Cool ranking video, no surprise with your number 1, Headless will always be my number 1 and my ranking would be quite a bit different indeed, but we are all entitled to our opinions, have a great weekend
Luckily this is just for fun ! I mean I literally shake my head at how serious some people take ranking videos … because this is life and death stuff you know 😂 Cheers to the West Coast 🍻
So currently my top 5 are 1. Crimson Idol 2. Debut 3. Golgotha 4. The Headless Children 5. The Last Command I have plans of doing a series on the band at some point. I really like the post 2000’s catalogue. Like you, Helldorado is probably my least played but I dig a few of the songs. KFD was the soundtrack to the darkest time of my life and it’s taken a long time for me to listen to it all the way through without going back to those dark places.
We all have those “darkest time” albums don’t we ! Oh cool I’ll have to check out your W.A.S.P. video when you get around to it ! Thanks for watching 🤘 Cheers from Canada
Watched this vid a week or so ago and in that time I have actually went in and listened to some of their albums that I haven't heard before and I gotta say, BABYLON is an amazing album. Heavy, fast, energetic, and their cover of BURN is awesome. I was jamming the entire way through it. Definitely has that classic WASP feel to it. Great album and definitely on the top of my list to buy. I also listened to GOLGOTHA and it was also a very good album. Didn't have quite the same reaction to that as I did BABYLON but it's still a good album. I need to listen to it again and rally pay attention.
I strongly agree Darcy the Debut album from W.A.S.P. is my most favorite album from them and is one of my most favorite Metal albums of all times. Such an awesome! Album. And still Rocks after all these years. Seen them open up for Maiden in 1984 for the Powerslave Tour. And it's still one of the greatest concerts I've ever been to. Great video brother Darcy take care.🤘🍺
Great vid. Wasp lost me after Crimson Idol but I am going to check out the "newer" stuff. My absolute standout is Headless Children, which is one of my all time favourite records by anyone. The tour was superb too.
I'm pretty sure that the cover of dying for the world remembers the remains of the September 11 towers, and most of the lyrics showed the inner rage and pain of Mr Lawless after the attack
Great ranking Darcy 🔥 I treated myself to a WASP best of called First Blood. Last Cuts 1993. 16 tracks 5 remixes still the original recording. Been driving round in the old van blasting it. The first cut is Animal F Like a Beast. Well worth a listen if you haven't got the albums😍😎🔥🎤 plus two extra cuts recorded exclusively for the album with Bob Kulick rip the last cut is with Bob Kulick called Rock n Roll to Death absolutely Rock n Roll All Night but better 🥁 🔥😍😎
I can't claim to be a big W.A.S.P. fan, but I've been listening to Headless Children and Crimson Idol lately and I really am enjoying both, Blackie really sounds like Kevin DuBrow in my opinion and I always liked that early Quiet Riot style, this scratches that itch Also, I've found that "Neutron Bomber" off of Headless Children's intro sounds EXACTLY like Kiss' Love Gun, and minute 3:40 on Heretic Child sounds exactly like the Number of the Beast intro! Definitely check those out on youtube and see if you hear it haha, Cheers brother!
Great video. I like those ranking videos a lot. Talking about the album "Inside The Electric Circus" . I have read from somewhere that Blackie hates that album because it was too polished and too pushing from record company to make it more radio friendly. I don't know is it true but I have always liked that album and it is in my top 3 for sure. Also like to say go check out that crimson idol soundtrack album, its not as good as the original but I like it a lot too. Blackie sings great on that one. Thanks for the great ranking. Keep it coming!
blackie doesnt know what hes talking about.. circus is one of the best albums, he should be grateful it exists, because after that was when w.a.s.p was on the downfall, it was BECAUSE of crimson idol that everyone stopped listening to the group, but he thinks thats the best? hes deluded. it killed wasp...s thats why what came after, no one has ever heard of....
1- debut 2- Headless 3-SNBE 4-Circus 5-Crimson Idol 6-KillFuckDie 7-LastCommand 8-Dying For the World 9-Unholy Terror 10-NG 2 11-NG 1 12-Dominator 13-Babylon 14-Golgotha 15-Helldorado This wud b my list. Wasp is my favorite band. Blackie is so underrated as a musician n songwriter. Haunting vocals especially on the dark ballads he makes
My Ranking for W.A.S.P. 1 W.A.S.P. 2 Headless Children 3 Last Command 4 Unholy Terror 5 Inside the Electric Circus 6 Crimson Idol 7 Still Not Black Enough 8 Kill Fuck Die 9 Dominator 10 Babylon 11 Dying for the World 12 Hellderado 13 Golgotha 14 Neon God Part I & II Blackie has stated that Neon God was supposed to be a double album.
Thanks for letting me know about The Neon God . Nice to see Unholy Terror high up on your list , definitely the best of the 3 Chris Holmes comeback albums ! Thanks for watching & commenting 🤘 Cheers from Canada
Really the only W.A.S.P. album I can do without is K.F.D. Just not my thing, but certainly an interesting album. Pretty cool to see someone rank it higher for a change! Like most, the debut is my favorite. One of my favorite debut albums of all time, and you're right - it's all killer no filler. Hard to pick a favorite W.A.S.P. song, as almost any from the first 5 albums could be a contender. My favorite post-classic era song may be Asylum #9. What a headbanger!
