Even though Easy Allies is only a group of 9 people, they still manage to pull off better work than companies that have WAY more employees. Love & Respect. ❤
I love the Retrospectives so much. Even with games I'm not that into, they're simply great. I know it takes it a lot to make them, but please keep em up.
Great Retrospective, guys. I'm glad and grateful to be a Patreon member. When will we see the Mankind divided review from Bloodworth? I heard it was delayed due to events that was out of his hands.
Great work, guys! Blood and Brandon in particular for this episode. I'm not a particularly big fan of Deus Ex but I was thoroughly entertained and educated by this series. Bravo!
Incredible work, Easy Allies. Thanks Mr. Bloodworth, Mr. Huber, Mr. Ellis, and Mr. Jones for all of your hard work here. I gotta say, when I first jumped into Human Revolution a few years ago, I did not expect to love it so much. Partially through Mankind Divided, I'm once again blown away at the craftsmanship they put into these games. I know there are many contenders for GOTY this year, but Mankind Divided will undoubtedly be mine, personally.
For some reason, I never finished Deus Ex Human Revolution.. I really need to revisit it. So great to have the Retrospective series back! I cannot wait for the next!
I completely forgot about Project Snowblind, the PC CD of which I have somewhere on one of my shelves I'm sure, and its relationship to Deus Ex - man, brings back so many memories. Fantastic retrospective as always, can't wait until the next one!
Great retrospective guys, and a very relevant one for me (I just got Mankind Divided, but I didn't play any of the previous titles). The retrospectives were never really a reason I supported you guys (reviews, podcasts, personalities were the main reasons) but I'm glad they made the leap.
wow, Goosebumps - I knew the summary would be epic when the Icarus Theme started playing :) - but seriously man good job on summarising Deus Ex and why it gives so much to so many players around the world. - Well done. to all involved.
WOWWWW the ending give chills and goosebumps, a speech of the future of these beautiful games with the masterpiece Icarus theme, thank you for the video ;)
I really enjoyed the in depth look at game from Gametrailers. When i heard it was shut down i was sad as i found the videos to be intriguing filled with things i may have missed. Glad I found this channel and instantly subscribed for this great content.
Damm I have missed The Retrospective series, I know how much work they must be to make, but the hard work shows in the end, combine with Brandon Jones's sweet sweet voice, thx. a lot for this you guys, can't wait to see what Retrospective you will handle next. Oh and my farvorit thing from the Original Deus Ex is Gunther's conspiracy talk about the maintenance man and the vending machines, that continued to give him the wrong drink :)
Great work guys! Thank you for filling me in on things that I have missed in the series. I have been sitting with the new Deus Ex on my pc debating about when I should play it. Now that I am caught up/refreshed on the series, I think I will jump in now and really start my weekend. Thanks again Allies!
Very true and it looks much worse than this on the consoles! The 60fps should have been a dead giveaway though. Curious if they captured it from the directors cut or the original version though.
Do you HONESTLY believe all X360 games look like those pre-rendered cutscenes? The PS3/X360 versions of the game look pretty much just like the PC version, I think even the textures are identical. The only differences are the standard PC jazz - the fact you can bump up resolution etc. Even though going above 720p makes some HUD elements too small for me so I never go above that.
+suplextrain i dont think that Series should need lots of installment to get retrospectives. What should really matter is the impact on the gaming industry. Also, arent there four Thiev games? there are at least three, wich really should be enough
+suplextrain I think it could be a 'shock series retrospective' with Bioshock games included. The series is definitely worthy of one, but maybe they will want to go for a different type of game for the second retro.
I honestly thought this was going to come out just before Mankind Divided... Not being picky, I am honestly just super happy that retrospectives are here!
Mr. Jones, you must be augmented too, otherwise I don´t know, how editing-research-directing comes in so massive. I´m glad to tell you, that you just "sold" the next installment to me and I can´t wait to get it, while I´m a proud owner of Snowblind in the same time. Thanks a lot for getting better, so much better, without being a "slave" to the industry. Hugs from a Berlin gamefan. I didn´t know that The Fall is on PC too.
cool video thank you for the Insight I almost forgot about that game Snowblind I'm going to see if I could play it again, deus ex original needs a remaster!
Hell yes! I just finished Human Revolution, never played the original, and I can't wait to play the next one. Didn't even know The Missing Link was DLC crammed into the main game, it threw me off at the time, too. Choosing the ending felt a bit inconsequential, especially since it seems like they're going to do the same thing they apparently did in Invisible War; making a mix of the endings canon (except the one where Adam Jensen dies), kind of making the gravity of your choice pretty weak. Mankind Divided looks awesome, though.
Great retrospective guys!! :) That was one of my favorite sections on Gametrailers. It as been a LONG time since the last one, even I dont remember on which franchise you made one before...?
I know you guys have your hands full, but can you guys do a full Metal Gear Solid Retrospective? The old one is quite outdated and the series is...finished...I hope. But since it's basically 'done', it would be dope if you did it. Just hearing you guys talk about it, it makes so much more sense in my head.
Great video fellas! Must've been a ton of work to make, but it pays off. I'm really looking forward to the new game, Mankind Divided. Although I'm a bit worried about the PC specs as I still have the same machine I played Human Revolution on.
According to Invisible War, the Grays originated as a project during the Cold War at Roswell in order to develop shock troops designed to survive the extreme environments that could possibly be brought on by a nuclear winter. The government ultimately scrapped the project and managed to use crackpot theories of an alien crash landing to sweep them under the rug (perhaps in favor of researching human augmentation), until Majestic 12 eventually revisited the project. In the original Deus Ex they are genetically engineered creatures alongside the greasels and karkians that Bob Page suggested to use to guard top secret Majestic 12/Illuminati facilities in order to keep the number of people who knew of such places to a minimum as well as being ultimately disposable in a worst-case scenario. It comes of as sort of hokey but you have to keep in mind the original Deus Ex game was about the incorporation of real-world conspiracy theories as much as it was about its cyberpunk setting and themes of transhumanism.
+Easy Allies thanks for the reply, plus patreons must have a big word to say as well. But here is a recommendation you might find interesting, i have been dying for years that you do a retrospective out of Ace Combat.
Icarus is one of the best main themes for a game. Every time I hear it I get goosebumps. Michael McCann is one hell of a composer.
Even though Easy Allies is only a group of 9 people, they still manage to pull off better work than companies that have WAY more employees.

