As a detail junkie for lexus vehicles - craving on intricate details on the tech, quality, and functionality of these vehicles, you've satisfied my quench. Also some nice asmr for me as a bonus from your soft hand movements
Melissa, this was great! I just purchased a 2021 IS 350 and you made it SO easy to get familiar with the car. Thank you for taking the time to make these videos.
I watched your RX350 tutorial and was extremely impressed by the level of detail you went into, and this IS video is no different. I got a new '24 IS350 recently (arriving next month), so this video will be very relevant lol.
Great video. Used many times to learn all my new Lexus IS 300 2023 features. One suggestion for future: Setup ->Navigation->Favorites - it is very useful if you accidentally save or want to edit your favorites list in Navigation - a more detailed steps of this feature I think will help future viewers. Thanks again!

@Northside Lexus hi you mentioned for 2023 is 350 F sport the dark chrome window trim. I have not seen 1 yet for sale nationwide! When can we expect them with the dark chrome option? The silver chrome trim just totally kills the vibe of the car for me
Brought home a 2022 IS 500 F Sport Performance from Northside Lexus last weekend. Thanks to Joshua Keough and Hamilton Dawes for making it a great experience. I need to follow along with this tutorial in my new car and decide what custom programming, if any, I want during the 1k miles service visit.
Thank you so much! This is awesome. You're clear, concise and so thorough. Instant subscriber. I downloaded this video as an addition to the manual. I recently purchased the new 350 and this is exactly what I needed!!! Hopefully you'll also do an android auto video as well, then I'll be set. Keep this up please, you're awesome!
@JarrettM you just made my day! I'm so glad to help! Congratulations on your new IS350! So awesome! I am working on borrowing a colleague's Android phone to make a few Android videos. Definitely stay tuned! Thanks again and Happy New Year!
We're still not done watching this tutorial,is EXCELLENT,my wife will receive her new Lexus by the end of January, and with this show how ,it'll make things a whole lot easier...Thanks a lot and hope we all have a happy new year !!!
Thanks so much for watching! I'm so glad you find the video helpful. Congrats on your wife's new Lexus. That will be a great way to celebrate to the new year! Happy New Year to you both!
Very good video. Wish I had watched it two years ago when I got my brand new Lexus because I have not been using half of the futures you taught me today.😂
Hi Arni, Thanks for the feedback. There are so many great content creators who focus more on reviews of the vehicles so I try to stay away from that in the tutorial videos in the virtual classroom. I am working on a new series that will be more like what you are describing though. Short overviews that are more of a virtual walk around. I hope to have them rolling out later this year. Thanks again.
I came looking to figure out how to lower the volume of the parking sensors (PKSA). The time stamps were handy in navigating to the solution I was looking for. Adding chapters to the video based on the time stamps would probably go a long way for increasing the viewer experience when trying to look for specific information.
Thanks so much for tuning in with me. I wish I had more control over the chapters. Unfortunately some of the timestamps are too short for UA-cam to recognize them as their own chapter. I really appreciate your feedback though.
@@jonburrows2684 Remote Engine Start is part of the Lexus app subscription. All new Lexus vehicles come with a free trial of all Lexus Enform Services. Make sure to check with the dealership in your area to find out wat services are available and what the trial periods are.
@@jonburrows2684 It is free for three years and then $80 per year after that. Since many people lease their vehicles for three years it lines up nicely with that time frame.
Had to get a new 2021 IS (my 2007 beauty was put out to pasture after a twit ran a red light) and with inventory ridiculously low was forced to get one with navigation and more bells, whistles, warnings and beeps than I can stand!! This video helped me figure out how to turn most off, but (perhaps overlooked) how to have just a PLAIN backup view (no colored lines, no panoramic view etc) ?? I'm old school and know how to use side mirrors, and even turn my head around to look in the direction I'm going (imagine that :)) May just put a piece of tape over the camera(s)
@BLT, you are cracking me up! Very sorry to hear about the accident with your 2007 :( That's the worst! SO glad you are OK! I'm so sorry I seem to have completely left out the backup camera info in this IS video (face palm!). Long story short, yes! You can reduce the lines on the backup camera view. Here's how: In a safe parked spot, put the car in reverse, keep you r foot on the brake, click on the small thumbnail image on the lower right corner of the larger section of the screen. (It will have a thumbnail of the backup lines.) Keep clicking until you have the version you prefer. Here's the scoop from the online Owner's Manual go to page 191: file:///C:/Users/mko2533/Downloads/OM53F11U.pdf Sorry about that! Thanks very much for tuning in to learn about your new IS. I know it wasn't in your plans to get it, but hopefully you will enjoy it. :)
Thanks 😊 for sending over that video on the IS 350. Hopefully the IS 500 should basically have the same operating features. You don't do the engines ?.
You bet! Glad it was helpful. I don't review the powertrains or packages, because there are so many other great content creators out there who already do that. I specialize in teaching the features and technology to Guests in person, so that is what I've tried to focus on with the channel to reach more people through the virtual classroom. :)
Great video. Thank You-I was looking for a feature on screen that I thought was under Vehicle settings? It shows you the driver's seat on screen and three different settings for Height= Tall, Short, Normal. When the car is shut off the seat shifts back to allow driver in and out at different positions. I selected Normal originally but feel when the car shuts off the seat automatically goes back too far and I wanted to select another setting of the 3 available. Thank You!