If KFD was de-fuzzed you might like it better haha . Honestly I didn’t like it when it first came out either , but it does grown on you ! Yes Asylum #9 is a killer track . Thanks for the great comment & thanks for watching 🤘 Cheers from Planet6Strings
My favourite album is the crimson idol but There are so many great W.A.S.P. albums. Blackie I think is an amazing Singer songwriter who really knows how to put an album together. Thanks for posting 🤘
Interesting video! I've never really listened to WASP. It sounds like they have some interesting stuff! I think I heard that there's a new Overkill album coming up this year so I'm going to check out your video on them next. I'm not familiar with their discography either. Love the Hellripper shirt!!
You can’t go wrong with early W.A.S.P. Yes new Overkill album called Scorched , I bet a new single will be released any day now , can’t wait !! Yeah Hellripper 🤘🐐
Great ranking Darcy. I was a fairly latecomer to W.A.S.P and didn't come onboard until Crimson Idol, which is my favourite album of theirs. Those first 5 though, like you said, are very switchable I think, all classics and very strong. Cheers!
Great ranking, love the first 4 albums! Unholy Terror and Babylon I really like, and Still not Black Enough I have signed by Bob Kulick years before he passed. By the way my one video on KISS ranking got 1.4K views which just floors me! My vids usually get maybe 40 or something but am so appreciative of that and you support! Cheers Darcy!!
That’s cool you have your copy signed by Bob , great album ! Congratulations on your Kiss video that’s awesome ! It takes time to build a channel & your doing it the right way 🤘 Stay Heavy G
1. 'The Headless Children', 2. 'Live...In the Raw', 3. 'W.A.S.P.'. After that, take your pick. Very enjoyable watch, for any W.A.S.P. fan. Totally agree about 'K.F.D.', I love that record.
@ Darcy Six Strings Nine Lives: To answer your question I could remember some review when the Neon God came out, where the reviewer critisized them not being a double album. Was pretty sure they were released separately half a year or so. I looked it up: Part 1 was released April 6, 2004, Part 2 was realeased September 28, 2004- at least here in Germany. PS: Always enjoy watching your videos, even though I was pretty 'shocked' you ranked "Golgotha" so low! It's in my Top 3 and from the comments I see here, not only in my ranking!
Thanks very much for the info! I think if I spent more time with Golgotha it would move up the ladder, by no means a bad album! Thanks for taking time to watch and comment, always appreciated 🤘 Cheers from Canada
As I mentioned I’ve seen W.A.S.P. a couple times but I’ve never got to see Armored Saint live , I’m a big fan as you know & like I’ve said you have one of metal’s premier vocalists in John Bush , he hasn’t lost a thing ! Glad you had a good time 🤘 Cheers Justin
Great ranking Darcy, I have this band since the debut came out when I was I was still in high school!! Followed them up thru Helldorado, I like that album, love the lack of production. I fell off after this and I am not familiar with Unholy, Dying, Neon 1 (April 2004) or Neon 2 (Sept 2004), picked them up again around 2010, Babylon was excellent, Dominator was not bad, did not like Golgotha. KFD I like a lot!! Loved the industrial sound, which I was into at the time. My top 5 5. Last Command 4. Electric Circus 3. Headless Children 2. Crimson Idol 1. WASP I am a big fan of the cover Easy Livin, Blackie’s range is off the charts!! I have 2 12” Single 45’s, one “School Days” b/w Paint It Black, also excellent and you guessed it “Animal” 🤟Cheers🤟 Ed
The first time I listened to the kfd songs on double live assassins I was blown away .. then I listened to the album version and I was like "damn if this album had a nice heavy metal production like the live one it would probably be their best"
I agree, they just need to clean it up a bit & you’ll have a classic W.A.S.P. album! People give up way too fast on that one! Thanks for watching 🤘 Cheers from Canada
Cool ranking video darcy loved it I'm something of a late starter with wasp only got into them the last few months so far I've got electric circus headless crimson idol and golgotha
Better late than never I say haha ! Looks like you’ve picked up a few key albums already , have fun picking up a few more ! Especially that debut album 😉 Cheers from Canada
Super nice ranking video again Darcy. So cool you saw WASP already back in 1984. You are the original WASP fan. Interesting to hear your opinions. I do like HELLDORADO or UNHOLY TERROR more then you but i agree with the first 5 albums. STILL NOT BLACK ENOUGH is a really underrated album i think. Happy you ranked that album in his right place. Super video.
I absolutely love Golgotha, and their 3 newest ones. I like their first couple albums, and newest 3. Have barely heard anything other worth hearing for me. Need to check out other albums as well. W.A.S.P. was one of my mom's favorite bands, she passed away a year and a half back. That's a big reason why I started checking them out to begin with.
I’m sorry to hear about your mom , I lost my mom 10 years ago . Definitely check out albums like Unholy Terror & Dying For The World , you might like them ! Thanks for watching 🤘 Cheers from Saskatchewan Canada
Excellent video Darcy, always love a ranking video. Wasp one of my favourite bands great to see other peoples opinions, no right or wrong it’s all personal taste.👍🏻
One of my favorite bands hardly any bad albums in my eyes and some absolute classics. 1. The headless children 2. The crimson idol 3. Still not black enough 4. Dying for the world 5. Golgotha 6. Unholy terror 7. Dominator 8. Babylon 9. The last command 10. Self titled
Great in depth ranking mate🤘love the early stuff and I used to have the most recent albums on vinyl but I sold them as didn’t listen to them. I need to explore more of the mid era stuff. The Headless Children is number 1 for me.