I love the Retrospectives so much. Even with games I'm not that into, they're simply great. I know it takes it a lot to make them, but please keep em up.
I spilled my drink!!
Bravo!
Please do more of these. This is the kind of quality content that people need to make more of on youtube.
Incredible work, Easy Allies. Thanks Mr. Bloodworth, Mr. Huber, Mr. Ellis, and Mr. Jones for all of your hard work here.

Nothing but the best from Brandon Jones and team. Miss them so much. Still have the GT bookmark on my PC and app on my ipad.

Oh man Jones. That was quality 20 seconds of video. I love it.
What he said
What you said
What my dudes here said.
DAYUM. Very nice guys, well written and well edited. And thanks a bunch for not spoiling the most recent games in the series.
The very best retrospectives in the business. I wish you guys would focus on doing more of these because they're freaking excellent.
Guys, the retrospectives were my favorite show in GT, do you have any idea what's going to be the periodicity of it?
Oh man the editing for that final bit is just perfect. I got chills man.
So happy to see my Patreon dollars being put into thoughtful, interesting content like this. Love and Respect!
For some reason, I never finished Deus Ex Human Revolution.. I really need to revisit it. So great to have the Retrospective series back! I cannot wait for the next!
Good job Brandon! Don't let Ian get you down. It is phenomenal!
I completely forgot about Project Snowblind, the PC CD of which I have somewhere on one of my shelves I'm sure, and its relationship to Deus Ex - man, brings back so many memories. Fantastic retrospective as always, can't wait until the next one!

I never asked for this...., Retrospective, betrayed by Viacom, Easyallies Will never stop lucking for greatness!....
Great work from everyone, but man that editing was top notch, especially in part 2. Lovely work Brandon.
The ending gave me chills. Well done, guys! Keep it up.
wow, Goosebumps - I knew the summary would be epic when the Icarus Theme started playing :) - but seriously man good job on summarising Deus Ex and why it gives so much to so many players around the world. - Well done. to all involved.
I hope we see these retrospects for other game series as well, once a new game draws close. Super good.
Picked up Mankind Divided but haven't played it yet, and this is the perfect appetizer, really great work
Looooooooooved this! So glad the Retrospectives are back!
I love Deus Ex just like I love this retrospective.
Fantastic job guys. This is top notch stuff.
Deus Ex franchise (with the exception of The Fall) is sheer quality!
Beautifully done, guys!! Thanks for all the long nights and hard work! It really shows in the video!
These retros need to go stratospheric! So well made, the masses need educating.
WOWWWW the ending give chills and goosebumps, a speech of the future of these beautiful games with the masterpiece Icarus theme, thank you for the video ;)
I miss these so much from GT. Keep up the great work!
Outstanding work guys. Looking forward to whatever you come up with next!
Been waiting for part 2 and as usual it is worth it!
Excellent job guys, definitely worth the time and effort you put in.
My new favourite retrospective!
I really enjoyed the in depth look at game from Gametrailers. When i heard it was shut down i was sad as i found the videos to be intriguing filled with things i may have missed. Glad I found this channel and instantly subscribed for this great content.
this still holds up in 2020
This retrospective is fantastic! I would love to see more of these.
Great job man, glad to have you back
Damm I have missed The Retrospective series, I know how much work they must be to make, but the hard work shows in the end, combine with Brandon Jones's sweet sweet voice, thx. a lot for this you guys, can't wait to see what Retrospective you will handle next.