Hi! I think the setting you may be asking about is called Driver Seat Easy Exit. The setting options are usually Full, Partial and Off. Menu > Setup > Vehicle > Vehicle Customize > Other Vehicle Settings > Driver Seat Easy Exit. There is also an additional customization that might be available to a technician when they plug their computer into the car. It has something to do with preventing the seat from going back as much as possible. It can even prevent the seat from saving at the highest seat level. It is a safety feature, but if the car has the option it can be turned off by the Tech. Not all of the models have it, but I believe on the ISs that have it is was called: "Seat Move Distance (Driver Seat Distance Adjust When Get Off)" under the Seat customizations in Techstream. I hope this helps :)
Thanks so much, David! How fun that we have the same watch band! I love it! When ever I get a new Apple Watch, I really hope they keep this Nike style band. It’s the best! Thanks again for tuning in! So glad you liked the video.
@@NorthsideLexus I’m in Hawaii. I’m interested in getting that car but it’s not in stock at the local Lexus dealership. I’m not sure how long it would take to order one and actually get it. I’m also interested in the upcoming 2022 NX 350 F Sport.
@@NorthsideLexus I’ve gotten the Nike Apple Watch since it’s initial launch. I like the style and how the band feels while wearing it. Hopefully Apple comes out with the redesigned watch this year.
Excellent tutorial!!! By the way, would your tire department recommend switching to Michelin Pilot 4S for this car if one desired to improve traction and reduce drifting tendencies?
Hi! I'm sorry for the delay. My Tire Specialist hasn't been able to find any information to get back to me on this. I just didn't want you to think I had forgotten. I just bought a 2022 last night. I noticed that when I have my music app on, I can barely hear google maps even tho the volume is way up. Any advice? Thanks!
Hi! The app volumes are all controlled separately. I would put in a destination and get the directions going, then adjust the volume in the app settings on your phone. You can also try turning it up on the side of the phone while it is talking and see if that will help. Thanks so much for checking in.
Great job. Thank you so much. I watched this several to study before I got mine. One thing I did find is that if you want your side mirrors to tilt down when in reverse, have either the L or the R lit up while you are in reverse. Press them until they are not lit up and the mirrors don't tile. Make sure to save your memory when you pick the tilt option you want. While in reverse, if the mirrors are not tilted, you can press L or R and they will tilt down.
Thanks again for this great video! How can we get more information about programming of the radio, scanning channels, favorite channels, etc.? It is not very obvious and the interface is misleading in this area. THere is some very limited info on the INternet, but not enough to get 100% from what this radio can provide, particularly favorite channels and how they can record in background and then retrieve these records.
Hi Dmitri, I think you're asking about the Radio Replay feature? That is for SXM and HD channels depending on the model and equipment on your car. Non-NAV models have a different unit and Radio Replay is for SXM channels only. The best information is in the NAV/Multimedia Owners Manual. Here's a link to the online version: drivers.lexus.com/t3Portal/document/omnav-s/OM53F11U/pdf/OM53F11U.pdf Start on page 129. Hope this helps.
Hi! The best resource for service and maintenance information will be the Warranty and Services Guide that comes with your owner's manuals. Here's the link for the 2023 IS online version: assets.sia.toyota.com/publications/en/omms-s/L-MMS-23IS350300/pdf/L-MMS-23IS350300.pdf Thanks for tuning in with me!
How do you get the radio to automatically seek for stations/signals and then of course stop the seeking when you land on a station you like? If it's "Scan" at 55:00 how do you start the scan?
Hi V8 Brah, Thanks for your question. Definitely turn on the Scan feature in the setting you mentioned. Then you can use the audio arrow buttons on the steering to scan, by pushing and holding the arrow for a little bit. I have done it in quite while, but it might beep or you will just see the numbers changing. Then press the button again to stop. You can also try the "Seek/Track" buttons below the CD player. Push and hold and see if the Scan feature will operate for you there as well. If not, please let me know and Ill see if I can get my hands on one to check for you. Thanks so much for checking in.
How do you lock the trunk & car from the trunk outside without using the key fob? On my old Toyota there was a rubber button under the trunk to press to lock the trunk, which was separate from the button to open it. Does the 2021/22 IS have this feature?
Hi! The Lexus SUVs have the feature you described, but the sedans do not. When the trunk on a sedan is closed it is locked until the button is pressed to open it again. I hope this helps. Thanks for tuning in!
Hi! Unfortunately, it is not standard on the IS. This section of the Lexus site may help: www.lexus.com/models/IS?link[model_overlay_infolayer][SHOW_PAGE]=true&link[model_infolayer][setActiveTab]=1
Hi! Can you please tell me more about "power reserve shades?" Do you mean a rear sun shade or side window shades? We don't usually see those on IS models here, but I'm happy to check on this for you.
I currently have the 2024 is 350 and the navigation system or map only displays on the screen when I plug my phone into the usb plug. I’m not sure why. Shouldn’t it automatically show up.
If you are using navigation from Apple CarPlay or Android Auto, then you will need to plug in to mirror the phone content to the vehicle screen. The IS does not current have wireless CarPlay or Android Auto at this time. Thanks for checking in with me!
Hi, unfortunately, not all models operate in the same way. Some are designed to turn off when the blinker is activated and it is not customizable in the vehicle settings. Thanks so much for checking in.
On the left of the mirror you may have the buttons for HomeLink garage pairing and on the right you may have the on/off for the auto dimming rearview mirror. Is that what you needed? Hope this helps :)
