Did they ever consider a 13 player a side game? Also why not just give the goalkeeper a no hop no solo.. goalkeepers are getting shafted here with that rule.. they cant dictate a game at all and are effectively useless when their team has the ball. No hop or solo is also a regulation but it stops goalkeepers slowing the game down. They have to be aware of their next pass before receiving it.
You can bring in as many rules as you like, but as long as there is a structure where Dublin and Kerry can walk to a semi final, while Ulster teams need to slog it out, it will always be unfair. Scrap the provincials, or make them a pre season comp. End this outdated nonsense
They are new championship proposals but they are needlessly complicated a yes the provincials have to or moved to preseason. Also finals need to brought into august at least ,they are giving other sports far too much of a shop window and champoinships are far too rushed.as regards the rules they seem fine, but the scoring system may cause trouble in determining where the ball is kicked from there would need to be an adjustment to hawkeye atleast
Just fix the tackle. The silly tackle rules are the primary source of football's issues and the main thing preventing it from functioning properly as a sport. Look at the last serious compromise rules game from 2015, the ball was kicked around the pitch, because getting caught in possession was punished with a functional and real wrap tackle. Every contact field sport in the world outside of Ireland where a ball is carried forward in hand has a wrap tackle. Rules in any real sport should be simple, clear, effective and easy to enforce, it other words, functional. The gaa tackle in both codes does not function. There's a deep lack of honesty about it.
Get rid of all the hand passing and go back to a catch and kick game. Two consecutive hand passes, and then the ball must be kicked.. It's supposed to be football, not handball. Too many teams are overly reliant on handpassing to keep pocession slowing the game down and taking away the skill of kick passing and scoring
Take the[ Sick] Counties of Northern Ireland OUT of Gaelic Games and that will Clean Up Gaelic Sport especially Tyrone and Armagh cut out the hand pass it,s FOOT BALL .

We should run county football like a premier league and get the best in the country rewarded for there efforts.
