Will do - Dany🤘
You rescued St Anger from a bin? I couldn't even watch the video after that.
Came here to say that 13 by Black Sabbath is actually a pretty good album. And then I saw about 100 other comments that already said that.
Hey Bob 👋 You bet there is people that like 13 , just not one of my favourites ! I still love Black Sabbath , I have all their albums & then some lol , I hope to put together a ranking soon ! Thanks for watching 🤘 Cheers from Saskatchewan Canada
Yeah, I enjoyed "13" as well. Granted it doesn't hold a black candle to their first six albums but it IS better than their last two with the Ozzman. Plus you also have to consider the questionable conditions it was recorded under: Iommi's lymphoma, Geezer's arthritis, Bill Ward's leaving over health problems (which he tried to cover up as a falling out with Sharon)... and while I know this above post wasn't much of a Rick Rubin fan I do have to admit his production was the REAL star of the album!
@Mr.Brenman21 I love Never Say Die; Junior's Eyes I particularly love. I know Ozzy says he hates it but he was in a bad place at the time, and a lot of those comments about Never Say Die are from the 80s when he never wasted an opportunity to slag off Sabbath.
@@darcysixstringsninelives3493 I agree with you. I really wanted to love it but like you, I don't hate it, I just find it a bit boring.
Yeah more people REALLY need to check out some of Sabbath's stuff that's sort of been buried over the years. Albums like Eternal Idol and Tyr are some of their best stuff to be honest.
I listened to Headless Cross and was blown away by it... They need to reissue that stuff and put it in Spotify!
The Eternal Idol - Headless Cross and Tyr are amazing albums.Tony Martin is a great singer.
Wasp: Kill, Fuck, Die
Motley Crue: Generation Swine
From what I have read/heard, Savatages Fight for the Rock was actually pressured by the Producers to put out a "Radio Friendly" album. The Band even admits it Sucks.
Everything else from them is great.
Savatage said the only nice thing about Fight For The Rock was getting to live in London during the recording process which they really enjoyed being guys from suburban Florida and London being a city with a population of 9 million must have been so exciting. There were a lot of heavy metal clubs and the band enjoyed the bars/restaurants.
Nice video! I actually much prefer Demolition over Nostradamus. I’ve got plenty of clunkers in my collection. Operation Mindcrime II, Generation Swine, just to name a few.
Forbidden - Black Sabbath
Chinese Democracy - Guns N Roses
Savage Amusement - Scorpions
Van Halen III - Van Halen
DaDa - Alice Cooper
Adrenalize - Def Leppard
The Final Cut - Pink Floyd
Kilory Was Here - Styx
Raised On Radio - Journey
Hot Space - Queen
Good video Darcy! A lot of great bands with duds out there. I've fallen for some as well. I have resisted buying the 13 album. Probably good that I did.
I have been meaning to pick up Headhunter until now i just have a Krokus live album. Great reasons for your picks mate and glad you picked an album from 1 of your favourite bands. I had a great time doing my thread response too. Take care mate😃
Headhunter is a great album
I like how you picked different stuff from other channels. Agreed, nut shot on Van Halen 3 lol. I still need to put my list together. There's a B-side or disc 2 track called Methademic from Black Sabbath's 13 that's worth checking out. I couldn't get into the rest of the album though either. I have a weak spot for Dokken's Dysfunctional because I saw that tour and still have a cool t-shirt.
Nice to see you jump on this thread! Most of the albums you show here I´ve never heard a single song. I love Scorpions but I never heard "Pure Instinct", same with Savatage, never heard "Fight...". I somehow like "13", I don´t know what it is but yeah, I think it´s pretty OK. Judas Priest´s "Demolition" is another record I never gave a listen.
Haha!. Good show Darcy. Chuckling like mad seeing St Anger propped up in the background! 😆 👍
I was hoping someone would find that funny 😊 Cheers my friend
Great upload Darcy, I agree with 13 to me it’s not a return to form at all, I find it quite boring. Keep up the good work 👍🏻🤘🏻
Cool list and a few surprises actually. Didn't expect to see 13. I don't mind that album lol. I agree on Savatage though, not great at all. I'm shocked you even had JP in there too, I know it's seen as awful, I've actually never heard it but I just thought they were too sacred to include lol. I've never actually heard the rest but I'd never go that deep into some of those bands, Great video.