Great videos! I was in my 2022 IS 350 F sport for about 30-45 minutes and it just shut off automatically. It never has before. Is that a safety feature? I sit in my car a lot and never saw that. Thanks!
Hi Andrew! Yes! Totally normal. there are a couple of auto off safety features. One is to protect the battery, so if you are sitting in accessory mode for about an hour it will give you a message that it is turning off and the other is at idle. if the car sits in Park with the engine running for about 40 minutes to an hour, it will turn itself off. Some modes give you a message and let you select to keep the vehicle on, but I’m not sure if the IS has the option or if you just have to turn it back on. Hope this helps! Congrats on your new IS 350 FSport!
Hi. To spray the front windshield, pull the windshield wiper stalk toward you. It will spray and perform a few swipes to clear. Hope this helps. Thanks for tuning in!
Hi @Tmac, We still don't have it here in the US, from what I can tell, but it is listed in the Owner's Manual as optional equipment so I chose to include it for our viewers who might be lucky enough to have the feature. When I look on the Lexus website and in the US brochure it is still not showing. Maybe we will get it at some point? It seems like on the IS, UX and NX they keep cost down by not making seat memory off the standard features list, but it sure would be nice to have the option to add it. Fingers crossed for future builds. Thanks so much for tuning in!
No worries. If you aren't following a maintenance schedule based on miles, then you will follow based on time. The Maintenance Owners Manual recommends: every 5K or 6 months. Which ever comes first :) Thanks for your great question!
Hi! Yes, it does. There are some packaging and paint color changes, but the the video will cover all of the technology for you. Thanks very much for being here!
How do I access the information screen on the 2021+ IS that shows the current 12v battery voltage. I believe I have to use Accessory Mode but what's the secret to accessing this part of the hidden menu?
Hi! The service mode is accessed by Technicians at your Lexus dealership service department. It’s not something I’m certified to teach online, but thanks so much for checking in with me.
Hi Melissa! When i start my lexus 2021 lexus is 350 f sport, my day time running lights do not turn on. When I manually put them on by turning the headlamp switch, my rear lights turn on in the back too. I’m wondering if I can set it to where they automatically turn on when I unlock or start my car without turning my rear lights during day time? I see the other Is350 have them on and realize my car doesn’t have DRL on.
Hi! The Day Time Running lights usually turn on automatically when you have the headlight selected to Auto and when you shift from Park into Drive or Reverse. Check to see if they are coming on when you shift into gear. Then they should be on without the low beams and rear tail light also coming on. I hope this helps. If not, them I would have your Service department take a look at it for you. Thanks so much for tuning in with me!
Hi! Im from orange county and i got the 2022 IS500 launch edition. I watch some of your videos and im trying to look for specific video to setup the driver seat my problem right now is every time i turn off the car driver seat always move to its original postion not on what i want position. Thats why every time im going to turn off the engine/car i open then open and press right away my seat no. Hope you can help me. Thankyou.
Hi Kris, There are two things I can think of: 1. When you move your seat does it beep repeatedly when the seat is moving? (It might not beep in all movement directions, but it is possible that the seat is not fully calibrated.) If it is, let me know and I can tell you how to recalibrate it. If it isn't fully calibrated, then the memory seats will not be able to successfully save. 2. The car has a feature called Driver Easy Exit to make it easier to get in and out of the car, so it is normal for the seat to move when you turn the car off, start the car or buckle your seat belt. It could be that the seat is working correctly, but that a different setting (or even turning the feature off, would be better for you.) : Menu > Setup > Vehicle > Vehicle Customization > Other > Driver Seat Easy Exit > make any customizations that would work better for you. I hope this helps :)
Hi Max :) Congrats on your new IS350 F Sport! I believe the carpeted floor and trunk mats come with the basic package. If you look at the window sticker, all of the items on the left side are standard equipment and the items on the right side are additional options. That should help. Thanks for tuning in with us!
Hi! There sure is. The reset button is located under the dash. If you are sitting in the driver's seat it will be on the left side. There are specific instructions to have the reset be successful. This is from page: 308 in the online Owner's Manual if you would like to see the full instructions. drivers.lexus.com/t3Portal/document/om-s/OM53E98U/pdf/OM53E98U.pdf The tire pressure warning system must be initialized in the following circumstances: When rotating the tires. When the tire inflation pressure is changed such as when changing traveling speed or load weight. When changing the tire size. When the tire pressure warning system is initialized, the current tire inflation pressure is set as the benchmark pressure. ■ How to initialize the tire pressure warning system 1 Park the vehicle in a safe place, turn the engine switch off and wait 20 minutes or more. Initialization cannot be performed while the vehicle is moving. 2 Adjust the tire inflation pressure to the specified cold tire inflation pressure level. Make sure to adjust the tire pressure to the specified cold tire inflation pressure level. The tire pressure warning system will operate based on this pressure level. 3 Start the engine. (P.134) 4 Press and hold the tire pressure warning reset switch until the tire pressure warning light blinks slowly 3 times. Then a message will be displayed on the Drive straight (with occasional left and right turns) at approximately 25 mph (40 km/h) or more for approximately 10 to 30 minutes. Initialization is complete when the position of each tire is determined and the inflation pressure of each tire is displayed on the multi-information display. Hope this helps. Thanks for tuning in!