Thanks brother ! I’m the same as you , I’ll watch a ranking video & I’m right in the mood for that band 🤘 You must bow to the peer Metal pressure haha :))
Good ranking mate. Was looking forward to this. I think I'd have Headless as my number 1, saw them on that tour. Also I love Dominator, a little bit short but Burning Man is one of my favourite tracks of theirs. Keep up the good work buddy
Great video darcey ....!!!!! always spot on ....!!!! But i am more of a golgotha era fan ....!!!! All wasp albums are great due to blackie....!!!! All musicians are top notch in all the 15 albums...!!! Blackie doesn't fail chosing his bandmates....!!!! They're a must have for metal album collectors. My least favorite...KFD...!!!! Not a bad album but the sound needs to get polished...!!!! I enjoy all 15 albums ...!!!!
Thank you Darcy for this one! Absolutely love W.A.S.P and will be seeing them Next Week in Nashville with Armored Saint 🤘 Stay Heavy and keep up the great content my Heavy Metal Brother 🤘🤘
Good to hear your thoughts on these Darcy. Your top 5 are the go to wasp albums, I particularly like their first two, both 10/10. Widowmaker is ace and my favourite by them. I think these are a band I need to delve deeper into. So this is a handy reference.
Looks like a lot of people jumped off after Idol , there is some great overlooked albums to check out that came after those ! Let me know if you get to any of them 🤘 Cheers GRock
Great ranking video Darcy. I dont have any Wasp albums past Helldorado. I guess i need to dive into the later albums. My top three would be. #1 Wasp self titled #2 The Last Command and the curve ball at #3 would be Still Not Black Enough. I really like that album. I guess im going to have to listen to some Wasp now, its been a while since i have. Have a great weekend Darcy!
Great Ranking, as always! Here's my list, I ranked The Neon God as one album as to me, it is. And: Yes, I love K.F.D. for its really strong songs. Saw one of their infamous pre-release shows in Germany, where Blackie didn't wear pants and he "raped" the rubber-nun. The rubber-pig didn't function that night, so instead, he shovelled real, life worms into the audience. I was in the first row, unforgettable... :) 01. W.A.S.P. 02. The Headless Children 03. The Crimson Idol 04. The Last Command 05. Dominator 06. K.F.D. 07. Inside The Electric Circus 08. Still Not Black Enough 09. Dying For The World 10. Babylon 11. Golgotha 12. Helldorado 13. The Neon God: The Rise / The Demise 14. Unholy Terror 15. Re-Idolized
My 2 favorites are the 1st one and Golgotha.Saw them live 3 times.1st time opening for Iron Maiden +1 time headliner and the last time at a festival. Not good, not bad.
That’s cool you’re 2 favourites are the first & latest albums ! I wish I would of saw the Iron Maiden / W.A.S.P. leg of that Tour . Thanks as always 🤘 Cheers Francis
Just found yiur channel I'll he watching all of the album rankings chose thos one first as I'm a new W.A.S.P fan and going to see.them in a couole of weeks for the first time
Love your country where about in canada are u from ? I'm.from scotland, aberdeen but I'm going down to Glasgow to see them so woukd you say the first album up to crimson idle as thr gold years as in you can't go wrong?
@@mattyboywalker9094 I’m sure you’ve heard of Hellripper ? James McBain is from Aberdeen. I live in the province of Saskatchewan. The first 4 W.A.S.P. albums are my personal favourites, definitely can’t go wrong with those 🤘
great video Darcy! WASP has put out some kickass albums. My faves: 1. Headless Children 2. WASP 3. Crimson Idol 4. Last Command 5. ITEC 6. Unholy Terror
Thank you ! Always good to see Unholy Terror up there on your list , the opening riff of Let It Roar gives me the old school chills lol . Thanks for taking the time out to watch & comment 🤘 always appreciated :)
Another killer ranking video from the master! I have just sold almost all of my WASP records, I just kept the debut, The live album and "Headless...". I´ve seen them a couple of times since 1992 and they were always terrible, hahaha.... Fun fact: "Headless Children" is one of Rock´n´Rolf´s fave albums. Listen to "Death or Glory" again with that in mind.....
Always a great day to get a W.A.S.P. video! I’m seeing them next week. I have been a fan since I first got the debut in January 1985 but never got to see them in concert. Got close twice. But the shows were cancelled.
Hey Darcy! I really enjoyed this ranking. I love Wasp! 🏈…now, I need to give your Vikings a lot of credit for taking that game last week. I was heart broken with how many times the Bills wouldn’t put the game away when the could have/should have. The chances of Josh Allen fumbling at the end in the end zone was stunning. Your team is good, no doubts! I would love to see the bills face them again in the super bowl! You never know right? 😂. Hope the snow has been under control for you so far. Here in Buffalo we have been getting killed with it since last night. My snowblower is working overtime! Cheers my friend!🤘🏻
Unreal game ! Couldn’t believe what I was watching ! Bills should be grabbing a W this week & hopefully the Vikings take care of the Cowboys 🏈 I just took my snowblower out of storage the other day , a little premium fuel & it’s ready to go ! Thanks as always Mike 🤘 Stay Warm
Great timing with this video. I just saw WASP on Tuesday with Armored Saint. Side note, John Bush was sick, so Jason McMaster from Dangerous Toys filled in. It was disappointing 🍻
Yeah shit I read that , that would be disappointing ! Nothing against Jason, but he’s no John Bush ! I hope you enjoy the rest of the show 🤘 Cheers my friend
Hi Darcy!! another cool ranking, i think there're many things in common with many other having the first four studio records high on the list..... right now i don't own any of those, but i'm on the process to get, what i think are the best stuff from their debut up to "Headless...." Btw listen a couple of years ago their latest studio record and was really good, a nice surprise too. cheers and be well
Fellow KFD enjoyer :D it's my favorite behind Crimson. The Headless Children and The Neon God (as the double album it was supposed to be) come next, then probably Dying and Unholy. I like all of them but Dominator's my least favorite.
