I got my Terrain Maverick yesterday. I ordered it Dec 30. I originally wanted Cactus Gray, but when I saw this color at the dealer it looked like a light gray to me. It was a partly cloudy, rainy day, typical for Portland OR in December. It was parked under a canopy but sunlight was hitting the front of it and that looked light a light tan or cream. The color in the shade looked light gray the sides looked a different shade of gray. The color kept shifting depending on where I was standing. I love that. I used to have a 1995 Honda Accord that was Cashmere, which was a metallic Champaign color and it changed color depending on the light too. I joked it was the color of road film because it hid dirt so well. Long story short, when I saw this color I fell in love with it, but I was still tempted to order the Cactus Gray. Finally I decided I wanted a truck that was different from most of the other trucks on the road so I went with Terrain and I'm glad I did.
I wasn’t willing to order the new 2024 color sight unseen. It would be helpful if the dealerships had swatches. But, I loved the Cactus Gray from the get-go. I love how the color changes in different lighting - it’s an unusual color. And I love the milkiness of it.
Hey Brendan, nice job. I did a video a couple of months ago of a F-150 Raptor in Terrain. I videoed in different light too and noticed a yellow tint. Not sure if you see that on your Mav.
Or... Azure Grey, it has this pearl shine thats amazing. But I'm really liking each year having different special colors. Easier to tell the year difference from afar. Loving my xlt hybrid lux
Looks great! I have a 22 Area 51 hybrid. Just put in an order for a 24 azure gray tremor but honestly love that terrain color. If the tremor package had brown seats, I would’ve picked terrain. Love my Maverick but first year models definitely has some issues to sort through. Mine has unfortunately been back for warranty work quite a few times. Hoping the ecoboost engine will be a more reliable journey but will miss 50ish mpg
I have a 23 Cactus grey and ordered the 24 lt in terrain with the BAP. After seeing one in person. I prefer the cactus and switched it back. I just dontnlike the cream/sandy look. Thanks for the video, this will help people decide.
Thank you for your smart idea regarding the paint swatches, I had no idea what color I was waiting for in my 2024 truck since I hadn't seen the Terrain color maverick before buying one 4 months ago , I'm still waiting for mine, but I did stop at home depot and picked up the swatch in Safari Vest. I was really happy to see my new truck wasn't going to be a Creamy/white color, or old man tan color..lol.. I hope you're right lol..Im praying..🙏🙏 nice color from what i see!!
Oh - and also, I was trying to paint match my Area 51 Maverick for a bed divider I was building. I couldn't find a really close match. The closest color I found was Behr "Granite Falls".
I just bought a 2023 XLT in Cyber Orange Metallic with the black trim package. Ford's paint code for that color is "SB" (it's right on the VIN sticker) which I have read around the interwebs stands for "school bus". Regardless of that little tidbit, the contrast of all black trim and wheels with the bright orange paint are fantastic, and the metal flake pops in bright sunlight.
Beach sand color. Terrain is apt name. Though it's kind of like my Tacoma's Lunar Rock. The pigment in it has a chameleon effect to it from the light . In the sun my truck has a lightly green tint to it but in the night lights its more of a cement color. Think kind of like those awesome classic car show paint jobs that when the light is directly on it thekiller red comes out but in the shaded areas the , what I think of is tinted clear coat, shows off a black color.
Seems like a pale khaki similar or how Cactus gray is a pale gray. In certain light either might almost pass for white. In other lighting it is obvious they are not.
I just bought my Maverick in terrain. I love how the color seems to change in different light.
I love the cactus gray but this is also nice like from the same palette. Nice mural for sure, cool club. 🎸
Good contrast on the truck with that exterior color, and it goes great with the brown interior too. A good choice for a “never gets dirty” color.

Can you keep it in EV mode on the highway at all?
Yes! It’s all just based on the load you put on the engine. Light loads will switch it over to EV mode. I’ve maintained speeds around 60mph
