Thanks so much David! Well, based on our selections, you know where to start! IMHO, don't start with a best of collection because there are a lot of great songs throughout the catalog.
agree on each album being good, I like Helldorado more than everyone I've seen but I listen to music via playlists and judge albums by how much I like each song individually, never how they relate to others on the album, where they fit and judging it as one work front to back. It's samey which doesn't bother me but if you listen to the album all the way through it is less diverse which seems to be most people's issue with it. 1.The Crimson Idol 2. K.F.D. 3. The Neon God (both as one album) 4. The Headless Children 5. Dying for the World 6. Unholy Terror 7. Helldorado 8. Inside the Electric Circus 9. W.A.S.P. 10. Still Not Black Enough 11. Golgotha 12. The Last Command 13. Dominator 14. Babylon
I looked up this video and some of the previous before getting some of the WASP albums I haven't heard. I have gotten into WASP by accident really by browsing at my local CD store, and for me and the title Helldorado caught my eye over 20 years ago, when I was in high school. And later I found First Blood, Last Cuts compilation which introduced me to the early WASP stuff. But then I bought Dying For the World and my jaw dropped, because it was one of these rare moments where I felt goosebumps at the songs I was hearing because they were so good! I wish there were more albums like that. Helldorado was fun fun fun but this was... wow! Later I bought some earlier stuff I thought the first album didn't age as well, while i liked the Inside the Electric Circus, and The Last Command were fun, especially for taking long road trips and singing along. I had the Last command on tape as well I could play it in my car. LOL. I saw WASP live several times, and I wasn't all that impressed with them live, they even did two dates where I lived at the time. This was probably 2008 or so. Later life caught up with me and I really missed the later decade and a half of WASP's discography, and while I heard their live performances didn't improve, I was amazed to hear Babylon and Golgotha, especially for me now as I was coming to trust God more and more. Also much like Blaze Bailey's work I liked the honesty and thought Lawless put into his work, so I got into Still Not Black Enough, which wasn't Black Enough for me, but some songs were outstanding like Goodbye America. I never got into KFD, Crimson Idol, Headless Children. Neon God listening now is good, and Dominator I haven't bought because it seems to miss some of the flow, but the good and thoughtful elements are there. I just ordered Unholy Terror to hear for the first time, and some of the best of the best, to remember the good old times, but I'll probably reorder The Last Command and Electric Circus at some point, as I made the mistake of selling of 90% of my music collection, which I am missing now and finding some new stuff I haven't gotten into, like here. Thanks guys, for the reviews.
I echo what my co captain said here. You all have brought great comments to all of these videos in this series and it means the world to me that we have had the chance to interact with you and how some have said it was something you looked forward to. Warms my heart!
Blackie has put together a strong catalogue first and last easy for me the rest difficult so here goes. 1 the crimson idol 2 still not black enough 3 the headless children 4 dying for the world 5 W.A.S.P. 6 inside the electric circus 7 dominator 8 unholy terror 9 kfd 10 the last command 11 neon God p1 12 Neon God P2 13 Golgotha 14 Babylon 15 helldorado Thanks guys 🤘
I know what you mean about Last Command - but the good songs are just so good. Same deal with Inside The Electric Circus. So here's my top 10 10 - Babylon 9 - Dominator 8 - Unholy Terror 7 - KFD 6 - Still Not Black Enough 5 - The Headless Children 4 - W.A.S.P 3 - The Last Command 2 - Inside The Electric Circus 1 - Crimson Idol
Next you need to do the videos Lyceum, Video in the raw , first blood last videos, the sting and the greatest hits, first blood last cuts with the remixes and unreleased tracks and best of the best :)

I know it seems crazy but hear me out. Honestly, the catalogue just got stronger to me. I find myself skipping a few songs on Last Command and Electric Circus these days and I can listen to the later material and not skip a song. When I say later material, I'm talking Unholy Terror forward. Trust me, 16 year old me is probably saying the same thing! :)
@@rockshowcritique440 I was surprised by that but not really. The thing about Last Command was that it hadn’t aged well for me like the debut. I go to a couple songs but not the whole album. I go to so much of the catalogue more than Last Command. But as a teenager, I adored it as I got it when it came out.
Nice list. Mine always changes but my number 1 always stays the same. 1 W.A.S.P. 2 Golgotha 3 Inside the Electric Circus 4 Babylon 5 The Crimson Idol 6 Dominator 7 The Headless Children 8 The Last Command 9 The Neon God: Part 1 - The Rise 10 The Neon God: Part 2 - The Demise 11 Unholy Terror 12 Still Not Black Enough 13 Dying for the World 14 Helldorado 15 Kill Fuck Die
You all are bringing it with your comments. Thank you so much! Well, there is one thing that seems to be common here. Not much love for Helldorado. Take me to hellllllllllllllll!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Helldorado!!!! Whoooo!!!! 😄
1 bad album out of 15 is pretty good I think at the time Blackie described helldorado as going back to the beginning. It doesn't come close to the debut album 🤘
@@petercrimson1979 You are so right here! Very consistent and underrated catalog. And even on the lesser albums, there are some great songs. "Damnation Angels" is a killer!
I had a feeling that would get me in trouble. :) 16 year old me would be screaming at me too. But, at 53, the material on the later albums just appeal to me more. The production on Last Command and Electric Circus also kind of kill it for me as I don't think they've aged well.
@@MyMusicCorner Fair enough. I’m older than 16 but younger than 53. But I have no problem with the production. ITEC you ranked low too. I will watch the whole video later now than I’ve calmed down haha
Great job, Johns!
Definitely got me interested in checking out their catalog.