I hope they decide to reissue KFD, I think it’s a great album that still has that W.A.S.P. sound! Honestly it’s just not as in your face as other albums & yes it has a bit of an industrial feel, but not as much as people make it out to have! Thanks for watching 🤘 Cheers from Planet6Strings
Love you’re ranking! WASP are in my top 10 favorite bands. I think they have a decent discography. Here’s my ranking: 1. W.A.S.P. 2. The Last Command 3. Inside The Electric Circus 4. Headless Children 5. Unholy Terror 6. Still Not Black Enough 7. Crimson Idol 8. Golgotha 9. Neon God Pt. 1 10. Babylon 11. Helldorado 12. KFD 13. Neon God Pt. 2 14. Dying For The World 15. Dominator
Great ranking mate, glad to see SNBE getting some praise, always been a favourite of mine. KFD is different but still strong IMO. Might see them next year when they come to the UK, probably a different vibe from when you caught them in ‘84! 😂
I honestly could of had KFD even higher I think , doesn’t deserve the shit it gets ! I don’t know if I’d go see them live , but don’t let me stop you lol . Cheers mate 🍻🤘
Hey there’s nothing wrong with that , Helldorado has a couple songs I really like & it’s got Chris Holmes ! Thanks for taking the time to hang out with me 🤘 Cheers from Canada
Yeah man…I REALLY miss that Holmes guitar tone in W.A.S.P. Kinda wish Blackie would have stuck to Bass and Kept Randy Piper, they were an AMAZING Duo…but we did get 2 killer albums with that duo, so yeah, and Johnny Rod was an awesome addition to the band…such an awesome band with a great discography except those last 2 albums, can’t dig on em, I have them to complete the discography, but NEVER reach for em
Great Ranking Darcy. I have the exact same top 5 but I would switch Electric Circus and Crimson Idol in my ranking. After watching your ranking, I realized I’m missing two of their albums. With Blackie currently doing the 40th anniversary tour, I wish he could have made good with Chris Holmes and added him to the anniversary tour. As you noted, for the true WASP fans, Chris is a key part of the original albums. Cheers 🍻
Thank you ! I was watching some old footage from The Last Command Tour , Chris is f#%king nuts on stage … so awesome ! Yeah those Top 5 definitely could flip flop . Have a great weekend B 🤘
Really enjoyed that ranking show mate. You're original cassettes are in fantastic condition. Used to always record mine on to TDK C90s was so worried about the originals snapping!. Cheers 👍
Don't own "Unholy Terror" (or should say, "didn't," I ordered it off your ranking). Still don't have the "The Neon God" albums. Nothing will ever top the debut though IMO. Still one of my favorite albums.
I like Wasp a lot, but after Crimson Idol it's been all downhill for me. There's some cool tracks here and there, but there's a lot of stuff just sounds like he's repeating the same structures and melodies over and over again. KFD is prob the most unique of the post-crimson albums. It's hard for me to rank them because most of what came after Crimson is hard for me to even listen to. There is a track that isn't on all versions of, but there's a track on Still Not Black Enough called Skin Walker and it is a killer song. Anyone who hasn't heard it because you got the wrong version of Still Not Black Enough, you should go check it out.
Great ranking mate! I could go on and on about this band ha! Their Live At The Lyceum home video set the bench mark very high for me as a kid. Without a doubt those top two albums in your ranking are two of the best metal albums ever for me. I do think Blackie has been retreading his own musical themes for decades and is a complete bluffer but when youve been blessed with such a fine voice as he has, its hard to hate on him ha! Superb.
