- Replace Analog STICK PS4? Do you want to know how to replace your old PS4 Thumbsticks that have worn out? Don't ditch your controller just yet, buying new thumbsticks and replacing the worn out ones is very easy!
The PS4 Controller has a problem with the thumbstick becoming worn out very quickly. In this tutorial, I will show you how to dissemble the ps4 controller and replace the old thumbsticks step by step. The new thumbsticks should only cost around 5 dollars. Otherwise, you do have the option to buy kontrol freeks and place them over your worn out thumbsticks.

When you reassembled the controller, you forgot to re-connect the flat blue ribbon cable which you disconnected at 2:57 from the top of the printed circuit board.
He forget to reassembled it on 6:32
I just tried it with out connecting, it still works fine

thanks dude. easy enough. broke off the spacer between the l1 and l2 buttons but was able to superglue it back together
I just took the worn out grips off without disassembling and used the DualShock 3 ones instead.

Or just take off the grips. Flip the new ones put em over the bare sticks and flip em down

My xbox 360 controller that i use for my PC, my Xbox One controller as well as my Switch have not peeled.
But my Sony PS4 controller?

I have use a xbox one wired controller for my laptop and its OK for the price I payed
But I can use my steam and dualshock 4 v2(from my ps4 pro) controller also as a mouse
But I am not a fan of the xbox controller just like the ps3 controller
I find it hard to separate those

Yeah, I love my Kontroller freeks! They just attach over you're existing thumbsticks and they are much better. However, it can be tricky finding the best ones for you since theirs so many. Walmart also has POWERA, which I like too.

I play Dead By Daylight on PC, but I use my Dualshock 4. My rubber cane completely OFF my thumbstick. No chipping or fraying, just OFF. I think honestly they just glue it
Maybe mine had these Lil rubber strings attached to the Joy stick but glue is a smart idea tho

Just don't play it too aggressively, and it should for quite a while. But it will wear off again

I've never worn thumbsticks down on any ps4 controller I've had the Ps1 the 2 and the 3 and the 4 and never had a worn thumbstick how do people wear them down with a sander or something lol.

Just be gentle, the case will come off :D I kinda have to lift each end up a little before pulling everything off.

Lol. Compared to these Xbox controllers these are awful in regards to what you have to do to just replace the thumbsticks. Really bad craftmanship on Sony's behalf.
