You can literally see that you`re enjoying your travels and mingling along with the locals getting drunk, its totally the way I would love to travel. Big thumbs up!!
I played in a rugby tournament in San Antonio a few years back. Everyone was cracking open cold ones at 9am. I miss football but rugby is a decent replacement.
Charlet is absolutely precious, especially on part 3 on the Vice channel. At the end of part 3, she interviews chef Matt Powell who answers her questions with 1-3 words, but expresses his genius through creating food for her. Her overwhelming charm, gratitude and appreciation for Matt and his gift make it my favorite episode so far.
I know I am late to the party, this series popped up as suggested watching, and watched of couple of Charlet's Scotland episodes, then came here and saw your comment, so I went off and found the episode (which is now in this channel btw) and totally agree with you, what a hard customer to interview, but once he warmed it was a pleasure to watch, he is basically a magician in foraging and cooking of wild foods. You can easily see why he was a Michelin starred chef, but to be able to do this in a tent is beyond amazing
This dudes "recipe" for rarebit is solid. After this video I tried his version and felt it was the simplist and most enjoyable rarebit i have ever had.
Hello people i am from Singapore i am coming 40 this coming august. Honestly i watched munchies Scotland and now munchies Wales. To be very honest i really learn a lot about Scottish and Welsh cultures. I learn about food that didn't exist here in my country. I am not just talking about food but everything. Thank u Charlet and your team of showing us everything about Scotland and Wales.
Watching a couple of these munchies documentaries I realize this is a very good way to get to know, or at least have an insight in cultures around the world.

The thing i find absolutely charming about Charlet is that she smiles with her eyes, has such a cute laugh, is a good sport and of course those legs that goes on for miles
When I worked underground in mining we left the last bite so we could throw it to the Tommy knocker. If you didn't give him your last bite he could cause you to have an accident. I never wanted to test the theory so I threw my last bite out or ate on my way to the surface. Fun to see that the same types of superstitions are all over the world!
True. We met a Welsh girl at a school in Colombia where we were all studying Spanish. She was just lovely and delightful in a way which we’d never previously encountered. Hardy and fresh.
I just now realized that all the way through the tour of the cheesemaker we were listening to Luciano Pavarotti opera moments, leading up to John saying that it was Pavarotti's favorite cheese.
It's refreshing to see a series which shows British drinking culture and is unapologetic for it! Like, it's there. Most of us do it. I don't get the sense of shame with what is essentially our cultural lifestyle ^_^
Charlet is the best. Discovered Munchies Guide to ... with her and she still is my favorite host. Great episode : real people's food, drinking, bit of sightseeing. Keep them coming!
What strikes me the most is that these munchies docs about welsh and Scotland seems quite real. Been there few times and still feel honest. For the good and for the bad.
Lol. Welsh cawl is ace but to be fair they put the vegetable swede in it not the cloth suede (not even the welsh are that nuts, bless their rutabagas). Sub titles a wee bit wrong Munchies. :)

I think this one is your best episode video ! I felt bad watching you playing rugby, though ! You were adorable when you caught that rugby ball in the air being supported by another player. I liked when the organic cheese farmer said " milk from a healthy cow is the best !" Animals on farms should be healthy & respected & treated well / right ! Thank you for this video ! But ,be very careful w/ binge drinking ! Your liver was crying for doing that ! I lost my cousin for cirrhosis ! Please stay safe !💜💜💜🥁🐉🏴🎵🎤🎶💕💞
Charlet is one of my favorite Vice journalists. She's engaging, funny, unpretentious and charming. Her cultural segments are always a blast to watch.
I find her super awkward 😹 entertaining though
She sounds massively posh.

And why not? I love drinking in the morning... as long as I don't have much else to do! 🤪

Wales, where the men are men and the sheep are scared.