Hi. In the US the F SPORT models for 2023 IS350 AWD/IS350/IS300 AWD/IS300 & IS500 have the main meter in center position that can slide to the left. If it is not an FSport model it will have the 2 circular gauges that do not move. There are other vehicles and other years that have a fixed center gauge. I recommend checking the owners manual for the vehicle to make sure. www.lexus.com/My-Lexus/resources#manuals_and_guides_promo Thanks so much for tuning in with me!
Hi! Thanks for tuning in. If you have a 360 camera (panoramic view monitor) on your Lexus it will show a 360 view when the button is pressed or it will come on automatically when Auto is selected on the screen. The auto feature comes on at low speeds, including parking. Hope this helps.
@@NorthsideLexus Thanks for the reply! I was specifically wondering if the front camera activates though, with parking sensors, not just the 360 view. The reason is I want to be able to make sure I'm not going to scrape concrete parking blocks and I think the front camera would be best at showing that.
@@jr.sciencebros.8411 Got ya! As long as you have the Park Assist feature turned on, you will also see the visual alert for the parking sensors overlaid on top of 360 image. You'll also hear the beeping. The Parking Sensors don't trigger the camera though. The camera is speed sensitive and not activated by "seeing" objects. It is amazing to have both, because the parking sensors can miss smaller items or low curbs and the camera will give you the full view. Keeping it all turned on and the cameras in auto is the way to go. Does that help explain it better for your parking situation? We need to take great care of your beautiful IS!
Do all IS models have Wi-Fi? I have a 2023 Lexus IS F Sport without navigation. I do not see wifi in setup for me to turn it on even though the trial has been activated.
Hi, All of the IS models built to be sold in the US have the AT&T hotspot capability. If you aren't seeing the Wi-Fi item listed in the menu, make sure to slide your highlighter all the way over the the left of your screen to pop open the entire menu, then scroll down the list on the left hand side of the screen. You should see Wi-Fi in that list. I hope this helps. Thanks for being here!
Hi Andy! Menu > Setup > in the General setup menu scroll down to Delete Personal Data. That will clear everything in the system :) Thanks for checking in!
If you have the Lexus factory NAV, then click on the Search PIN icon on the Map screen. If your IS is a non-NAV model, then you will need to plug in and connect for Apple CarPlay or Android Auto. The Connected NAV tile on the Home screen is for an app that is no longer supported. You can customize the Home Screen In the main Setup menu to hide that tile. That is always what I recommend. Thanks for checking in.
Hi Melissa, I'm having an issue with the drive selector mode switch. When I try to put my vehicle in normal mode, it still says "eco" on the instrument cluster. Is that supposed to happen or is there something wrong with my car?
Hi! Are you seeing the Eco popup indicator in green? That indicator will come on in all drive modes, just as an acknowledgement that you happen to be driving in a fuel effecient way at that time. Then it will cycle off. When you press the Drive Mode Selector down, that should activate the Normal Drive Mode and it will not have the Eco blue color theme or the Eco title on the cluster. I hope this helps. Thanks for checking in with me!
@@NorthsideLexus oh I see. I wish the owner's manual would say that. I even called two dealerships and they weren't able to tell me if anything was wrong. Thank you so much!

