It responds to hostility by reflecting the Targets “Weakness”, their “shadow”, or their “fear” right back at them, and when not met with hostility seems to try and assimilate them by showing them what they desire. Capitano wanted “Justice” and “a way to save people” so the Abyss showed him that in return for infecting him.

I think further evidence of this might come from, of all places, the descriptions of certain characters' talents being "Nightsoul-aligned". When I think about wording like that, it reminds me of pneuma and ousia. What are the chances of future Natlan characters dealing Abyss-aligned damage? Ororon also seems to have a unique silvery vision casing. It could be due to his Fatui connection (both Tartaglia and Arlecchino have become weekly bosses who possess a delusion in one of their forms, so perhaps that's the angle they're going with), or it could have some sort of Abyssal relation. IIRC, pneuma vs ousia had different vision casings, but it was related to shape rather than colour, so we'll see.

I dont think Ororon tried to be convinced by Cap in the trailer. I think it is bait. Like, Ororon already was on Cap side in 5.0, he doesnt need more proofs. What i think happened - Ororon baited Citlali and Traveller into meeting with Cap, with making fake signal that he was treatened (ye, right, leading fatui soldiers to fight abyss is way how you treat opponents, right..), and Cap proposal is actually made toward Traveller to join his side by revealing secret of Mavuika. (as he said about maknig their decision for her)
Do you think Capitano would know something about the Traveler's sibling if he is a part of the abyss and with our sibling being the abyss Princess/Prince. If we got a chance to talk to he would know more about our sibling but won't tells us more information.
I had a theory before this trailer that Columbina will come and revive the dead ancient name bearers to help with Mavuika's prophecy and as compensation she asks for the gnosis. But I guess that's thrown out the window....
can you cover the post archon quest lore, since I'd love to know the follow up questions that need to be asked, once certain questions in this video get answered by the completion of the 5.1 archon quest