Don’t underestimate Papa6Strings , I’m only scared of one thing & I’m married to her 🤣 Cheers mate
I agree with everything EXCEPT Black Sabbath's "13". That album is slow and doomy for sure, but quite an interesting listen if you give it a chance. And I had totally forgotten how awful "Pure Instinct" by Scorpions was! I do remember my disappointment that it had WAY to many ballads and forgettable songs. And mirroring your story about St Anger, I too found a Metallica album in the trash once, but it was Re-Load, I took it home with me because I felt sorry for it.
"13" is a good album. Certainly better than "Never Say Die!" I really don't know why people rag on that album. Now, Ozzy's "Ordinary Man", that's a piece of sh*t! Iommi's riffs are as dark and doomy as always.
@@mark_beastpriest5539 because Ozzy is awful. His return to Sabbath was them worse.
@@cybereus836 Yes. But I didn't buy the album because of him. Ozzy hasn't sounded good for years, only selling albums and concert tickets on past glories. No, my reasons are for Tony Iommi. His tone and sound are still rich, and he is very much the mastermind behind Black Sabbath. I would like to see him work with Tony Martin again some day, as the albums they made with Martin were great and underappreciated.
Great video! I didn’t listen to Demolition for years from what I heard from others but I loved Jugulator and went in with no expectations and Demolition is now one of my favourite Priest albums, I also think Black Sabbath’s 13 is quite good.
Back in the day (the 80s) you could be forgiven for buying bad albums.... the cover art , band reputation or whatever drew you in. But in the modern world with access to nearly anything on the net you would have to be a bit of a fruit loop purchasing anything that you didnt like ... cool video Darcy , everyone's got there own opinion ... rock on.
Lookin' back now at 53, I loved some rubbish in my teens, yeah just like you said.
Wow I own a lot more of these than I'd like to admit. I was just waiting for you to bring up 90s Dokken. Surprised no Megadeth Risk.
But on a positive note I just got KKs Priest today and it's really killer!!
Cool list. Our tastes in metal are actually quite different. I actually liked 13 by Sabbath. Of course, I wouldn't call it their absolute best but there are enough tracks on there that I think are quite satisfying for me to call it a good album: Loner, Beginning Of The End, God Is Dead, etc.
Aerosmith- Music From Another Dimension
Guns N Roses- Chinese Democracy
Metallica- Lulu
Green Day- Father of All Motherfuckers
Def Leppard- Def Leppard
Motley Crue- Generation Swine
Led Zeppelin- Coda
"They should have lowered the cannon about 10 inches.....because this album is a kick to the nuts" 😅🤣😂
Great picks Darcy! I agree all the way. And what a great comment to sum up the VH album! ”They probably should have lowered this canon about ten inches”😂👍 Take care!🤘
Oh shit man the things that come out of my mouth sometimes 🤣 Take care Nik
Van Halen III is for all intents and purposes an Eddie Van Halen solo album. Cherone was pretty much just doing as he was told.
It’s for hardcore VH fans only
Which was pretty much why Eddie was praising Gary so much at the time. I'm not happy that Eddie passed away, but I'm not going to present Eddie as this ideal person, like a lot of people have been doing.
Always nice to hear from you, Darcy! To be honest, i don't think st anger was THAT bad. Actually i purchased it some time ago (finally). I found that cool store with music and bought me bunch of mc cassette tapes like tom petty and ugly kid Joe. The other day I fell for some Korn and Metallica albums. Good vibes! Take care!
I liked most of Dysfunctional, the follow up to that Shadow Life is by far their worst. Then George left and they got good again on Erase The Slate.
Except for VH3 I haven’t heard any of the rest. I never picked up the latest BG as I knew it was in no way shape or form metal 😝 great vid response 🤘
Love the hydrogen generator you display in your thumb nail. Good stuff I get it dude!
Some (dis)honourable mentions: Motley Crue: Generation Swine, Def Leppard: Pretty much everything after "Pyromania", and Twisted Sister, Love is for Suckers. 🤢😴
Agree with everything except "13". If I were to mention Sabbath on this thread it'd be "Forbidden".
