But the ones that I remember the next morning I wake up do happen later on in real life. till now the big ones I have seen are 2 deaths and a marriage in my family. This happens to me but it happens at least 3 or 4 times a year. I remember seeing things from games I play on my ps4 and when I say it my friends can relate. I barely dream anymore I just go to sleep and remember nothing but sometimes I then get deja vu.
Does anyone ever feel like that an event that has occurred, occurred in a dream weeks or days before the event actually happening? Idk it’s a trippy feeling
Apparently, if you've ever experienced something that think you have dreamed before, you likely experienced Déjà rêvé. I wonder if Déjà, Presque, and Jamais would also apply to this type of brain "glitch".
I was just literally singing this exact verse and scrolling! I didn't know the exact words I was singing " Deja vu, I have never been to this place before, higher on the streets and Ik its my time to go, kohini..." 😱

I had a dream once where I was playing baseball, walking on a certain part of the baseball towards the far corner about 10ft away from the fence and got hit by a baseball that was hit by the best hitter on our team. A week later, I was walking down that same part of the baseball field, remembered the dream and jokingly put my hand up towards where the ball would be coming from in the dream, and caught a baseball about to hit me in the head. My teammates and coach saw it, I didn't even turned my head I ust reached up and caught the ball. They all screamed out of excitement and it still gets mentioned from time the time. I haven't even tried to explain it to them.

Mid conversation I actually stopped, and my mate said I looked as if I'd just witnessed a murder. I had a cold shower later that day.
Makes me feel like I can see the future. One Time I realized a few seconds before that I was about to have a deja vu moment and I said out loud “oh (gfs name) is about to text me” and right after she did. After that happened I’ve tried to realize when I’m in those moments before it plays out fully
That's actually the norm for me nowadays. Recently I had a particularly strong déjà vu of which I could very clearly remember that that specific precise sequence of events played in my head a few years ago.
Grammer Police #69 Once I had a Deja Vu while playing a game with our teacher in PE (Idk what the game is called in english but what we do is throwing the ball at each other and the one who touches the ball befor the ball touches the floor loses ) and my teacher had the ball at that time I had a deja vu , I remembered me running to left (to escape) and him throwing the ball to left right at me , so I didn't I ran to right instead and everybody was shocked 'cause it was kinda impossible me to escape😂 that was sooo cool, you should've seen the faces of my classmates and my teacher😂😂 BTW sorry for my english , it's not my first language😅

I never thought about it, but yes - I'm 32 years old now, but I remember having a lot more instances of deja vu as a kid (from like 6 years old to 20 or so) and fewer of them in my 20's until gradually not having them anymore in 30's. In fact, as a kid, it was enough to cause me to think some of my dreams were prophetic because I would see a scenario happen in real life and remember that I've had it in a dream, an eerily similar, vivid dream... And don't get me started on recurring dreams (mostly nightmares). All gone in my 30's now...
I had recurring dreams as a kid and that has stopped now but had them in my 30’s. I am 49 and get dejavú regularly and today I had an especially long episode so long I had time to ponder as it was happening where i might have been doing something similar like this once. It was so weird. Then the minute the conversation was over .. my other friend looked at me and guessed I had a dejavú instance. It was so weird
Sleep Paralysis is no frikken joke! It is SUPER terrifying. The most raw, pure, strong sense of terror I've ever felt. And I've seen some stuff "IRL". And I didnt even have the scary hallucinations, I cant even imagine that. I legitimately thought I was having a stroke. I wouldnt wish that on anyone.