Hi! I access multiple packages for each deep dive video so I can cover as many features as possible. Any car used in this video would have been a 2021 IS, unless noted on the image. I hope this helps. Thanks for tuning in with me.
Hi Will, That will depend on the package you selected when you purchased or leased your vehicle. Cars with a Home button do not come with Lexus factory navigation. However, the 2021 IS comes with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto capability and there are multiple navigation apps that can be used with those features. Thanks so much for tuning in.
Hi Steven, yes, in Accessory mode. Just press the start engine button two times to get access to all available accessory functions. Don't apply the brake like you normally do when you are starting the car. Hope this helps. Thanks for watching!
Hi! That is a carry over safety feature from all of the previous iterations of Remote Engine Start that Lexus has had. It operates like a kill switch to make sure the car is started with the smart key in the vehicle and not driven away accidentally without the key. They also like you to enter a vehicle that is not running. Many other companies allow the engine to stay on and Lexus has gotten a lot of feedback about it. Maybe as the smart keys continue to evolve they will change that feature, but for now they are sticking to the extra safety precautions. Hope this helps to make more sense of why they do it and make it less frustrating. My suggestion for another improvement is to be able to geofence your garage so if you park the car at home and don't lock it, it won't give you notifications, but if you are away from the garage you will get notifications. Maybe one day :) Thanks so much for tuning in!
Hey Beautiful people, how can I turn off the “please obey traffic laws” warning that continually plays through the car when driving above limit or approaching a school zone!? Thanks
Hi Patrick, Are you getting warnings from the Speed limit notification feature that is part of Road Sign Assist? Or are you using a navigation app through Apple Car Play or Android Auto? Let me know what you have active and I'll be happy to talk you through the possible customizations. :)
Hi Ibrahim, Yes, press the Menu button and then click on the word Display on the corner of the screen. Then click Screen Off. It will stay off until you click on something to turn a feature on. I hope this helps to answer your question. Thanks for tuning in with me! Happy New Year!