Hey Marcio 👋 I tried to stay away from a few real obvious ones & Forbidden is one of them , terrible album indeed ! Thanks for watching 🤘 Cheers from Canada
Black sabbaths 13 nearly made my list! Completely underwhelming. I can agree on Savatage too. I haven’t bothered to look passed the first four Dokken albums because you never hear good things about them. Great video mate!
Hey Darcy. I'd probably agree with a few of these. Especially that Def Leppard. I was thinking of picking tit up at the time but wasn't impressed, especially after their previous effort. They are still good live though. I don't mind the 13 album, not their best, but it is still on my list to pick up....still, so I'm not in a rush. Nice response 🤘🤘
The fact that you would include Dokken's "Dysfunctional" album on a list of "Ten Terrible Albums" is in of itself WHACK!!!! Especially when considering the album that followed, "Shadowlife" is truly considered a terrible album. Queensryche's "Dedicated To Chaos" is infinitely more deserving of inclusion here as well. In all honesty the album was originally written as Don's solo album, then he decided to do some writing with Jeff and it just snowballed into a Dokken album from there.
WHACK 🤣😂 that’s great ! Here’s the deal I grew up on the first 4 Dokken albums & after that never heard them for years , picked up Dysfunctional for cheap a few months back ! I’ve never heard Shadowlife , probably don’t need to right !? I’ve done a Queensryche ranking video & guess what’s in last place , yup you guessed it Dedicated To Chaos !! Thanks for watching 🤘 Cheers from Canada
Are there albums WORSE than St. Anger???
There’s an idea for a new video , “show 10 album worse than St-Anger” , shit man I don’t know if that’s possible ! Hope everything is going good for you 🤘 Take care ~ Darcy
Hey Darcy.
Great video again. I'm 90 percent of your opinion. But i love these 2 Krokus albums. This is good party metal music 😉
Cheers 🤘
Darcy, fantastic topic and video. I totally agree with you on 13. You mentioned 2 albums i dig; Demolition(it has some fillers) and Pure Instinct.
My honourable mentions:
1. Deep Purple-Rapture of the Deep
2. Helloween-Helloween
3.Nightwish-Endless Forms Most Beautiful
4. Bon Jovi- Lost Highway
5. Aerosmith- Rock in a Hard Place
For Aerosmith I think Just Push Play was their weakest album.
this Nightwish album is not so bad compared to their latest album. Human. :II: Nature. (2020) is just trash.
Rock in A Hard Place is a great album! Everything after Pump is just awful, but I’d draw the line at Done With Mirrors as their last truly good album, before the sell out
@@markcolhan8901 Done with mirrors was originally supposed to be their comeback album but ended up being permanent vacation. Get A Grip was their last great album.
Last week you were talking about the Todd LaTorre album. I think I picked it up because of you or Scott Waters was talking about it. Anyway, it’s outstanding. I haven’t listened to Queensryche since Mindcrime. Dee Snider’s new album Leave a Scar is awesome as well. I haven’t listened to him since Twisted Sister’s Stay Hungry. I believe I will have both albums in my top 20 at the end of the year.
I saw Queensryche with my two best friends in the summer of 1995. When their 1997 album came out I was so bummed out and haven’t listened to them since.
Hi Darcy!! that was a "tough list" towatch, couple of those i have not listen, but have to agree with VH3, Dokken just the first four records and "Lightining Strikes Back". I do like BS's "13" maybe not all of it, but there are some good songs..... Scorpions to me after "Love..." are kind of hit & miss specially the 90's stuff. Have not heard properly any DF from the recent years, but i think i have that record digitally, however a good band to see live....... Cheers and be well
I think the issue was that they signed contracts that required the bands to put out a certain amount of albums in a short time. You can't rush inspiration and art.
Very true ! Those were the years when they were banging out an album every year & it didn’t always work out did it ! Thanks for the great comment and thanks for watching 🤘 Cheers from Canada
I kinda like Judas Priest "Demolition". Savatage "Fight for the rock" may stray a bit from the edgy heavy metal of the beginnings, but it's still good hard rock.
