What was the reason for replacing this particular sensor? My hill dissent light is on and my brake ABS and traction control lights are also on so it says that the sensor may be one of the culprits was there a specific light that let you know that you need to replace the sensors specifically?
My ABS sensor came on and the computer started cutting my throttle and trying to slow me down (believing I was in a "skid" since the wheels were reporting different rotation speeds). I have a code reader that reads ABS codes and it told me the sensor was bad, so I replaced it.
@@DeathScouter I will look into those then because the dealership told me my ABS control module needs to be replaced (about 1800$) per them, so just checking sensors first. This is the same dealership that replaced my starter only to find out there was an electrical short in the engine bay but my new starter works great. 💀
@@OliviaEatzAirplanes SWEET JESUS!!! $1800 is highway robbery. The Front sensors are far harder to change than the rear, but even then, that price is stupid. Sensors are TWENTY FIVE dollars each at Advance Auto or other parts stores.
@@DeathScouter exactly. That’s what I’ve gathered from watching videos like this. LOL I won’t make that mistake again. I’ve already invested in a farm Jack (35inch tires and a 4 inch lift) I needed something besides a winch and a tree limb. Ha I will be doing my own maintenance on the Jeep from now on. Thank you for the advice.
Sorry, I will try to make a follow up. There's just the standard locking tab and then pull. It may be difficult because that connection collects a lot of dirt.
I replaced this same sensor on my jeep. But it didnt fix the throttle issue it gives me. Did you have to reset or retrain this sensor ?
everybody makes a video on replacing the front sensors, but no one actually shows how to get the connector disconnected....
Great video. Did you have to replace this sensor because all the lights were on for ABS and traction control
Yes. I replaced because it because lit the ABS lights.

Also, very good video very informative I’ll be using these tricks in the future if I do have to replace this.

You didn't show how to unplug the connector
That’s the only part I wanted to see! 😩
