Like it’s a good idea. But I don’t know how feasible it is at the lower levels. Or are you going to the area where the club/underage game has a different set of rules. If you’re a ref and you don’t have linesmen and umpires it seems like it’ll be difficult.
Sounds good but hard to police
Not easy alright but it can’t be any harder to police than the offside rule in soccer, which referees often have to do themselves without any linesmen at the lower levels.
Won't it just be a block of 11 v 11 instead of 15 v 15 and the same old sideways passing albeit 'slightly' closer to the goal. Football is really really struggling with its identity at this stage.
With all the complaints on refing let's make more to watch jeezzus use your brains fellas
Too hard to police. Would be much more effective to say the attacking team cant bring the ball behind their own 65. This would allow the defence to apply pressure, and make turnovers. Even with eleven defenders, the tactic will be to keep 11 behind the ball and the attacking team will be able to hang on to the ball for ages with handpassing as they do now.
Some of them are good make the sport more exciting but there is too much
Football is going to get alot worse to many rules and not enough of football, GAA are killing the game - not only that referees are now going to police this, going to be difficult unless an additional ref is brought in
How is this going to make football worse? Not enough football - explain that. They aren’t doing this for the good of their health. Clearly trying to improve some aspects of the game.
Load of bull
I have no idea what was just explained to me here 😅
It’s pretty straight forward & self explanatory
Too many rules at once
Too much manipulation. Leave it alone lads.
Football is a disgrace compared to what it used to be...something had to be done.
Players are use to going to defend. This rule is so stupid. This will be one of the rules that won't get voted in
I think it has merit. Opens up more space and make counter attacks more dangerous
I think it's a great rule
@@seanhogan9196 but think of it this way. If your playing full forward and your team turns the ball in your teams half and you make a run to get the ball quickly, you and your marker and just going to have to awkwardly wait for the ball to cross the half way line. Also, of the ball stops before the half way line and yous 2 are the closest to it, yous just have to stand there and watch as you can't do anything. Stupid rule