Scorpions "Pure instinct" was the big disappointment of my life, that's when they became a pure cheesy pop-rock band for housewives. I found Black Sabbath "13" uninspired.
Just discovered your channel, man! My favorite band is Thin Lizzy; can't wait to see if you got some stuff to say about them. Cheers 🍻🍻
My Thin Lizzy collection is thin (no pun intended lol) but the good news is I’m working on it ! What’s your Top 3 albums from them ? Thanks for watching , please stop by anytime 🤘 Cheers from Saskatchewan Canada
@@darcysixstringsninelives3493 yeeah! Thank you for your answer.... My Lizzy top 3 would be 1. " Bad Reputation" 2. " Vagabonds of The Western World" 3. " Thunder and Lightning" 🍻🍻🍻🍻
“Illud Divinum Insanus” is considered an infamous blunder among Death Metal fans. I enjoy it for the comedic value though.
How could you miss Queensrÿche - Dedicated to Chaos? That album is a hot, steaming pile of crap.
You are 100% right ! Maybe it’s time for a part 2 lol . Thanks for watching 🤘 Cheers from Canada
I quite like that JP album... Was my introduction to the band and always thought Ripper was an OG haha.. How wrong I was. 13 a good album but it does have some dull moments. 100% agree on all the rest. Good video Darcy!
Virtual XI is a good album. If you skip/delete/hide The Angel and the Gambler it's quite solid.
I think The Angel And The Gambler is amazing along with the album. You simply need to approach it with an open mind and not to have any expectations. Also listening the album several times can help to like it. I've started to love many Maiden songs just by listening them over and over.
Cool list there, Darcy! I'm not surprised to see Judas Priest's Demolition. However, I didn't expect to see Black Sabbath's 13 there.
13 is terrible
Just when you thought you knew me Tony 🤣 13 is B-O-R-I-N-G
@@darcysixstringsninelives3493 Most phoned in album I’ve ever heard. Completely passionless and soulless album I feel
I haven't heard a lot of these to be honest so will have to take your word for it until I do! The only bone of contention for me here is your choice of drop off album for Krokus, yes Change of Address is bad but The Blitz was a massive drop off for me, I fully expected CoA to be terrible after that howler!
I saw Krokus on The Blitz Tour in ‘84 , WASP opened , both bands were awesome ! So I might have a wee soft spot for The Blitz lol , I still say Change Of Address is not as good ! See we didn’t fall out 😂 Cheers my friend :))
You want a major drop off for Krokus? What about their sole album for MCA, Metal Heart? I had the cassette and not only can't remember any song...but the cassette seemed to be harshly mastered...way too bright and tinny sounding.
Hey George 👋 Are you taking about Heart Attack ? I wouldn’t argue your point about the production , definitely a little off , but the album does have some great tracks like Wild Love , Axx Attack & Winning Man !
@@darcysixstringsninelives3493 It may well be Heart Attack! Damn...must be that bad if I got the title wrong! 😆
I did one of these on my music channel. I completely forgot about Scorps' Eye to eye. I can't disagree with your pick from them, Wild Child is great and I like a couple other tracks. But overall that one is rough. Undying Evil is my favorite and first Enforcer song. I do dig the Priest song One on One. The VH album you and I are in total agreement. Oof not into that Def Leppard album either. I think X might be worse, but it's a toss up. I'm kind of meh on 13. I'd say Shadowlife is a worse Dokken album. Good list overall.
Raziel! How you doing buddy! What happened after Defiance?
@@Casketkrusher_ Got stuck in a sword. I'm not lonely though as there are a billion other versions of me in there. Though the lousy gits never stop monologuing.
😂 great thread great video! That’s an amazing st. Anger story 😂. Some of these I haven’t heard but I’m on board with the dokken . It’s a bad album in every way. Van Halen III is wicked also lol. Metallica’s Lulu comes to mind also.anyway cool fun video. Darcy stay well brother
Yup true story lol . I’ll be honest I’ve never heard Lulu & I never will ! Cheers brother 🤘 Stay Safe
@@darcysixstringsninelives3493 I've never felt it fair to call it "Metallica's Lulu" as it's not a Metallica album. It's a Lou Reed album that he wrote and asked Metallica to play backing music on. No where on the album cover doesn't it even call it a Metallica album. It's worse than calling Ghosts of Mars an Anthrax album because John Carpenter asked Anthrax to write the music for the movie.
