    If Ford would do it, I think the maverick would outsell the F-150, but that's probably the real reason Ford won't build enough mavericks for everyone who wants one. And if they keep raising the price, Ford won't have to worry about making or selling too many mavericks!

    • @question_it_701

      I don't think it would outsell the F150, but they would sell a heckuva lot more if they made more and they were priced fairly in comparison to F150. And....about 50% of F150 owners could easily get by with a Maverick for what they use there F150's for...but that's not the American way. LOL. I have an F150. I could get by with a Maverick at this point. But...I'm a 6"0 tall thick bodybuilder sorta guy... and...I just....love full size pickups. Easier to get in and out of. Some folks think things that are low are easier. Every time I have to get into a car of someones, I think "man what a pain in the ass" when I get in or out. Mainly out.

      People buying an F-150 are not going to buy a Maverick. If they were looking for a smaller truck, they would have bought a Ranger. Not the same customer base. Also, Ford will do NOTHING to take volume away from the F-150, as it is their cash cow!

    got 11k miles on my 2.0 and I love it! 31.8mpg combined and highway cruise control ot wont go under 34mpg. The fact that I go 80-110mph in a lot of straights and still get good gas mileage is impressive.

    Spray in bed liner used to be included with XLT Lux package. Drop in rubs the paint off in the bed and allows rusting in the bed.

    • @RichmondFordLincoln
      @RichmondFordLincoln  11 місяців тому

      It's unfortunate but most likely due to additional time in plant for the spray-in process. However, our family of dealerships off spray-in bed liners on site! Something to consider when shopping.

    As a two-time Ranger owner, If I have to place order , expect to wait for 8 months with a tremendous and insulting "Dealer Adjustment"on top, I may just forget it and buy a Santa Cruz instead. I know I am not the only one who thinks like this.

    Of ordered will they stay at MSRP or will they add a 10,000 market adjustment?

    I was REALLY interested in buying 1 of these when they came out 2 yrs ago, but w/ALL of the BS- you have to buy 1, site unseen; don't even get to test drive it; you MIGHT get it 8-12 months later, or you mite not; some dealers have a $10K mark-up... so, I purchased a new vehicle in March instead. TOO MUCH BS INVOLVED WITH THESE!

    Which one is better in the long run, Maverick XLT or Maverick XLT Hybrid?

      These vehicles have not been out that long, but there are forums and Facebook groups with owners with higher mileage Mavericks that may have better insight. But when you purchase from our dealership it is good to know you get a 100,000-mile warranty for extra piece of mind!

    Looks like corporate ford wants to gouge customers like its dealerships have been doing. For the 2024 prices I might as well buy a honda ridgeline. I cannot support a company that takes advantage of people for extra profit.

      The Maverick was conceptualized well before the pandemic. Post pandemic, the parameters Ford prepared this product around drastically changed. As addressed in the video the components needed to mass produce the hybrid engine are not readily available, thus the change in concept. And as with everything else, prices have increased across the board in relation to the cost of materials. Ford is streamlining their portfolio lineup to give customers what they want. Having too many options in the case of the Lariat delays production time in the factory associated with the component quantities they order and have on hand to build orders. Hope this helps clear up whats really going on. Ford is not trying to gouge their customers. The profit margin on the Maverick is not very high.

    I dont get the appeal of these. I would rather see a true successor to the original Ranger/S10/Toyota Pickup/Nissan Hardbodies of the world. Available with a regular cab, long bed, frame rails with the Bronco's 7 speed. Not a unibody crossover with the rear roof lopped off.

    • @RichmondFordLincoln
      @RichmondFordLincoln  11 місяців тому +3

      The reality is that those single cab models would not sell nearly as well. Trucks used to be an addition to the family car, now trucks are a one vehicle do it all, commute/work/recreation. As times have gotten more expensive for families, they are more likely to choose one vehicle that covers all of there needs. A 4 door Maverick can fit the family, offer good gas mileage for your commute, and put in work when you need it to. The Maverick is not intended to replace the Ranger segment, but rather create a new one for the urban/suburban light duty truck customer.

      @@RichmondFordLincoln Disagree to an extent. The Ford Ranger, when discontinued was still selling about 80,000 units a year, having not had a major change in at least 6 years. I believe Ford was the last to discontinue the small truck, so there was probably still a 150,000 plus annual market.

    • @RichmondFordLincoln

      The Maverick bridges a gap for former sedan and SUV customers who want the capability of a truck without the compromise of the size and associated running costs of a full size pickup.

      @@joshdoddadbod THAT'S my point!!!!! LOL. Bingo!!!! My wife heard how hard they were to get, etc and she asked why. I said "gas mileage. People are paying double MSRP so they get good gas mileage". She said "yeah...but paying double....to get good gas mileage....doesn't that defeat the point?" I said "Yep". So that's where I stand. At their price point, they don't make a lot of sense. And know they were never DOUBLE MSRP, but...they were marked up heavily because of gas mileage back in 2021. I don't know if they still are...but...to me...they aren't worth the price.

      @@question_it_701If their main concern is gas mileage why are they even buying a Ford instead of from a company that actually makes economy cars? Consumers are insanely irrational right now. I'm going to be laughing when this obviously debt bubble finally explodes.

    • @RichmondFordLincoln
      @RichmondFordLincoln  5 місяців тому

      Paint options change every few years on all makes and models regarding the non-core colors (black/white/gray/silver) Area 51 is leaving Ford's lineup because it's very similar to the newer color Azure Gray Metallic. Prices have gone up across the board because materials costs have risen since the pandemic. It's not just Ford trying to get more from the customer. The vehicles cost more to manufacture.

    And remember, the dealerships will say the order is $15k higher when the Mav arrives one year later. Customer will cancel. Then dealer will raise it another $5,000 for the sucker who comes in the next day.
