All this are angels speaking for God. Have you checked 1 Timothy 6:16? furthermore Jesus did not come into the picture until Bethlehem, that is why we celebrate christmas, and the Messiah was a descendant of David, 2 Samuel 7:12-16. I would not recommend using the so called "church fathers" they were not in agreement among themselves.
Jesus is the epitome of humbleness. Imagine you being a God and lived among us sinners and we persecuted Him and mocked Him and did a lot of bad things . How amazing is Jesus Christ.

As you read multiple times at the beginning of many old testament books, you will see written: "And the WORD of THE LORD came unto me, saying..." Then John is given the revelation that Jesus is the WORD of God, as we see John write about that in John 1:1-3, 14 and Revelation 19:13. Amazing. Earth is full of sinners, God shall not comes down in His real Almighty form. So how should He appear to Moses? By sending an Angel as a mediator in physical form, who talks the thought of the God above. Only God Himself can say that He is the God, that time He speaks in the form of the Angel.

In the bush He is “I am!” When He spoke to the parents of Samson, He was “Wonderful!” Jesus is the one who appears to man as he is savior. The Lord the father does not. And His name shall be Wonderful, Counselor, The Mighty God, Ever lasting father, prince of peace. Five names. Five is the number of grace. It is the hey. We serve an awesome god. He knew us before he put two rocks together to make this earth and he had purpose for each of us.

If anyone thinks the Father was speaking out of the bush, while the Angel of the Lord only appeared but was not speaking ( like the baptism of Jesus), compare vs 3:2 "angel of the LORD appeared to him" with Moses concern in vs 4:1 "they will say, ‘The LORD did not appear to you'" and God's reply in verse 4:5 "that they may believe that the LORD, the God of their fathers, the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob, has appeared to you." Only one person appeared in the burning bush.
@@maxirice3554God in his differing persons is seen throughout the Old Testament. Christ is not a different “form of God” he is a different “person of God”. Christ is not the same as the Father or the Holy Spirit. See the Baptism of Christ in the Gospel of Matthew when all three persons of the Godhead are present at the same time. So Christ is not a form of the Father or the Spirit a form of Christ or the Father. Each are distinct persons of the Godhead. There is a grave and ancient error called “Modalism” that suggests that there is only one God (True) but that he appears in 3 different forms suitable to the occasion (False). They suggest that the Father comes as Christ in human flesh then once Christ returns to heaven he comes to us again as the Holy Spirit. This is heresy that was condemned by the early church and a lot of Christians don’t really know it and are unclear on the teaching of the Godhead.

And for those who are new to faith and read the old testament and think to yourself, why did God do this or that in the old testament, realize whatever He did it was to prepare for His coming as man from since the fall, or from the beginning.
This was such a powerful lesson. I was blessed by the teaching. I have to share two things. 1. I followed along the text using the horribly constructed New World Translation. (It forces members of the Watch Tower to at least give it an attentive listen) Even their perverted text could not corrupt the truth ingrained in God’s word. 2. The other observation is that it drives home the point, that it is impossible to have a true relationship with God unless it is born/birthed out of a relationship with Jesus.

Hebrews states that the Son appeared once in the last days to put away sin. If He appeared to Moses and then in the last days to put away sin, that would be twice.

@@7KRexCHAT Hebrews 9 makes the point that the Son has only appeared once. 26 for then he would have had to suffer repeatedly since the foundation of the world. But as it is, he has appeared once for all at the end of the ages to put away sin by the sacrifice of himself. The Son has only appeared once, so to say that He appeared other times contradicts what the writer in Hebrews 9 has stated. The point being, the Angel of the Lord cannot be the Son because that would then be more than one appearance. The Angel of the Lord must be someone other than the Son to ensure that Hebrews 9 isn't a contradiction.

Jacob, Abraham, Lot, Manoah, Hagar, Moses, all saw God in the flesh, who came as the Angel of Yahweh. They did not die because they did not see him in his full glory as he manifest himself as the Angel. People saw Jesus, and they saw God, just like he said, and they did not die. Seeing God in his full glory will destroy a human being, which is why God comes as the Word or as the Angel.

