make sense of what Paul and others in the Bible taught about Jesus, God the Father, and the Holy Spirit. Their hypothesis may be correct. But, it also may not be correct. When Jesus comes again that should clear a lot of the confusion. Are you starting to get it?

I was raised in a family that practiced the roman catholic faith. I went to a private catholic church through 4th grade. I had several questions about the faith. I then met Nazarenes through my girlfriend whom I married at 19yo. Then I left the catholic church and followed the protestant Bible. After years of attending church and studying the Bible, and using my Spiritual Gifts for the expansion of the kingdom, I found my 5th grade catechism. I placed paper clips on each page of the catechism where the teachings were against the Bible. Almost every page has a paper clip. My Lord and Savior Jesus Christ through His Holy Spirit, has matured my faith and walk. Baptism does not save your soul. It is an outward sign to the world that you were buried with Christ and was born again as God's child, follower of Jesus, and sealed with the Holy Spirit. Sam, I have watched your videos and was thrilled with Muslims and other faiths, seeing the way, the truth, and the life through faith in Jesus Christ and His grace of salvation. He's Catholic because of the 1.) Filioque, 2.) his Baptism is accepted and valid, and 3.) many miracles in his life were through Catholics since he was very young. I'm wondering what Church you now go to? I'm sorta wary of non-denominational churches because they're not upfront that they're Baptists, Calvinists, or Pentecostals (sometimes you can only know about their beliefs based on their About Us on their website). When I talk with friends who are in a non-denominational church I have to ask several questions: Do you guys believe in speaking of tongues? Do you do infant baptism? Do you have a female pastor? What are your view about LGBT? It's just so I can understand if they have a more fundamentalist, liberal, or traditional protestant view when it comes to theology. I'm not dissing them but it is sometimes very difficult because I'd be talking about my faith and they'd get triggered by something I said and we end up in long-winded discussions all because I don't know where they stand on different things.
I don’t think Sam was right about Mary being Holy. Only God is Holy. This is another reason why Catholics worship Mary. The bible only says she’s faithful and obedient. I truly hope this poor fellow finds the truth.
Mary is Holy. She carried the word in New Testament just like the ark of the Old Testament that carried the word of God. The ark of the Old Testament was so holy that I killed those who are unholy that touched it. The Ark of the old Covenant caused the death of Uzzah in the Old Testament. The incident is described in 2 Samuel 6:6-7. As King David was transporting the Ark to Jerusalem, Uzzah touched it to steady it when the oxen stumbled, and God struck him down for his irreverence. Uzzah's act of touching the Ark, which was forbidden, led to his immediate death. Do you think God can come into something unholy? No Even Moses took his sandal off since approaching holy burning bush where god was. in Exodus 3:5, when Moses approached the burning bush on Mount Horeb, God called out to him and instructed him to take off his sandals because he was standing on holy ground. Luke 1:35 tells us the Holy Spirit came “upon” (different Greek word) Mary and overshadowed her, just as He did for all these Old Testament Saints when He empowered them. There is a difference. The Holy Spirit empowered the virgin birth of Christ in Mary the same way the Holy Spirit empowered Sampson or David etc. Not entering “in” them the same way we experience the new birth, but coming “upon” them for a time being. In the new birth, yes, God lives “in” us by His Holy Spirit only because Jesus has justified us and made us holy and blameless before God. But so therefore, Mary did not have to be “holy” to give birth to Jesus, the Son of God who added humanity to His deity. Mary was just as much a sinner as us, and needed the blood of Christ to make her holy before God. Only Christ died on the cross for my sin and yours, only He mediates, and He and the Holy Spirit intercede: “There is only one God, and there is one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus” (1 Timothy 2:5) “He is able to save to the uttermost those who draw near to God through him, since he always lives to make intercession for them.” (Hebrews 7:25) “The Spirit helps us in our weakness. For we do not know what to pray for as we ought, but the Spirit himself intercedes for us with groanings too deep for words.” (Romans 8:26)
Nothing has been done about what the pope said. It is on the RC website as accepted dogma now. It was added and not removed. Is Sam going to privately tell this guy to follow the pope as part of the RC dogma? He would be used to it since he once followed Joseph Smith. The pope said all religions lead to God. What will be done about this? So far nothing has been done.

