I started properly watching Gaelic football in the late 70’s early 80’s and the forwards stayed forward there was none of this 15 players behind the ball.. it’s a defensive hand pass bore
I’ve stoped watching GAA years ago, besides the hurling games toward the final. The football is seriously boring and not captivating. I already hear when foreign people watch it, they say it’s interesting but kinda bland. It needs far more changes. It has no marketing. Nothing that captivates people to watch.
Is it the case that all the rules have to be bought in or just some of them? I don’t like the new scoring system. Other than I’m interested to see how they go and hope they enhance the game.
Would not like a new scoring system either but it needs some changes as hurling is often a great spectacle at the highest level.
The rule changes don't address the real issues. Dublin and the provincial structure.
Catching the ball for a mark is a joke of a rule
I'd prefer if the mark was removed.
Not a fan either. Will be interesting to see the new advantage rule.
Great ideas football is boring as batsh1t. Also interesting that the GAA remit is to make football the best amateur game internationally, hurling already is but the GAA have neglected the expansion of hurling into weaker counties for years- it’s a joke.
It is amazing that in about ten counties hurling is pretty much non existent and another ten have never been able to compete even near the top level.
In general, rule changes in recent memory have done nothing but make the game worse.
This is going to single handedly ruin the game. The tap and go frees I think is a good idea but the rest are not. 1v1 to start a game is HORRIBLE, the 3 back ruin doesn't sound that bad but there's no need! It's high risk high reward if all rhe defenders push forward. Passing back to the keeper rule is just stupid. The only team that brings the keeper that far forward are Derry but that strategy doesn't even work well. TG there's a survey so we can devote this crap
1v1 at the start is "horrible" get a grip pal it happens twice a game its not going to make any noticeable difference
The game is already at a low point. Don't see this 'single handedly' ruining anything
So i run up the field and i have broken the rule of 3 behind the line .What does the ref do
What is the penalty
@@bluebluebleewatch the video on it - explains it very clearly
No real discussion about the new rules. Two presenters presenting and neither had the ability to play devil's advocate. In effect it will now be 12 behind the ball but they will only be facing 12 - will slow the game down even more. The mark is so anti gaa and encourages defenders to punch the ball instead of catching it if competing with a forward. So much to discuss but the presenters. Made it more a public relations interview than any real analysis
Ah stop being so bloody cynical, we are trying to improve the game. You'd be better served giving us a suggestion, rather than nothing
No need for it.
So you don't think the game needs any improvement?