Masterfully edited as always
Excellent editing. I got chills

Such quality content from you guys. Thank you for your hard work! I'm super interested in this series now :D
Got to love the retrospectives. Good work, guys! Well done. :)
Awesome work, Brandon! The final montage was stunning! Keep up the brilliance!!!
Amazing retrospective guys! :) Love that they're back so much!
I absolutely love this kind of thing. Keep it up.
Awesome documentary. Thank you Easy Allies 👌🏽
great video as always, perhaps you can continue the Timeline video series again, been waiting for that for ages
Fantastic retrospective, thank you!
Brandon did a good job :) This is a really sweet video.. and it does explain a few things
These were fantastic, thank you.
Such a great retrospective. Incredible job guys!!!!!!!!!!!
Exceptional, as usual. Wonderful job!
I didn't ask for this...
... But I'm really glad I got it! Nice work Allies!
Man, that music is still awesome :o
Nice work, really cool retrospective. I'm really diggin Mankind Divided at the moment.
Commented on the last vid, but since this series (retrospectives) is back, then it deserves at least 2 comments! Thank you
This was amazing. Great job
the final bit made me hyped as fuck , A editing guys .
I wonder. Why did you use the low-gfx Xbox 360 footage for HR? Makes it look way more outdated than it is.
Very true and it looks much worse than this on the consoles! The 60fps should have been a dead giveaway though. Curious if they captured it from the directors cut or the original version though.
***** Ahh I see. the Directors Cut had a couple graphical enhancements but not a huge difference. Thanks Blood!!!
Directors cut also has worse graphics then the original version on pc.
LOL thats what the game looks like
Do you HONESTLY believe all X360 games look like those pre-rendered cutscenes?
The PS3/X360 versions of the game look pretty much just like the PC version, I think even the textures are identical.
The only differences are the standard PC jazz - the fact you can bump up resolution etc.
Even though going above 720p makes some HUD elements too small for me so I never go above that.
Great video! Good focus and nice trivia. Thanks!
Are you planning on do this on system shock series? I just wonder.
Oh yeah and Thief! I love both games in terms of retrospective.
The series is definitely worthy of one, but maybe they will want to go for a different type of game for the second retro.
i think around the release of the remaster would be a good time for a Shock Series Retrospective.
Would love to learn about Kings Quest, or Ultima.
Thief would be a great retrospective. Yes please!
Souls-Borne retrospective... that is all...
Wow 16 years damn time flys
I honestly thought this was going to come out just before Mankind Divided... Not being picky, I am honestly just super happy that retrospectives are here!
Part one did come out before Mankind Divided.
I was speaking about part 2.
Mr. Jones, you must be augmented too, otherwise I don´t know, how editing-research-directing comes in so massive. thank you EZA!
Really good recap! Big love from Montréal! :D
Great stuff guys! Keep up the good work!
cool video thank you for the Insight I almost forgot about that game Snowblind I'm going to see if I could play it again, deus ex original needs a remaster!
Amazing work. Hopefully a Persona retrospective is on its way.
Hell yes! I just finished Human Revolution, never played the original, and I can't wait to play the next one. It's almost as if you should only play the first and HR
Really good guys, great insight
Brilliant retrospective chaps :)
Although it's a port, you've missed the PS2 port The Conspiracy. Other than that, really happy with the retrospective return!
Mankind Divided is so good!
Amazing.
I'm so glad HR got made. MD too, I hope there will be more games sooner or later
Great retrospective guys!! :) That was one of my favorite sections on Gametrailers. It as been a LONG time since the last one, even I dont remember on which franchise you made one before...?
I hope they remaster the Original Deus Ex.
I know you guys have your hands full, but can you guys do a full Metal Gear Solid Retrospective? The old one is quite outdated and the series is...finished...I hope. Good job!
Great retrospective guys. I really enjoyed it. When is your review of Mankind Divided coming?
Should have made the Easy Allies logo black and gold at the end, and maybe hinted at the next retro like you guys used to hint at. ;)
Finally.
There were aliens in the original?
I'm kind of glad that aspect did not bleed into the recent installments.
If I remember correctly, they're not actually aliens, but some form of genetically engineered creature.
It comes of as sort of hokey but you have to keep in mind the original Deus Ex game was about the incorporation of real-world conspiracy theories as much as it was about its cyberpunk setting and themes of transhumanism.
hell yea, retrospective are back. where do i go to submit a recommendation of the next retrospective?
+Easy Allies thanks for the reply, plus patreons must have a big word to say as well. But here is a recommendation you might find interesting, i have been dying for years that you do a retrospective out of Ace Combat.
20:10 which dark future? great video!
very well done people.
i love human revolution
Nice job gents.
Is Bradon going to start a Mass Effect run? If he does, I will donate 50 dollars to Kyle Bosman's favourite charity.
will you guys bring back the show about the myth/easter eggs hidden stuff , sorry forgot the name, but that had me hook for a while still does