Mormonism has been spreading for a while. I've even seen some Mormons in countrys like Romania preaching their false Bible, in a Ortodox Christian country..... Just crazy to me.

Amen" and immerses the person. How then is that a different God? That's the same thing 😂

And many Christians have different views on who Jesus was and the theological nature of God (Some people affirm God is Triune, others reject this and only consider The Father divine) The theology of God is important because we want to be addressing the real God and not the one we came up with, but this is a problem since the majority of Christian groups decifer the Bible themselves which results with many differening sects all believing slightly different theologies. To understand what the Bible is saying it's not enough to simply read it. You cannot be sure especially if you come across a person who says his understanding of it is just as divinely inspired as yours is yet he came to ENTIRELY different conclusions than you. We need to appeal to something other than the text and ourselves to settle such a dispute and that's when earyl Christian tradition and works of early Christians come in (What Theology did they believe? What did they agree upon, what did they denounce? What were their practices?) You may not know this but you can actually read the writings of men who knew the Apostles personally like Saint Polycarp who was a disciple of Saint John The Apostle.

Fairly recently I met 2 female Mormon missionaries that I inquired about their faith. They gave me the usual Mormon dissertation. I then asked whether they had ever read the Holy Bible, and they answered NO! If your Mormon bible is about the appearance of Jesus Christ in the New World, I asked then why has your "church" not read about his life, his mission his crucifixion and his resurrection? They were stupefied and silent. They were confused.

Scriptures don't say to join a church. The meaning of church has changed. Scriptures say to be born again and follow Jesus Christ. A church is supposed to be a body of believers that you become apart of.

I love Sam and I know he’s a true believer. He’s doing wonderful work pulling people out of false religions, but he’s apart of one. The Roman Catholic Church is the synagogue of Satan. I’m referring to the organization that is the Roman Catholic Church. I do not mean to say that God by His Grace cannot save individuals who are members of that organization. The church fathers departed from the scriptures gradually over many years leading to what is modern day Catholicism. Far removed from the scriptures.
This is what I am researching.
One point is the pregnancy of Anna, Mary's mother.
They claim "immaculate conception". In other words, Mary was conceived divinely without a man even though she had 2 parents.
I have read two translations of the same book that writes about her conception. One is older and the more recent has been revised.
Mine has an older date that states Mary was conceived in their old age and was a miracle, like Sarah and Elizabeth had their conceptions in their old age when they couldn't have kids anymore. After the angel visited them, they believed God and then after that she became pregnant. In my version, they both went to the temple to thank God for the blessing from the angels and went home. She conceived after that by natural means between a husband and wife. They dedicated their firstborn to God, because of the miracle.
The recent translations revised the timing of when Anna conceived and how she conceived.
The RC teaches that Anna was already pregnant by the time her husband returned home to hear she was already pregnant. That it was a divine conception and both went to the temple to thank God for her already being pregnant. This is the "immaculate conception".
One version is a miracle.
The other opens the door to goddess theology. That Mary had to be born perfect for God to use her.
I still lean to my older translation, that Mary was conceived the natural way as a miracle in her parent's old age, filled with the Holy Spirit while in her mothers womb and raised in the temple dedicated to God to live a virtuous life away from any bad influence as a child until the moment she would become a woman, the time of uncleanness, and she would be arranged to stay with Joseph, who happened to be a much older cousin who was widowed with kids.

The Trinity is not taught by Paul. The concept of the Trinity is the result of men trying to make sense of what Paul and others in the Bible taught about Jesus, God the Father, and the Holy Spirit. Their hypothesis may be correct. But, it also may not be correct. When Jesus comes again that should clear a lot of the confusion. Are you starting to get it?