That’s one thing I wish I would’ve mentioned is Blackies unique voice , but anybody watching this already knows that lol . Tough to beat those Top 2 in my books 🤘 Cheers mate
Great ranking! Here lately I have been listening to Unholy Terror, Dominator, Babylon, and Galgotha a lot as their songs and themes seem to fit in really well with the times. Top 5: 1. W.A.S.P. 2. The Headless Children 3. The Last Command 4. The Crimson Idol 5. Unholy Terror
My top 5 are from worst to best 5. Helldorado (don't ask why I love AC/DC so that's why lol) 4. Crimson idol 3. Headless children 2. Debut 1. Last command
I was very lucky to have seen WASP in their prime, I wished Randy Piper wouldn’t of left, but the lineup with Johnny Rod on bass was great too! Thanks as always 🤘 Keep Spain Heavy
Hi Darcy, I mentioned in one of my comments about how good Dying ft World and Unholy Terror are and I 'm glad you think so to! Dying ft World is about 911... so the cover has something to with that. My ranking is pretty the same as yours. Hope to see Grave Digger and Running Wild someday. Cheers 🤘
I remember your comment and I kind of laughed to myself thinking yup that guy knows his shit lol . I’m sure I’ll get to both bands eventually , in the meantime go check out Metal Mickey’s Running Wild ranking , its superb , he’s a big fan ! Thanks for hanging out with me 🤘 Take care ~ Darcy
Love W.A.S.P. my top three are St, Last Command, and Inside the Electric Circus. KFD is kick ass in my top ten easy!! Saw the on the Last Command opening for Kiss. Then saw the with Slayer and Raven on the Electric circus tour. Then two more times down the road
Good to hear your a fan of KFD , I think people are making a big mistake by counting it as “bad” W.A.S.P. album … it’s just not the case ! Thanks for watching 🤘 Have a great weekend :))
Hei, Darcy! Here's my TOP 3: 1. W.A.S.P. 2. The Crimson Idol 3. The Last Command The first two have no weak tracks at all so they are as perfect as they can be. I've always loved them. Did I hear the sound of the chainsaw, Jarkko/MyVinylBar
Jarkko it’s so good to hear from you , hope all is good your way ! Yeah, that was a chainsaw you heard , I needed the pants, so I had to trade my wife for the day 🤣😂
The only time I got to see WASP unfortunately was on the KFD tour. I hate that album btw. It's been years, and I should listen to it again. Disappointing setlist. The samurai sword cutting the meat carcass (fake I assume) was interesting. The stage was dark though most of the time and you couldn't see much of anything. Terrible venue. We also got there late for the opener Motorhead. Big WASP fan, but probably the worst show I've been to. Everyone in our group was bummed out. Headless Children is still my favorite. Just hits on all cylinders.
The first 3 albums and live in the raw are all i need from WASP. I have a few later albums but bad boy wasp is the best wasp. I really like KFD as well though, very under rated.
I’m a bit surprised you didn’t mention The Headless Children but then again the “bad boy” isn’t as prominent on it ! Good to hear you like KFD , great album ! Cheers my friend 🤘 Have a good weekend :))
@@darcysixstringsninelives3493 perhaps the less said about that one that better 🤣. I've got a future video where I talk about that one myself, but I won't spoil it here lol.
Blinking Nora! You have that Dominator low don't you. I thought that was the best one outside of the first 5. I Don't Need no Doctor might be the best cover of all time. I don't care who's song it was they own it now 😂
Dominator is good it just doesn’t stand out but I guess you could say that for a lot of their later material ! Agreed on that cover , that’s actually one of the first songs I learnt on my bass guitar , it’s simple just like me 🤣
The guitar tone on the video for Chris Holmes Let It Roar is so badass , yeah I know some of the lyrics are corniest as shit but who cares lol . Always loved his tone , wish things could’ve worked out better between him and Blackie . Thanks for watching 🤘 Have fun at the show !
One of my top 10 fav bands so ya know I enjoyed this. Can't argue with your commentary but Golgotha, KFD & Idol would be in my top 5. Btw that KFD album is such a vicious album lyrically! Blackie said that that was at the time Chris was divorcing Lita and he just had a three yr relationship come to a bad end so they both were in a hateful mindset. Oh and the Re-Idolized is a must. They re-recorded the whole album and you get the DvD that was supposed to originally come out with the album. Puts a whole different feel to it. 🤘🍻
Yeah I thought you might like this one haha ! I think with KFD people aren’t investing the time , conclusions are reached way to quickly , it’s killer ! Thanks for making this video possible 🍻 Cheers Rob⭐️
Suggestion..quit worrying about how long the video is gonna be. Let it be whatever it's gonna be. I happen to really enjoy long, in depth rankings. Maybe do some more ranking vids. Bands with huge discographies. The longer the better imo. Unholy terror is my number 1 The last command 2 Keep up the good fun. I enjoy listening Thanks
I have no idea why I say that sometimes because I actually don’t give a shit how long it is lol . Well you know I haven’t done a Black Sabbath ranking & I own them all 🤔 that could be a long one haha ! Nice choice with Holy Terror , if people gave up after the first few that’s the one to get ! Thanks for the positive encouragement I appreciate it 🤘 Take care ~ Darcy
Kill fuck die is underrated i think why people not really like that much is that , it's really gore and really really depressive it's the most violent album on the planet , if you listen to the album you can hear a guy who wants to kill someone in all the tracks . headless children and the last command is good too and MY FAVOurite track is probably lake of fools
1. The Headless Children (1989) 2. WASP (1984) 3. The Last Command (1985) 4. The Crimson Idol (1992) 5. Inside The Electric Circus (1986) 6. KFD (1997) 7. Still Not Black Enough (1996) 8. Babylon (2009) 9. Dying For The World (2002) 10. Unholy Terror (2001) 11. Helldorado (1999) 12. Golgotha (2015) 13. Dominator (2007) 14. Neon God (2004) 15. Neon God II (2004) Seeing WASP twice this year. Blackie needs to change this up and fast. People are very much up in arms over what they perceive to be having the wool pulled over their eyes. What was promised was a set list drawing from the first three records for the most part with an old school type show (blood, fire, raw meat, etc.). That is not what is being delivered in addition to vocal tracks. The medleys are lame and unnecessary. This would be easy to fix. Set list wise dump the opening medley and open with The Heretic. Then dive into that back catalog and play the songs in full. It's not that hard. Let the song Babylon's Burning be the lone representative of the newer stuff along with Heaven's Hung In Black. Change out a couple of the old school songs nightly and everyone would have less of a problem with no fire, blood, raw meat etc. Drinking blood from the skull is easy enough and he could always cut up the meat but not throw it out if he is worried about legal matters.