Accept.... Eat The Heat
You might want check out my Accept ranking video lol . I actually really enjoy this album , no it’s not Udo … no one can replace the German tank ! Thanks for watching 🤘 Take care ~ Darcy
I love it
Man there was some cheese on this list! Great vid
There's so many crappy albums to choose from.
Mötley Crüe.... Generation Swine
Total Shit !
This is Great man
Thank you very much & thanks for watching 🤘 Cheers from Canada
@@darcysixstringsninelives3493 Yeah! Your welcome man. I support you. It's Great
Van Halen III is one of the absolute hate crimes of music.
Excellent job! Nice little Motley Crue jab for Jailhouse Rock. 😅🤣🤣 Spot on. VHIII is horrifying. Def Leppard! Yawn! 13 is sooooooo ponderous. Rick Rubin destroyed Death Magnetic. That Sabbath album was pasted together. Add Technical Ecstasy in there. Dysfunctional is totally weird so I kinda dig it. Broke the mold. Lulu??? Makes St. Anger look masterful. Generation Swine? Anything from Queensryche after Tribe. 😝
80s heavy metal and thrash bands made so many disappointing, boring or downright bad releases throughout 90s. The only really great album that impressed me at the time was The X Factor by Iron Maiden and I still love it.
In my opinion the true maiden fans stayed with the band and didn't jump ship when Bruce left, I'm proud to say I'm one of these and I really like the X factor album.
I really need to update my ranking to include Senjutsu, also my opinion on X Factor has changed over the past 4 years, it definitely will rank higher.
I didn’t have to jump ship with the X factor, that was already assisted by iron maiden with the awful no prayer for the dying.
Just bought Pure Instinct! I guess the awful cover foreshadows the music. I haven't listened to it yet, but I didn't expect it to be very good. Thankfully I bought Built to Destroy by MSG in the same shop, and I've been really enjoying that one.
"Fight For The Rock" is actually one of my favourite albums from Savatage. ) Great stuff!
Don’t get me wrong I love Savatage , but for me I just find Fight For The Rock to be one of their weaker albums , Hall Of The Mountain King is my favourite ! Thanks for watching 🤘 Cheers from Canada
@@darcysixstringsninelives3493 Yes, "Hall" is an absolute masterpiece! I got few original CDs with this album, LP, few T-shirts, a big textile banner hanging in front of me right now... I'm a big fan! :D
@@rigormortis85 I just pre-ordered the third album of the new vinyl reissues Power Of The Night , I can’t wait for Hall Of The Mountain King & Gutter Ballet to come out !
I actually really like Black Sabbath’s 13, In my opinion the first four songs are amazing and the rest is throw away. I think Judas Priest’s Juggulator is a fantastic album. Also, did you pick of the vinyl reissue of Megadeth’s Unplugged in Boston? I really love Dave’s guitar tone on it
Are you sure you’re not spying on my house ? 😂 Megadeth Unplugged In Boston just arrived today I shit you not , silver vinyl ! I’ll give it a listen tonight and let you know what I think ! Cheers Sam 🤘 Loud ‘n’ Proud
@@darcysixstringsninelives3493 I promise I’m not spying on your house 😂 I have just been listening to it lots and I was wondering what your opinion is, I thinks it’s fairly good, they even play a song from Risk! Sometime this week, I’m gonna have to order a copy for myself on vinyl! Cheers
I gave 13 more than a chance and it just didn't work out.
I was all set to hate 13. Told everyone it was a pathetic transparent cash grab. And I ended up liking it, lol. Ouch. Enough people hated it for me, I can be the weirdo who likes it."BORN IN A GRAVEYARD..." sure, a little Mercyful Fate flavor lifting, but I really liked that one.
@@saltpeter7429 Yeh, it's up to you as to what you like. Now, if you have to force yourself to like it that's a whole different thing.
