For anyone struggling to open the controller please note that all you have to do is squeeze the plastic on either the lower left or the lower right handle. There is no need to pry anything, just a squeeze in and it will come loose on both sides.
I thought this would be an actual stick box replacement, but still a cool repair. I've done a lot of these types of repairs myself and I have a drawer full of dead controllers right now I need to work on
I've been a subscriber for a long time, Adam. I've enjoyed your videos and understand your desire to grow your channel. I do think it's a shame that you've turned into one of those content creators who begs for likes, subscribers and comments on every video. I've hesitated saying something but every single video (except the shorts) has the plea before you even begin the work since you returned from your year long hiatus. You're a solid content creator. If you were to post on a regular schedule, which it appears you are trying to do, your channel will grow. I believe quicker than with the plea to begin every video. There are those of us that are contrary and find those kinds of pleas distasteful. I wouldn't say anything but I know I'm not alone as I've seen many comments on other videos. You've got good videos and I don't believe you need to beg for likes. With all respect. I truly mean no offense.

Just a heads up, that controller is fake. The PCBs are always green on the genuine Sony controllers
the worst feeling is using a tool to open something only for it to damage
Hi. I just found this video and I don't know if you will see my question, but here goes anyway. My PS4 wireless controller is slightly shocking me on the left grip area. What the heck is going on? Could it be the screw is loose or what? Any suggestions you have would be greatly appreciated. 🙂
Thumbsticks for xbox and ps4 controllers are interchangable.... but the encoders/analog stick boxes underneath that are not. Green and gray for xbox, Blue, pink green for ps4.

This is version 1 of the original ps4 controller, version 2 has a sensor light on the touch pad