Hi! Yes, it is built into the Lexus App. See 01:59 Lexus App & Enform Remote in the video for more details. There is a free trial for the service, then it requires a subscription. Pricing information is available on the Lexus site. Hope this helps :)
Ah I see,@@gemo9561 . Yes, as long as there is some level of the Enform subscription active (like Service Connect, that comes free for 10 years in our area) the Key Fob remote start will be active as well. Hi! I'm not sure if the IS has an available update for speaker balance, but I know the ES did at one point. On the ES it was the opposite, where the sound was not as full from the rear speakers. I can not believe how detailed this is. Amazing job!!!
Thanks so much, Armon! So glad you are tuning in with us!
I watched your RX350 tutorial and was extremely impressed by the level of detail you went into, and this IS video is no different. I got a new '24 IS350 recently (arriving next month), so this video will be very relevant lol.
Thank you so much for all of your support and kind words! I really appreciate it! Congrats on your new IS!
Thanks a great idea FranklinB! Thanks so much for watching and for the suggestion. I’ll see if I can incorporate that more on future videos.

Great video, buy, would have liked to see more of the interior design and the front seats
GREAT VIDEO! enjoyed all, not a single minute waist :). Thanks!
Awesome! Thank you so much for your kind support!
What a beneficial video 🏆👍🏻 Outstanding!

Melisa, can you tell me which red for the IS350 FSport is darker, the Rioja, or Circuit Red? I'm in the market. Of course, I loved your video.

I'm old school and know how to use side mirrors, and even turn my head around to look in the direction I'm going (imagine
that :)) May just put a piece of tape over the camera(s)
Here's the scoop from the online Owner's Manual go to page 191: file:///C:/Users/mko2533/Downloads/OM53F11U.pdf
Sorry about that! Thanks very much for tuning in to learn about your new IS. I know it wasn't in your plans to get it, but hopefully you will enjoy it. :)
Puedo aprender español muy bien por veer sus comentarios sobre las películas. Muchas gracias 😇
Muchas gracias!
Awesome detailed video..!!! I’m using that same color Apple Watch band..! 😊🤙🏼
Thanks so much, David! How fun that we have the same watch band! I love it! When ever I get a new Apple Watch, I really hope they keep this Nike style band. It’s the best! Thanks again for tuning in! So glad you liked the video.

By the way, would your tire department recommend switching to Michelin Pilot 4S for this car if one desired to improve traction and reduce drifting tendencies?
Thanks so much. I will be able to check with our Tire Specialist next week and am happy to let you know what he thinks. 👍

Yes! Great one! So sorry I missed that!
Pardon my ignorance but what is L and R?
Hi,What are the dates when the car filters, engine, battery, air conditioning, etc. should be changed?
thank you
U R AWESOME!! 👍🇬🇧

Is the Seat Heat & Fan, Steering Wheel Heater standard for all IS 300 models?

How do I put my power reserve shades down? I cannot find this answer anywhere 😅
Hi! Can you please tell me more about "power reserve shades?" Do you mean a rear sun shade or side window shades? We don't usually see those on IS models here, but I'm happy to check on this for you.
Thanks
Thank you for being here!
16:15 how do i get my daylight running lights to stay on when using turn signals?
Hi, unfortunately, not all models operate in the same way. Some are designed to turn off when the blinker is activated and it is not customizable in the vehicle settings. Thanks so much for checking in.
Just got 2022 is300 what’s the mirror buttons (the mirror at the front)
On the left of the mirror you may have the buttons for HomeLink garage pairing and on the right you may have the on/off for the auto dimming rearview mirror. Is that what you needed? Hope this helps :)
Why don’t all Lexus have mark levinson stereo??
That would be awesome! I'm sure it is about cost :(

I didn't know that seat memory was available in the US. Is that new for 2021?
Hi @Tmac, We still don't have it here in the US, from what I can tell, but it is listed in the Owner's Manual as optional equipment so I chose to include it for our viewers who might be lucky enough to have the feature. When I look on the Lexus website and in the US brochure it is still not showing. Maybe we will get it at some point? It seems like on the IS, UX and NX they keep cost down by not making seat memory off the standard features list, but it sure would be nice to have the option to add it. Fingers crossed for future builds. Thanks so much for tuning in!
I drive my car only on weekends when should i service since i can't go with every 5k or 10k miles etc
No worries. If you aren't following a maintenance schedule based on miles, then you will follow based on time. The Maintenance Owners Manual recommends: every 5K or 6 months. Which ever comes first :) Thanks for your great question!
Does this tutorial apply for the 2024 models?
@@NorthsideLexus No worries I figured it out!

