What did you all think about the The Flash episode "A New World, Part One"? We finally fully see this pivotal moment in this series and it did not disappoint. I love how Barry got closure from his parents and got revenge on Thawne by showing him grace. An incredible way to close out the rivalry and circle back to this defining moment. Did anyone notice the doctor at the hospital was Dr Rachel Rosso, aka. Ramsey Rosso's (Bloodwork) mother who died from ALS. Such a cool detail.
22:36 not necessarily since in the OG timeline (where the Future Flash who warned season 1 Barry not to save his mom came from) is the timeline where his mom was still alive and he became The Flash in 2020 instead of 2014, hence why Thawne killed his mom in the first place because if she was already dead in the future that they came from them killing her wouldn’t have accomplished anything, the reason Barry saving his mom in season 3 turned out so bad was because even tho he saved his mom, his parents and his younger self still witnessed the two speedsters fighting that night, but if neither Barry or Thawne go to Barry’s house and fight in front of everyone then the timeline would revert back to the OG timeline where Barry’s mom is still alive and he becomes The Flash in 2020 instead of 2014
The writer and director of this episode was the showrunner himself, Eric Wallace. By the way, just an fyi, episode 9 last week was directed by Danielle Panabeker (and she did a very great job). Also, this is the same actor who plays Eddie Thawne. In my opinion, the real big bad is the negative speed force. It recruited this guy to become Cobalt Blue and I'm pretty sure that it is behind the return of past villains (I won't spoil it for you).
I haven’t seen a comment about this but when Barry tried to go back to where he was he landed in the laundry van which was probably a reference to the first episode where he got his powers and landed in a laundry van
In the comics, Cobalt Blue is Malcolm Thawne. Eobard Thawne ancestor and Barry Allen twin brother. Basically, when Nora Allen came in to deliver her baby, the thawne family also came to deliver their baby. The thawne baby didn't make it, so the doctor (if you noticed, "Eddie" name tag said his surname was Gilmore. Dr. Gilmore was the doctor who delivered the babies and did the switching) gave the Thawnes, Barry twin. I think, on this show, instead of having Malcolm Thawne/Cobalt Blue to be Barry twin....it's gonna be Eddie twin who becomes Cobalt Blue
In the comics, Cobalt Blue’s name is Malcom Thawne, but in the show, if you look at the ID badge in the beginning of the episode, the name on the badge says “Malcom Gilmore”. I think the reason they are using Rick Cosnett as Cobalt Blue now is because in the beginning of the show when they casted John Wesley Shipp as Barry’s dad, fans wanted to see him as Jay Garrick, and we eventually got that at the end of season two, then people started asking if the show would ever do Cobalt Blue, and IF they did, maybe they could get Rick Cosnett to come back to be Cobalt Blue, and they FINALLY did it
Back to back fire episodes is just insane. I'm sure the 3rd episode in a row won't be as good as these past 2 episodes but I'm fine with it if the finale is fire 🔥🔥🔥🔥
That’s not Eddie (hence why he says “who the hell is eddie thawne?”) That’s Dr. Gilmore (based of his badge) In the comics, Dr. Gilmore is the doctor who stole Malcolm Thawne at birth and reported him as stillborn. Malcolm was the twin brother of Barry Allen which was raised by the Thawne family
This is how speedster should fight. I love the story for this episode plus yep that blurry like fight because their supposed to be moving fast paced not some star wars lightsaber duel lols
was that him nah that’s not him. Him him not him him nott him I thought I was tripping that’s not him I knew that wasn’t him actually it’s him his him jimmy him him
Bro seriously but you were all over the place with this episode haha. A few things to point out. 1. How was Cobalt Blue spoiled? Ever since the season 8 final people have been speculating that Cobalt would make an appearance this season. The blue crystal is a reference to the Blue Flame Cobalt uses in the comics. His including in this season isn't a spoiler because the writers aren't really subtle. The cystal was a massive hint if you know about Cobalt from the comics. 2. Why did you think they used a different actor for Eddie? It's literally the same actor and he barely looks any different. 3. The the ''slow motion'' fight between Barry and Eobard we saw play out in this episode wasn't from season 2. It was first shown in season 1 episode 17. 4. It hasn't been confirmed that Cobalt is behind what is currently happening. Based on what we've seen I think the Negative Speedforce is behind pulling Barry into the past. 5. The director and WRITER of this episode was Eric Wallace A.K.A The showrunner A.K.A the same guy that's been getting all the hate because of the filler episodes. People literally thought they hired some expert writers to write this episode lol.
Enjoyed your reaction! BTW, Joe is Barry's father-in-law or father figure and not his step dad (Joe would have to be married to either of Barry's parents for that ).
omg stop drinking....how can you not know that was Eddie in the beginning and for CB it was mentioned like 10x last yr and it was all over the internet that he was coming in the last season lol. This episode was right up there with The little Dinosaur episode.Pretty good

Rachel Rosso didn't die from ALS. She died from HLH Cancer. The same disease Ramsey had.

It has came full circle
The best epsiode of the season honestly.
The Crystal brought Barry back to the year 2000 to finish the loop

Actually I heard Eric Wallace wrote and directed this entire 4 part finale.
I think it’s safe to say the comic books spoiled it back in 1998
I was only 1 year old

That is eddie , its at least the same actor. Idk if he will play eddie or his long lost son or somethin. But i think its eddie without his memories
The crystal make it blue but it's supposed to be a negative

😂yes it's Eddie at the beginning and the end
The lady doctor is bloodwork mom
The Dr was Ramsey Rosso mom
Eric Wallace & Thomas Pound are the writers of ep 10 s9 of the flash

that's the negative speed force corrupting Joe fyi
If cobalt blue was spoiled for you, wait til the finale!!! Its gone be dope

I hope you're wrong since every episode before the Oliver episode this season was terrible. They "should" give us another banger
@@Migz2682 well I saw the promo so I didn't see anything to get too hyped about. But we'll see next week
He is eddie... just 8 years older.. same guy and all
He just look so different from when he was in last season, like he lost a little weight or something.
@@Funk_Reactions he does look thin ..so I agree.. or it could be the lighting and camera angles too
We are actually April 25th it's supposed be 2024
omg dude the doc was last weeks villian wife 😢😢😢😢😢😢and you didn't get barry running into the white van in the beginning from season one
It was not his wife lol. It was a younger version of his mother.
It’s the same exact actor as Eddie with a slightly different haircut