How can you say that about '13'!? 😮
Maybe I'm a little biased because this album came out when I was a teenager but in my opinion it's one of the best albums of the decade 😁
Really didn't think 13 was terrible. Other than that, I agree with everything, except maybe the Dokken album. There are a few great tracks on that one I really dig. You could have included any Def Leppard album after Pyromania on this list too.
My fave tracks on "13" are End of the Beginning, Loner and God is Dead? Ok, not their best. But a far cry from their worst.
I totally get why people don't like some of these, but I like the Savatage, Dokken and Scorpions albums you showed, and half of that Krokus album. But that Def Leppard album I checked out on them years and years ago! But it's all a matter of opinion.
Yeah, I agree on all you listed.
I remember when I was a teen, I'd spend the night with my cousin and she had The Blitz. Played the shit outta Our Love. I still like that song plus a few others.
I’m a huge Dokken fan especially the first 4 albums with Tooth and Nail being my favorite. You hit the nail on the head with Dysfunctional that is god awful. The first time I heard it I was like what is this mess. I played it a few times figuring maybe it would be one of those albums that would grow on you but that ain’t happening . Just saw channel come down my UA-cam feed great channel man !
Hard to beat those first 4 Dokken albums isn’t it ! Thanks for the kind words , please stop by anytime 🤘 Take care ~ Darcy
@@darcysixstringsninelives3493 No doubt those early to mid 80’s Dokken albums are some of my favorite all time albums . I’m 52 and I still love the music of that era Dokken,Ratt, Accept , Krokus, VH etc etc the list goes on.We were blessed with great music and great times in the 80’s . Same here thanks for the kind words and take care .
Everyone was praising that Def Leppard album in 2015 as the best since Hysteria, lol. I personally think Songs From the Sparkle Lounge that came out before it, blows it out of the water.
Hey, dude. I like "Van Halen III", "Demolition" and "13", good albums in my opinion. I have 500 albums and the only one I really dont like is Solefald - "Pills against the ageless ills", it really sucks. But I have read amazing critics in magazines... Those were the times without UA-cam.
The follow up to Dysfunctional is a whole lot worse.IMHO
That’s what people are saying , i’ve honestly never heard it ! Thanks for the heads up I will steer clear of that one !
@@darcysixstringsninelives3493 Dokken go grunge
Yeah, Zenith was kind of a disappointment following Enforcer's other stellar fucking albums. Not terrible but not really to the same quality as something like Death by Fire
That’s so funny you found st anger in the garbage😂😂😂 I actually get in the mood for st anger from time time!
Good list. Some of those I haven't heard, and now I'm even less inclined to, haha. As for the Savatage, according to Jon Oliva, that album wasn't actually supposed to be a Savatage album, but the label made them do it to try and cash in on the whole 'commercial' thing. Most of those songs were written for other people, so that explains why they don't sound good as Savatage tracks. After this album, they were about to hang it up thanks to the stupid label who didn't pay them anything, so they were in major debt. Then came Paul O'Neil, who rescued them, paid their debts, and reinvigorated them into doing Hall of the Mountain King. And you can tell things are good for them again on that album! 🤘
And even after Criss Oliva died, they still managed to kick ass with Alex Skolnick...then Chris Caffery and Al Pitrelli. Trans-Siberian Orchestra is pretty cool too.
Nice list. Sometimes it is hard to admit that music from some of our favorite groups actually do suck. Here are a couple of my favorite groups with bad albums: Accept-Eat the Heat; Saxon-Destiny; Dream Theater-The Admonishing; Queensryche-Dedicated to Chaos; Black Sabbath-Forbidden.
I agree with you about Pure Instinct but disagree when it comes to Def Leppard, Dysfunctional, and 13.
13 is just ok but I wouldn’t say it’s bad at all imo
I was gonna say if slayer was there.... *r.i.p* cause I’m looking at slayer songs right now and this popped up
Probably could take any popular 80’s metal band and look at what they released after about 1995 and it’s likely really bad.
Worst albums of my favorite bands: Point of Entry, Turbo, Demolition and Nostradamus from Priest, X factor and Virtual XI from Maiden, Forbidden by Sabbath, Risk and Collider by Megadeth, Illud Divinum Sanus by Morbid Angel, Load, Reload and St Anger by Metallica, Diabolus in Musica by Slayer, Peter Criss solo, Dynasty, Crazy Nights and Hot in the Shade by Kiss, Hold your fire by Rush. Not one single song that I ever want to hear from any of these bands. Complete waste of space for me all of them.