I’ve never been on that one but I’ve been on a few episodes of Heavy Metalürgy over on the Marty Worm channel & a few episodes as the 5th horsemen over on the Contact In Blood channel , all awesome guys , great channels !
I really enjoy ranking videos, especially when I’m not familiar with all of the albums. I fell off after The Crimson Idol. This gives me a good idea where to start on the albums that I missed. By the way, I did make a top concept album video and The Crimson Idol did make my list!🤘🤘great video as always sir!
Well shit Early I’m sorry I missed that one , I’ll be over to watch soon ! I’m going to guess a few before I watch haha ! Keep up the great work on your channel 🤘 Tty soon
That’s a great idea 😂 Ah shit forgive me it’s very dry in my house sometimes, might need to add a humidifier lol. Plus I just love water 🤘 Thanks for watching
Double Live Assassins is in my opinion the BEST live album of that time. Slickly produced AND Chris Holmes was there. It was the KFD tour..AND by the way The Chuck Berry song was actually One of Blackies favorite songs when he was younger his mom used to play the oldies AND he loved it...
Later stuff my take : i was a fan of Helldorado it came out during my middle school/ high school years an honestly it was a solid bounce back after the disaster of trying to go mainstream metal route which was a failure to me aka KFD. Golgotha was forgettable not much to remember their for me , dominator was just ok to Heaven's Hung in Black not much after that for me though. Babylon was killer for me though, Thunder Red is a great track, Die Another Day , Babylon's Burning, Seize the Fire all the rest worked in Promised Land was a solid cover I hated the placement of both on the album Burn and Promised land should have been labeled as two bonus tracks etc... Neon God Stuff never really did it for me period and both of those albums were hard to find an the label did a terrible job with promotion of these. No dying for the world & unholy terror was just nothing special to me no standout tracks average production . Classic era stuff is of course awesome- Last command was my favorite of that early era Great channel an vids loved the unboxing of Savage Seven I am still awaiting mine to ship. Cannot wait.
Honestly I’d rather have a shorter album, just leave the reprise off! You’re not adding any value to the album by putting a reprise on there in the first place lol. Cheers Randy 🤘
K.F.D gets a bad rep for something they showed a lot of creativity over, it's certainly a lot more imaginative than Helldorado and many other mediocre albums Blackie shovelled out to fans after. Yeah it was following a trend, Alice Cooper did the same thing around that time with making an industrial album but they did a better job of making it work.
I totally agree with you! The industrial vibe on K.F.D. isn’t nearly what people make it out to be, it’s a solid album. Thanks for watching 🤘 Cheers from Canada
hey yo... so for me the worst wasp albums are, unholy terror, neon god 1 and 2 and hellderado... the problem is these albums all followed each other in sequence , and this was the worst point blackie was ever in, his voice on these records is very high and shouty and it sounds god awful, and the music and vocal hooks are all the same in every album, it doesn't matter what song you put on, it will sound exactly the same as songs on the next albums... in-between this mess of albums is dying for the world, and although this album does suffer the same as sounding the same as all the others either side of it, this album is the best of the bunch... I just dont see how anyone listening to these albums can consider it good wasp music, because its fucking terrible
I can’t stand that KFD and still not black enough aren’t on streaming platforms yet and not being reissued in 30 years. And never on vinyl like wtf, they don’t wanna help themselves, and then they ask why we’re pirating….
W.A.S.P. One of the most underrated Bands in the World!.
… 🤘🏽🇨🇦
You got that right! Thanks for watching 🤘 Greetings from Saskatchewan
Headless Children and Crimson Idol will always be my 2 Faves. Serious W.A.S.P. is the best W.A.S.P.
So currently my top 5 are
1. Crimson Idol
2. Debut
3. Golgotha
4. The Headless Children
5. The Last Command
I have plans of doing a series on the band at some point.
Same top 5 as I would put it!
That would of been on hellva show ! Rod Smallwood managed both bands back then , smart move to put them out together ! Thanks brother 🤘 Stay Heavy
Great vid. Wasp lost me after Crimson Idol but I am going to check out the "newer" stuff. My absolute standout is Headless Children, which is one of my all time favourite records by anyone. The tour was superb too.
That’s a tour I would of loved to see , Blackie , Chris & Johnny … awesome album ! Thanks as always 🤘 Cheers Paul
I'm pretty sure that the cover of dying for the world remembers the remains of the September 11 towers, and most of the lyrics showed the inner rage and pain of Mr Lawless after the attack
I believe you are right!
I can't claim to be a big W.A.S.P. fan, but I've been listening to Headless Children and Crimson Idol lately and I really am enjoying both, Blackie really sounds like Kevin DuBrow in my opinion and I always liked that early Quiet Riot style, this scratches that itch
Also, I've found that "Neutron Bomber" off of Headless Children's intro sounds EXACTLY like Kiss' Love Gun, and minute 3:40 on Heretic Child sounds exactly like the Number of the Beast intro!
Definitely check those out on youtube and see if you hear it haha,
Cheers brother!
Very happy to have a CD edition of the debute with animal as the intro song + 2 bonus tracks good stuff 🐐🐐🐐
The last command is #1 of course.Intro from Jack Action is most heavy and most powerful intro.Hi from Bosnia,Samir.