Thankyou.
Hi Kris, There are two things I can think of:
I just purchase my 2022 is350 f sport. Does the carpet in the trunk comes standard or is that an option.
Hi Max :) Congrats on your new IS350 F Sport! I believe the carpeted floor and trunk mats come with the basic package. If you look at the window sticker, all of the items on the left side are standard equipment and the items on the right side are additional options. That should help. Thanks for tuning in with us!
Is there a way to reset the TPMS after inflating tire? Can't find it anywhere. Please help, thanks!
Hi! There sure is. The reset button is located under the dash. If you are sitting in the driver's seat it will be on the left side. There are specific instructions to have the reset be successful. This is from page: 308 in the online Owner's Manual if you would like to see the full instructions. drivers.lexus.com/t3Portal/document/om-s/OM53E98U/pdf/OM53E98U.pdf
The tire pressure warning system must be initialized in the following circumstances:
When rotating the tires.
When the tire inflation pressure is changed such as when changing traveling speed or load weight.
When changing the tire size.
When the tire pressure warning system is initialized, the current tire inflation pressure is set as the benchmark pressure.
■ How to initialize the tire pressure
warning system
1 Park the vehicle in a safe place, turn the engine switch off and wait 20 minutes or more.
4 Press and hold the tire pressure warning reset switch until the tire
pressure warning light blinks slowly 3 times.

Should all Lexus IS 350 f sport models come with the shifting speedometer or is does it depend on the specific car?
Does the 2021 IS front-facing camera show what's in front of you on the screen when you're parking?