my theory is that deja vu happens from dreams that you have forgotten. for example, something occurring in real life, was a similar occurrence to a dream that you don't remember.
One time I actually forgot my wife's name as I was trying to get her attention and for the life of me I couldn't remember her name for about 5 seconds.
Literally everyday when i wake up, i forget my dream, i mean i *just know* that i dreamed, but COMPLETLY forget what happened in it as soon as i wake up. Then at school (im 14 btw) something random happens in class and then i get this deja vu -ish feeling from my dream but i forget it like RIGHT AWAY and then i get frustrated and i try REALLY HARD to remember it but then my head starts hurting like really bad. Does this just happen to me?
I get the deja vu feeling from things that rehappen again and again while knowing where and when and how But still sometime repeats the same manner and end the same why or simlare alot
And then there’s DéjàPresqueJamais Vu: Where you have a word that seems brand new, on the tip of your tongue, and you feel certain this has already happened before...
Jamais vu is if u see something that doesn't really exist, And deja vu is when u have the feeling that something in the current happened already to you in the past.
One possible reason for deja vù could be dreams. We are already aware that more than 90% of a dream is forgotten just after waking up. What is forgotten is then stored in the subconscious memory which can't be accesed everytime. However the main purpose of a dream is to get experience for any situation which we haven't faced in real life. Upon facing a similar event, our brain tries to remind us of the similar dream we have faced before but is somewhat unsuccessful in doing so, thus creating Deja vù.
I used to devour these videos as a kid, and now I'm more than interested in psychology and sociology. Thank you for educating me about the brain, and obscurity, and the uncanny valley. It's helped me decide what I want to do as an adult now.
5:28 I know that feeling. And I dont know if this is deja vu, but I often feel like I’ve had the exact same thought before. Then I always ask myself how many times I’ve thought this way and before I know it, I already forgot what I was thinking about. It happens to me pretty frequently.
Yes dude, and then I'll think how crazy it is that in the span of a few moments soo many thoughts can flash through your head, but then if you try to keep thinking about it you just hit a wall where no further realizations will come
I hate when I think of something like a concept or even a bass line (yes I play bass guitar) but then I forget it forever….I’ve only recovered like one thought that I almost forgot …but what o am saying is completely irrelevant to this discussion but hey it’s a comment section :0
I thought someone was messing with time and rewinding things whenever I had deja vu. I also decided every time someone "messed with the time", I should mind my own business.
One time I dreamed about a person I didn't know talking to me in school (in class). One year later, I find the same person, I maje friends with him snd the *same* scene happens
Ive had several episodes of deja vu that lasted several minutes ( longest was about 12 minutes straight ). Its weird living a moment where you know everything that will happen or be said before it actually does for 12 minutes straight.
That’s because deja vu is actually when we predict the future in dreams but we forget our dreams when we wake up- until it actually happens and jogs our memories.
had the same thing for 10 seconds maybe less. crazy thing is girl next to me was laughing at me freaking out but her laughter was also something I dreamt months before was some wild predeterminism
I D K could also be translated to:"I have already seen" and i was referring to "déjà vu" and not "j'ai déjà vu" also in english already seen sounds a lot better than already saw. Though seen and saw could both be used Edit: since seen cannot stand alone and needs have/has and saw can stand alone it would be more logical to use saw My mistake you were correct but your argument wasn't
I get Presque Vu VERY often, even when it's my favorite song. I remember forgetting what shoe was in French for a few minutes... then I forgot what the English word was even though I knew it. I always feel like I almost got it, but instead, think of the wrong word, like you said. Usually, when that happens, I'll just wait a bit then I can remember again.
One time I literally forgot what the word "of" meant and what it was used for. It lasted like a minute, and I was frantically scrolling through Twitter posts looking for it in a sentence so I could remember how it was used 😭
The weirdest thing to me about Deja vu is it seems like you can almost remember exactly where you were when you envisioned it the first before it ever happened.

Or it could all just be my brain fucking with me
I remember one where I dreamed something then it actually came true. It was only a year ago

These are french words :
Déjà vu = Already seen
Presque vu = Almost seen
Jamais vu = Never seen
Apparently, if you've ever experienced something that think you have dreamed before, you likely experienced Déjà rêvé.
I wonder if Déjà, Presque, and Jamais would also apply to this type of brain "glitch".

In fact, as a kid, it was enough to cause me to think some of my dreams were prophetic because I would see a scenario happen in real life and remember that I've had it in a dream, an eerily similar, vivid dream... And don't get me started on recurring dreams (mostly nightmares).
All gone in my 30's now...

my theory is that deja vu happens from dreams that you have forgotten.
for example, something occurring in real life, was a similar occurrence to a dream that you don't remember.

Then at school (im 14 btw) something random happens in class and then i get this deja vu -ish feeling from my dream but i forget it like RIGHT AWAY and then i get frustrated and i try REALLY HARD to remember it but then my head starts hurting like really bad. Does this just happen to me?

Kinda me too. I'm like "wasn't I dreaming about this?" Then I know what happens next for like 4 seconds. Then I forget what I was thinking about.
I get the deja vu feeling from things that rehappen again and again while knowing where and when and how But still sometime repeats the same manner and end the same why or simlare alot
Starless Knight me too

Ive had deja vu 4 times while cooking eggs this week like im trippin
After 11 years he has still kept the same classics opening, I hope it never changes
And then there’s DéjàPresqueJamais Vu:
Where you have a word that seems brand new, on the tip of your tongue, and you feel certain this has already happened before...
Jamais vu is if u see something that doesn't really exist,
And deja vu is when u have the feeling that something in the current happened already to you in the past.

The begining: "First let me get a brain!"
Maybe if he said go get some brain. Not a brain
Da beningning
One possible reason for deja vù could be dreams. We are already aware that more than 90% of a dream is forgotten just after waking up. What is forgotten is then stored in the subconscious memory which can't be accesed everytime. However the main purpose of a dream is to get experience for any situation which we haven't faced in real life. Upon facing a similar event, our brain tries to remind us of the similar dream we have faced before but is somewhat unsuccessful in doing so, thus creating Deja vù.
I think this is the most logical explanation. I thought of it as well.😊
I used to devour these videos as a kid, and now I'm more than interested in psychology and sociology.
Yeaahh mee 2
Yes dude, and then I'll think how crazy it is that in the span of a few moments soo many thoughts can flash through your head, but then if you try to keep thinking about it you just hit a wall where no further realizations will come
repeat frequently its wierd

See your body into the moonlight
Even if I try to cancel
All the pictures into the mind
There's a flashing in my eyes
[Hook]
Don’t you see my condition, the fiction
Has gone running again
Can't you see now, illusions
Right into your mind
[Chorus]
Déjà vu
I've just been in this place before
Higher on the street
And I know it's my time to go
Calling you, and the search is a mystery
Standing on my feet
It's so hard when I try to be me, woah
Déjà vu
I've just been in this time before
Higher on the beat
And I know it's a place to go
Calling you and the search is a mystery
Standing on my feet
It's so hard when I try to be me, yeah
that is Deja Vu