I was raised in a family that practiced the roman catholic faith. I went to a private catholic church through 4th grade.
I had several questions about the faith.
I then met Nazarenes through my girlfriend whom I married at 19yo. Then I left the catholic church and followed the protestant Bible.
After years of attending church and studying the Bible, and using my Spiritual Gifts for the expansion of the kingdom, I found my 5th grade catechism.
I placed paper clips on each page of the catechism where the teachings were against the Bible. Almost every page has a paper clip.
My Lord and Savior Jesus Christ through His Holy Spirit, has matured my faith and walk.
Baptism does not save your soul. It is an outward sign to the world that you were buried with Christ and was born again as God's child, follower of Jesus, and sealed with the Holy Spirit.

I'm sorta wary of non-denominational churches because they're not upfront that they're Baptists, Calvinists, or Pentecostals (sometimes you can only know about their beliefs based on their About Us on their website). When I talk with friends who are in a non-denominational church I have to ask several questions: Do you guys believe in speaking of tongues? Do you do infant baptism? Do you have a female pastor? What are your view about LGBT? It's just so I can understand if they have a more fundamentalist, liberal, or traditional protestant view when it comes to theology. I'm not dissing them but it is sometimes very difficult because I'd be talking about my faith and they'd get triggered by something I said and we end up in long-winded discussions all because I don't know where they stand on different things.

The Holy Spirit was not “in” these men, and neither did He enter “in” Mary in the way we receive the Holy Spirit when we are born again through Christ with His Holy Spirit “in” us (Romans 8:9). Luke 1:35 tells us the Holy Spirit came “upon” (different Greek word) Mary and overshadowed her, just as He did for all these Old Testament Saints when He empowered them. There is a difference. The Holy Spirit empowered the virgin birth of Christ in Mary the same way the Holy Spirit empowered Sampson or David etc. Not entering “in” them the same way we experience the new birth, but coming “upon” them for a time being. In the new birth, yes, God lives “in” us by His Holy Spirit only because Jesus has justified us and made us holy and blameless before God.
But so therefore, Mary did not have to be “holy” to give birth to Jesus, the Son of God who added humanity to His deity. Mary was just as much a sinner as us, and needed the blood of Christ to make her holy before God. Only Christ died on the cross for my sin and yours, only He mediates, and He and the Holy Spirit intercede:
“There is only one God, and there is one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus”
(1 Timothy 2:5)
“He is able to save to the uttermost those who draw near to God through him, since he always lives to make intercession for them.”

And many Christians have different views on who Jesus was and the theological nature of God (Some people affirm God is Triune, others reject this and only consider The Father divine)
The theology of God is important because we want to be addressing the real God and not the one we came up with, but this is a problem since the majority of Christian groups decifer the Bible themselves which results with many differening sects all believing slightly different theologies.
To understand what the Bible is saying it's not enough to simply read it. You cannot be sure especially if you come across a person who says his understanding of it is just as divinely inspired as yours is yet he came to ENTIRELY different conclusions than you.
We need to appeal to something other than the text and ourselves to settle such a dispute and that's when earyl Christian tradition and works of early Christians come in (What Theology did they believe? What did they agree upon, what did they denounce? What were their practices?)
You may not know this but you can actually read the writings of men who knew the Apostles personally like Saint Polycarp who was a disciple of Saint John The Apostle.

We are not modalists, which is what you are describing. Modalism is a heresy condemned by Trinitarians starting in 200AD by Tertullian, Pope Callixtus 1 in 217-222AD, the synod of Antioch 268AD and finally at the Council of Nicaea 325AD.

He is the only begotten Son of God conceived by the Holy Spirit and born only from the Virgin Mary. Joseph had no part in her conception. He atoned for man's sin by dying on the cross. Not by a prayer in the garden. He resurrected.

Jesus atonement started in the garden of Gethsemane and finished with his death on the cross. Jesus said it is finished. Jesus body was made by his mortal mother but from his father he has divine attributes which enabled him to take on the sins on the world, live a perfect life and raise himself from the dead. He always reverenced his father and told others to pray only to our father in heaven. Jesus was Jehovah, God's representative on earth prior to his physical birth. He made the earth under heavenly father's direction. Jesus is our eldest brother. Since we are all children of our heavenly father. Lucifer was one son in heaven. He wanted praise and worship his pride made him fall. He had one third of the people in heaven to back him and they waged war on God. They got kicked out of heaven.