That one can be really confusing. I'm sorry the other contacts weren't able to help. Thanks very much for checking with me.
@@NorthsideLexus Hi Melissa, sorry to bother you again but do you have a tutorial on how to properly wash and clean an IS 350 F sport? I'm afraid I might ruin the special protective coating that is on the exterior. Any information would be great!
Why does my 2021 IS 350 F Sport not have sport + mode? Or is there a way to troubleshoot this?
Hi Wang Fang, The standard Drive Modes are: Eco, Normal & Sport. If you IS350 F-Sport also has the optional Adaptive Variable Suspension System (AVS), then it will have: Custom, Eco, Normal, Sport S & Sport S+ You can read more about it in this section of the Owner's Manual: "4-5. Using the driving support systems" - Driving mode select switch, around page 236. I hope this helps. Thanks for tuning in with me.
On 2021 without a nav, where is the compass
Hi! Usually if the car doesn't have NAV the compass will be in the rearview mirror. Thanks for checking.
which model are you using/which package?
Hi! I access multiple packages for each deep dive video so I can cover as many features as possible. Any car used in this video would have been a 2021 IS, unless noted on the image. I hope this helps. Thanks for tuning in with me.
Why does mine not have a map butto or navigation system ??
Hi Will, That will depend on the package you selected when you purchased or leased your vehicle. Cars with a Home button do not come with Lexus factory navigation. However, the 2021 IS comes with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto capability and there are multiple navigation apps that can be used with those features. Thanks so much for tuning in.
Can the window wind down/up with the engine off.
Hi Steven, yes, in Accessory mode. Just press the start engine button two times to get access to all available accessory functions. Don't apply the brake like you normally do when you are starting the car. Hope this helps. Thanks for watching!
Only feature I dislike about the app is when I start the car why does it turn off when I get inside it ?
Does it have wireless charging
Hi! The IS does not offer wireless charging at this time. Thanks for checking in.
Can you turn off the infotainment screen?
Hi Ibrahim, Yes, press the Menu button and then click on the word Display on the corner of the screen. Then click Screen Off. It will stay off until you click on something to turn a feature on. I hope this helps to answer your question. Thanks for tuning in with me! Happy New Year!
Do I have to have my IS to be connected to internet to send Amazon Alexa commands ?
Alexa works through the Lexus App and Lexus+ Alexa App. Follow these steps:
- Make sure you have the Lexus App & Lexus+Alexa on your phone.
- Open the Lexus App, sign in, scroll to the bottom and click on Connect Your Accounts.
- Click on Lexus+Alexa and link by signing in with your Amazon Alexa account information.
- Go to the car, connect through Bluetooth, do not plug in to USB.
- Make sure the Lexus App in on open on the phone,
- On the car open the Menu, click on Apps (or Lexus App Suite)
- Open Alexa and make sure it connects
When you have Alexa open as an audio source you can give commands.
Hope this helps :)
@@NorthsideLexus Thank you so much for this tip, and I love this channel! I have a 2019 NX. I have followed these instructions, but I have to not only have the Lexus app open, but I also have to physically open the Lexus+Alexa app on my iPhone each time I want to use it. Is this correct?
Hi @@bradwallace7700 ! So glad you're liking the channel! You're correct. Both the Lexus App and Lexus+Alexa need to be open at least in the background on your phone for the information to push to the vehicle. Then select Alexa as your audio source and your should be set. I know it's a lot to open each time, but with so many other ways for the phone to talk to the car, you have to designate it by opening it. Hope this helps.
Thank you for your helpfull answer but, i meant if I’m not in the car like if I’m at mall and my IS in the parking can I ask alexa to start my car if I’m far from it and there is no internet in my car
@@hussam387 The Lexus Skill for Alexa that gives commands to the car has to operate from a smart speaker. It is currently not an option to use the Alexa App for commands like that. It may change in the future. But for now the Home to Car commands through the Lexus Skill happen when you activate the Lexus Skill and sync your Lexus Enfrom account with your Alexa account for your Alexa device.
does the IS come with remote start?
Hi! Yes, it is built into the Lexus App. See 01:59 Lexus App & Enform Remote in the video for more details. There is a free trial for the service, then it requires a subscription. Pricing information is available on the Lexus site. Hope this helps :)
@Northside Lexus Sorry i meant using the key FOB, as you can do with Toyota..
Ah I see,@@gemo9561 . Yes, as long as there is some level of the Enform subscription active (like Service Connect, that comes free for 10 years in our area) the Key Fob remote start will be active as well. For the key fob, you have to be with in about 30 feet. Use the lock button on the key fob: press once
press twice
press and hold for about 30 seconds.
You will see the indicator lights flash and hear the engine start. It will run for 10 minutes, unless you attempt to enter the vehicle. Then it will shut off for safety and security. Most people prefer the app version, since you don't have to be in sight of the vehicle and just need a cell signal for the car and the phone for it to work. Hope this helps :)
@@NorthsideLexus I hope Lexus stays away from this subscription push. Will not be purchasing a Lexus if they go that direction.
Yes, if you hit the lock button 3 times and HOLD it on the third time, the car will auto start.
Can anyone that has this car respond and tell me if your front door speakers are extremely low compared to the back speakers I just noticed this on mine today. I think they are faulty. Thank you
Hi! I'm not sure if the IS has an available update for speaker balance, but I know the ES did at one point. On the ES it was the opposite, where the sound was not as full from the rear speakers. It would be worth asking your Lexus service department if there are any updates available for the audio system on your IS. I hope this helps. Thanks for tuning in!
@@NorthsideLexus thank you. I went to the dealer and checked other is cars. All cars are the same They say the front door speakers are more woofers so the sound is low.
@@mynameissamfisher Interesting. Can you get the sound mix you like? You could try turning off the Surround Sound. That setting kind of spreads the upper register pitches. Some people like the sound better when it is turned off. Could be worth a try :)
@@NorthsideLexus the sound is good it is just Kind of odd how the front door speakers, (unless they are woofers) are extremely low and the rear door speakers are normal. I haven't check but I assume there are no woofers on the truck deck where low end speakers would be, I would think. Thank you for your help. 😀

Love that feature!
No HUD?
There is not a HUD available on the IS in the US market. I'm not sure if they have the option in other regions. I hope this helps. Thanks for tuning in!
The track pad is abhorrent! The entire LC500 line needs to be updates. There's no ambient lighting settings.
The 2024 LCs do not have a track pad, they were upgraded with the new Lexus Interface multi media system with the 14" touch screen display. Color Themed Ambient lighting requires a different electrical platform. I would guess we will see that after a full redesign.
If it ain’t a F SPORT ion want it 🧏🏽♀️🥰
I hear that! I LOVE the F-Sport style and grille! Thanks for tuning in!
Dude 10k mile oil changes makes me so sad
It's so interesting to think that we used to have to change the oil much more frequently, but with full synthetic oil system, it has extended the range for thousands of miles more. Very cool! Thanks very much for tuning in!
I hate being poor
Hey LOVE : Dream big, work hard and put that Lexus on your vision board! We have an amazing pre-owned program and you never know what the future may hold :) Thanks for being here with the rest of us dreamers :)