I have a soft spot for VH3 it's a weird album but I like it.
Nothing wrong with that Justin , we all hear them different ! Thanks for watching 🤘 Take care ~ Darcy
Sabbath's '13', Krokus 'The Blizt' and Dokken 'Dysfunctional' are very great and enjoyable albums for me together with the Scorpions. I agree with you in the rest.
Yes The Blitz is a good album , I was talking about Change Of Address that wasn’t as good ! I actually got to see Krokus live on The Blitz Tour in ‘84 WASP opened , awesome show ! Cheers 🤘 Stay Safe
@@darcysixstringsninelives3493 So great! Krokus was my firsts metal shows here in Chile, february 1985, two nights! I have a stepbrother who lives in Quebec. Cheers!
Nice list, but I actually like that horrible Krokus album, it is pure 80's cheese, but that is what I like about it. It is funny and is a time machine back to the 80's.
Hello again Darcy Six...I hope you are having a great weekend...so...are you one of those guys that's going to do "Ripper" Owens dirty too lol!! Rob Halford IS Priest...I wont dispute that one bit. It was clear by the last few Priest albums that the band needed a break from Halford. Enter Ripper Owens...bad for Halford fans but rather unique for more of us "thrash" guys. Priest first album with Ripper "Jugulator" was a absolute masterpiece. Bullet Train was an absolute crusher of a song...a super album. The follow-up "Demolition"...isn't even in the same room as Jugulator. It was good music...and I will agree not one of Priests best...but I think "terrible" is a strong word...especially when standing next to something like St. Anger...which actually was terrible 🤣🤣🤣 Have a great rest of your weekend and I look forward to debating with you again in the future...thanx!👍☠
Van Halen 3 seemed poorly mixed to me.
Great video
Thanks very much 🤘 Cheers from Canada
I actually like the self titled Def Leppard album. I think X is their worst album. 13 is just ok to me. I definitely agree with you on Demolition and Van Halen III. I like Machine Man and One On One but that’s about it. With Van Halen III, I kinda like Without You and Fire In The Hole and maybe one other song but that album is embarrassing. Another bad album I would mention is Dedicated To Chaos by Queensryche. Yikes lol.
Can’t disagree with most of your choices Darcy. I do like 13 and Death Magnetic though. The “nice” Canadian in you is coming out In this video 😀. You try and find something nice to say about most (but not all) of these albums so it’s not completely negative. Cheers 🍻
I don’t own any of these albums..what does that say :)
This came up in my recommended when I searched King Diamond. I was nervous. Then I saw 13, and my soul died
Sorry man just not my favourite from Black Sabbath ! King Diamond you say , now your taking ! What’s your favourite album ? Thanks for watching 🤘 Stay Heavy
@@darcysixstringsninelives3493 that’s algood my man. Opinions are opinions. Black Sabbath rocks either. And yes, Stay Heavy my friend 🤘🏼
Krokus' new address. Shitsville. Demolition sucked because it was entirely a Glenn Tipton project. If you heard his Baptism by fire album, you'll see he got it in his head to change direction. But, like Blaze Bayley, something goes south and they blame the new guy. I happen to like both Ripper and Blaze.
I love Demolition but it is very hard, if not impossible to disagree with your statement about it being largely a Glenn Tipton project considering in an unprecedented move, he took over as the principal songwriter (Tipton always was the principal songwriter with Halford and Downing contributing but here he took it to the next level) and wrote several songs by himself and masterminded the whole production/recording processes. You could see in studio reports, he was very much in charge with Downing in a progressively dwindling role.
Blaze Bayley was at least allowed to write songs during his tenure in Maiden, Ripper only got to write one and that song What's My Name wasn't even put onto the main album, only released as a bonus track.