Great choice! I love that album! Thanks for watching 🤘 Cheers from Canada

This wud b my list. Wasp is my favorite band. Blackie is so underrated as a musician n songwriter. Haunting vocals especially on the dark ballads he makes
I should’ve talked more about Blackie’s vocals , very unique voice , I’ve always loved it ! Thanks for sharing your ranking 🤘 Cheers Randy
Agree with your analysys and sensations on Helldorado.
My Ranking for W.A.S.P.

7 Still Not Black Enough

9 Dominator
10 Babylon
11 Dying for the World

Blackie has stated that Neon God was supposed to be a double album.
Great choice for your #1 , definitely one of my favourite concept albums of all-time ! Thanks for watching 🤘 Cheers from Canada
The Manimal AND Harder Faster are excellent. I saw Wasp in 1984 my friend. Civic arena PITTSBURGH..😎😎
Haha that’s awesome to hear ! Thanks for watching & a big cheers from Planet6Strings 🤘 Take care ~ Darcy
Good to hear your a fan of KFD , very underrated album ! Thanks for the kind words & thanks for watching 🤘 Cheers James
Perfect timing on this ranking ! Just saw them a few days ago. Both WASP and Armored Saint kicked ass!
My top 5
5. Last Command
4. Electric Circus
3. Headless Children
2. Crimson Idol
1. WASP
I am a big fan of the cover Easy Livin, Blackie’s range is off the charts!! I have 2 12” Single 45’s, one “School Days” b/w Paint It Black, also excellent and you guessed it “Animal”
🤟Cheers🤟
Ed
Does original mean I’m old 😂 that’s ok with me ! Thanks for checking in on me 🤘 Stay Heavy René
@@darcysixstringsninelives3493 Maybe a little lol but its super cool for you to have been around WASP back in the early days. Have a great week Darcy
@@garethdavies9881 Thanks very much ! Your right & remember kids this is all for fun , or someone can lose their shit 😂 that’s ok too :))
@@darcysixstringsninelives3493 Listened to The Headless Children a while ago, and it was totally awesome 👍
That’s good to hear , I’m glad you enjoyed it 🤘 Great album
One of my favorite bands hardly any bad albums in my eyes and some absolute classics.
1. The headless children
2. The crimson idol
3. Still not black enough
4. Dying for the world
5. Golgotha
6. Unholy terror
7. Dominator
8. Babylon
9. The last command
10. Self titled
Great in depth ranking mate🤘love the early stuff and I used to have the most recent albums on vinyl but I sold them as didn’t listen to them. I need to explore more of the mid era stuff. The Headless Children is number 1 for me.
Awesome ranking Darcy. You just put me in the mood for some WASP. I have all their releases. Gonna definitely spin some this weekend! Cheers 🍻 🤘.
You’re very welcome ! Thanks for the kind words :) Enjoy that show 🤘 Cheers from Canada
My favorite song of their's is Jack Action. Has that little bit of pinch harmonic and I'm sure you all know where it is. Thanks again for posting 👍
01. W.A.S.P.
02. The Headless Children
03. The Crimson Idol
04. The Last Command
05. Dominator
06. K.F.D.
07. Inside The Electric Circus
08. Still Not Black Enough
09. Dying For The World
10. Babylon
11. Golgotha
12. Helldorado
13. The Neon God: The Rise / The Demise
14. Unholy Terror
15. Re-Idolized
S/T and Last Command are killer , Golgotha is great too ... but the rest i can take or leave . Keep on sleeping in the fire Darcy 🔥🛌
One the best debut albums ever ! I might have sleep in the fire tonight , it’s currently -26C & only getting colder 🥶 Cheers Double R

Thanks as always 🤘 Cheers Francis

great video Darcy! WASP has put out some kickass albums. My faves:
1. Headless Children
2. WASP
3. Crimson Idol
4. Last Command
5. ITEC
Ahh ok I will give Death Or Glory a spin today 🤘Thank you always Albert Von Jürgenson
Always a great day to get a W.A.S.P. video! I’m seeing them next week. I have been a fan since I first got the debut in January 1985 but never got to see them in concert. Got close twice. But the shows were cancelled.
That sucks those shows got cancelled , I hope all good well for this one ! Thanks for watching & commenting 🤘 Stay Heavy ~ Darcy
Good ranking, those cassettes bring back good memories.
Absolutely. That’s a tough spot to be in and he did his best. It was still a good time 🤘🏻
Hi Darcy!! another cool ranking, i think there're many things in common with many other having the first four studio records high on the list..... right now i don't own any of those, but i'm on the process to get, what i think are the best stuff from their debut up to "Headless...." Btw listen a couple of years ago their latest studio record and was really good, a nice surprise too. cheers and be well
That is definitely a great period of the W.A.S.P. discography , I hope your able to add those to your collection ! Cheers Christian 🤘
Here’s my ranking:
1. W.A.S.P.
2. The Last Command
3. Inside The Electric Circus
4. Headless Children
5. Unholy Terror
6. Still Not Black Enough
7. Crimson Idol
8. Golgotha
9. Neon God Pt. 1
10. Babylon
11. Helldorado
12. KFD
13. Neon God Pt. 2
14. Dying For The World
15. Dominator
Thank you very much & thanks for sharing your ranking … love your Top 4 ! Cheers from Planet6Strings 🤘
Awesome W.A.S.P ranking, Darcy!