In Stephen's speech before he was stoned to death he mentioned the angel in the bush speaking to Moses and the writer of Hebrews clarified that the son is not an angel. Not everyone should be teachers this is a clear example of this
The context in n which the word angel is used determines the meaning. Angel in Hebrew is Malak, the word does not denote nature, but function, as in a spokesman or spokesperson. Christ is the spokesperson of the Godhead. Hence he is referred to as THE ANGEL OF THE LORD. The writer of Hebrew is using Angel in the context of created beings, two different context.
Any time the Bible, Old Testament, say "the Angel of the Lord" it is talking about someone we will later call Yeshua (Jesus). The Angel of the Lord appeared to Gideon. Gideon worshiped Him and offered a burnt offering. No angel would allow us to worship him unless God in the form of a man appeared as the Angel of the Lord. The same with Manoah. They worshiped the Angel of the Lord. Jesus allowed people to worship Him. Why? Because He was the Angel of the Lord, God in form of a man.
I had never seen much of this before, or at least it did not consciously register with me. This is a wonderful study and I think he makes a strong case for how these appearances of "the Angel" were in fact the pre-incarnate Christ. Well done!

If anyone thinks the Father was speaking out of the bush, while the Angel of the Lord only appeared but was not speaking ( like the baptism of Jesus), compare vs 3:2 "angel of the LORD appeared to him" with Moses concern in vs 4:1 "they will say, ‘The LORD did not appear to you'" and God's reply in verse 4:5 "that they may believe that the LORD, the God of their fathers, the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob, has appeared to you." Only one person appeared in the burning bush.

Christ is not the same as the Father or the Holy Spirit. See the Baptism of Christ in the Gospel of Matthew when all three persons of the Godhead are present at the same time. So Christ is not a form of the Father or the Spirit a form of Christ or the Father. Each are distinct persons of the Godhead.
There is a grave and ancient error called “Modalism” that suggests that there is only one God (True) but that he appears in 3 different forms suitable to the occasion (False). They suggest that the Father comes as Christ in human flesh then once Christ returns to heaven he comes to us again as the Holy Spirit. This is heresy that was condemned by the early church and a lot of Christians don’t really know it and are unclear on the teaching of the Godhead.

This was such a powerful lesson. I was blessed by the teaching. I have to share two things.
1. I followed along the text using the horribly constructed New World Translation. (It forces members of the Watch Tower to at least give it an attentive listen) Even their perverted text could not corrupt the truth ingrained in God’s word.
2. The other observation is that it drives home the point, that it is impossible to have a true relationship with God unless it is born/birthed out of a relationship with Jesus.
Yeah unfortunately in the NIV they sometimes didnt capitalize Angel in "angel of the Lord" so I couldn't tell if it meant Jesus or an actual angel. I'm glad Sam clarified it for me!

Hebrews 9 makes the point that the Son has only appeared once.
26 for then he would have had to suffer repeatedly since the foundation of the world. But as it is, he has appeared once for all at the end of the ages to put away sin by the sacrifice of himself.
The Son has only appeared once, so to say that He appeared other times contradicts what the writer in Hebrews 9 has stated. The point being, the Angel of the Lord cannot be the Son because that would then be more than one appearance.
The Angel of the Lord must be someone other than the Son to ensure that Hebrews 9 isn't a contradiction.

I believe the Holy Spirit is the One being spoken about because Jesus mentioned that same characteristic of the Holy Spirit in Luke 12: 10 "And everyone who will speak a word against the Son of Man, it will be forgiven him; but the one having blasphemed against the Holy Spirit will not be forgiven."
I learned this when I attended the SDA church in the 1990's with Pastor Stephen Bohr. He taught this using these same verses. I love hearing this.

In Stephen's speech before he was stoned to death he mentioned the angel in the bush speaking to Moses and the writer of Hebrews clarified that the son is not an angel. Not everyone should be teachers this is a clear example of this

The context in n which the word angel is used determines the meaning.
Angel in Hebrew is Malak, the word does not denote nature, but function, as in a spokesman or spokesperson. Christ is the spokesperson of the Godhead. Hence he is referred to as THE ANGEL OF THE LORD.
The writer of Hebrew is using Angel in the context of created beings, two different context.
Any time the Bible, Old Testament, say "the Angel of the Lord" it is talking about someone we will later call Yeshua (Jesus). The Angel of the Lord appeared to Gideon. Gideon worshiped Him and offered a burnt offering. No angel would allow us to worship him unless God in the form of a man appeared as the Angel of the Lord. The same with Manoah. They worshiped the Angel of the Lord. Jesus allowed people to worship Him. Why? Because He was the Angel of the Lord, God in form of a man.
I had never seen much of this before, or at least it did not consciously register with me. This is a wonderful study and I think he makes a strong case for how these appearances of "the Angel" were in fact the pre-incarnate Christ. Well done!