Great video Darcy. I'm glad to finally hear someone say it about Extreme. I just don't get it. But what ever happened to Def Leppard? What a waste of talent. High N Dry is one of my favourite albums ever. God they have brought out some serious crap since
Thanks very much ! I’ll tell you what , after Steve Clark died Def Leppard where never the same & how could they be , the guy is irreplaceable ! I’m not hacking on Extreme but they are just too wimpy for me lol . Thanks for hanging out at Planet6Strings 🤘 Take care ~ Darcy
@@darcysixstringsninelives3493 Have u ever heard Make Love Like A Man by Def Leppard? Lyrics go Make Love like a man, I'm a Man, that's what I am.... Did Joe Elliot write this when he was 10 years old? Embarrassing.. I was hoping Vivian Campbell would liven things up, but I have given up all hope on Leppard. Maybe we were just spoilt with all the great music that came out in the 80's!!
The Blind Guardian really missed it in the songwriting department on that one. Technical, orchestrations and talent only works when the song is actually still good. I agree.. I will give them a pass.
I think Dokken suffered an identity crisis after alternative became the rage. They should have stuck to their roots imo.
I totally agree ! The only thing from Dokken I’ve picked up lately is The Lost Tapes 1978 - 1981 , some pretty good stuff on there ! Have you heard it ? Thanks for watching & commenting 🤘 Stay Safe ~ Darcy
@@darcysixstringsninelives3493 have not heard that, but I might have to check it out. Back for the Attack was in my cassette player non stop back in HS.
Me too !! Ahh the good old days 🤘 life was simple lol .
U think the worst Black Sabbath album was their reunion live album which is probably the worst live album ever recorded.Ozzy sounds like a drunk kid,Butler loses tempo in almost every track and Iommi barely manages to deliver his solos...
On Demolition, it would have been a lot better if the had gotten rid of the RIDICULOUSLY LONG INTROS! I don’t know why Glen and KK insisted on having one on just about every song!
I know right !! Those intos really get on your nerves ! Thanks for watching Howard 🤘 Cheers from Saskatchewan Canada
Love how brutally honest you are with your opinion of these bands and I have to agree 💯.
Thanks man ! It pains me to talk bad about any of the bands I love lol . Thanks for watching 🤘. Cheers from Saskatchewan Canada
@@darcysixstringsninelives3493 no thank you...you even mentioned a horrible maiden album that I have to agree once again even being that iron maiden is my go to all time favorite.
Dokken, bro you said it. Thanks for the video 🙂👍
Your welcome ! Please stop by anytime 🤘 Cheers from Saskatchewan Canada
That Dokken is their homage to King's X. I totally disagree on that one
That’s ok if you disagree lol . I don’t mind a couple of those Kings X albums you sent me , but overall not a band I really dug too deep into , I’ll keep trying ! Hope all is well your way David 🤘
Cool ranking terrible albums, i also agree with it. St.Anger is not a bad nor a terrible album, it's just not a thrash album by Metallica, it's more a groove/metalcore album. Therefore if someone listen & love these genres will love St.Anger. It's a 2.5 out 5 album for me. Stay heavy🤘
No dude. Just no. That's a bad album.
@@johnrife7134 Well it's true, according to Metallica's discography and standars is a bad album, so i agree. But as a metalcore/groove album isn't that bad. If you don't like this kind of music, i respect that too.
I thought it was alt and nu metal.
@@johnrife7134
In your opinion, sure.
@@CarloNassar The album is to heavy and fast to be Alt.Metal, and maybe some Nu Metal influences here & there, but it still groovy & cory for the most part. 🤘👍
I actually love Demolition, and the Jugulator, I'm one of the few that like Ripper era Priest. Not as much as Rob Priest. And I'm really loving KKs Priest.
That’s good to hear ! I can’t wait to get my copy of KK’s Priest , I love the songs I’ve heard so far ! Thanks for watching 🤘 Cheers from Saskatchewan Canada
Jugulator was amazing
Juglator is horrible, demolition is better because it has some good riffs and melodies, Juglator feels so dry for judas priest
Death magnetic I feel was more thrasher since self titled ( ugh black album
Also Ram It Down sux beyond words. Demolition by Judas Priest would been a good album but it should of been about 45 minutes long.
Are you seriously telling me that you didn't pick St. Anger ten times? BETRAYAL!
Believe me the thought crossed my mind lmao . Thanks for watching 🤘 Cheers from Saskatchewan Canada