Thanks Tony 🤘
Awesome ranking dude…I’d put Helldorado over the Neon God albums any ol day of the week, but that’s just me…
Hey there’s nothing wrong with that , Helldorado has a couple songs I really like & it’s got Chris Holmes !

@@franciskocher200 Lost a few of mine over the years. I feel you're pain bud!
Top 5:
1. W.A.S.P.
2. The Headless Children
3. The Last Command
4. The Crimson Idol
5. Unholy Terror
I was thinking that too about the themes , they are all very relevant in the times we are in ! Great Top 5 🤘 Cheers from Canada
My top 5 are from worst to best
5. Helldorado (don't ask why I love AC/DC so that's why lol)
4. Crimson idol

I think Alan is just checking on King’s availably , I’m ready to go anytime haha 🤘
Hei, Darcy!
Here's my TOP 3:
1. W.A.S.P.
2. The Crimson Idol
3. The Last Command
The first two have no weak tracks at all so they are as perfect as they can be. I've always loved them.
Did I hear the sound of the chainsaw,
Jarkko/MyVinylBar
Jarkko it’s so good to hear from you , hope all is good your way ! Yeah, that was a chainsaw you heard , I needed the pants, so I had to trade my wife for the day 🤣😂
Golgotha got me back in to listening to WASP.
Oh,this is exactly how my W.A.S.P. ranking would be!
Holy shit I finally got it right 🤣 Cheers Piotr haha
Nice job sir.
Well thank you very much 😉
Blinking Nora!
Agreed on that cover , that’s actually one of the first songs I learnt on my bass guitar , it’s simple just like me 🤣
I'd go with " Neon God 1 and 2 along with Helldorodo as the bottom 3
Chris Holmes touring at the moment, seen him last Friday night...it was excellent 👍
Wasp tour next march as well 👍
The guitar tone on the video for Chris Holmes Let It Roar is so badass , yeah I know some of the lyrics are corniest as shit but who cares lol . Always loved his tone , wish things could’ve worked out better between him and Blackie . Thanks for watching 🤘 Have fun at the show !
Thank you! One of my fav bamds
Your very welcome ! Thanks for stopping by 🤘 Take care ~ Darcy
Widowmaker is my fav too!
You should do the concept album ranking.
I will put it on the to do list 👍 Thanks as always Andrew
I agree, a Concept Album ranking would be awesome but how many King Diamond albums would be allowed?
Unholy terror is my number 1
The last command 2
Keep up the good fun. I enjoy listening
Thanks
1. The Headless Children (1989)
2. WASP (1984)
3. The Last Command (1985)
4. The Crimson Idol (1992)
5. Inside The Electric Circus (1986)
6. KFD (1997)
7. Still Not Black Enough (1996)
8. Babylon (2009)
9. Dying For The World (2002)
10. Unholy Terror (2001)
11. Helldorado (1999)
12. Golgotha (2015)
13. Dominator (2007)
14. Neon God (2004)
15. Neon God II (2004)
Seeing WASP twice this year.
Great list ! I like where you have KFD , I think that album has aged just fine ! Thanks for watching & commenting 🤘 Stay Heavy ~ Darcy
Darcy don't you go on the metal round table podcast ??
I’ve never been on that one but I’ve been on a few episodes of Heavy Metalürgy over on the Marty Worm channel & a few episodes as the 5th horsemen over on the Contact In Blood channel , all awesome guys , great channels !
Ok I thought you said something like that but I'll check it out Thanks From Pittsburgh@@darcysixstringsninelives3493
Should do an under/over on how many times you sip your water
That’s a great idea 😂 Ah shit forgive me it’s very dry in my house sometimes, might need to add a humidifier lol. Plus I just love water 🤘 Thanks for watching
@@darcysixstringsninelives3493 Ahaha! I’m just ball busting mate! Great video 🤘
I prefer live in the raw, I don't like those medley's of the best songs he should have full versions of the best songs.
@@martymartin2894 Every one is different. It's all good. 🖐
@@scottoz7891 I know cool I'm just saying my preference.
Headless children is my number 1
Great choice , great album ! Thanks for watching 🤘 Cheers from Canada
Inside the Electric Circus
Great choice ! Thanks for watching 🤘 Cheers from Canada
Later stuff my take :
i was a fan of Helldorado it came out during my middle school/ high school years an honestly it was a solid bounce back after the disaster of trying to go mainstream metal route which was a failure to me aka KFD.
Classic era stuff is of course awesome- Last command was my favorite of that early era
Great channel an vids loved the unboxing of Savage Seven I am still awaiting mine to ship. Cannot wait.
Wasp is pretty underrates their First 4 Albums are pure gold.
In my opinion the Idol is one of the worst records i've ever Heard😂
Reprises are a cheap thing to do. Don't have another song, so have to reprise another one.
Honestly I’d rather have a shorter album, just leave the reprise off! You’re not adding any value to the album by putting a reprise on there in the first place lol. Cheers Randy 🤘
I think their best albums have Chris Holmes.
Agreed! I’ve always loved his guitar tone.
That’s a great point that you make ! I agree it’s complete bullshit 🤬
WASP was one the band hard to see Live, for me finally I did and was fucking awesome, Twice in LA!! not to mention Armored Saint!! 🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘
I would of loved to see that tour ! John Bush can still bring it , love Armored Saint ⚔️ 🤘
