I would go to school the next day and talk about Kingdom hearts to my friends that also loved it... for the most part, we were living in the game. Oh and screw homework...
There is some happiness in the song too, though. Like reminiscing on pleasant memories with friends in the summer... Oh hey! Seriously, the music captured the context so well, and truly is a bittersweet sounding masterpiece.

@@nhytarhalys5909 Not just hearing as a kid. I first played this game last year at 22 and I still feel nostalgic. It just reminds you of the time this was released and I love it
Evilriku13 it could be worse it could be like the castle of Dreams. The guess are just starting to enjoy themselves. You look and there's only three people... Yep they're definitely enjoying themselves.
I think the saddest part of this segment is when Hayner, Pence, and Olette come and see off Sora, Donald, and Goofy after Roxas has merged with Sora. As they're saying goodbye, Sora visibly starts crying and doesn't know why. Later on in the train ride, he tells Goofy and Donald that he is legitimately sad. This is Roxas feeling all this. It's not helped by the fact that the Munny Pouch and the Blue Crystal appear in his inventory shortly before (two items that the Nobodies stole from Roxas), having been given them by King Mickey. You can feel Roxas still in there, kind of a sadder version of Nail and Kami from DBZ Abridged when they merge with Piccolo. They're still there, but no longer exist on their own
It actually feels like Roxas influences sora up until the last fight with xemnas After defeating demyx sora asks who’s next which is not something he would do however it is something roxas would
Songs like this really make you realize the inevitability of getting older. This is one song that defines my childhood. I remember sitting with my older brothers watching my eldest get through KH2 and I'd just laugh at the jokes they made at the game and was always on the edge of my seat when my brothers advanced. I was too young to really get through the game on my own. Now they're both gone living their lives. They've grown up and I'm working on doing the same. Life is funny sometimes.
Yoo exact same as me man, was never old enough to play the games myself so used to sit there and watch my older brother play and it was amazing, now he’s grown up and got his own house. Would do anything to go back
@@shayhaffenden5216 Its funny you comment this. I recently got to finish the series on PC and the first thing I did was call my brothers. It was really nice to reach out and have a lengthy conversation about KH with them.
This is the sound of lazy summer afternoons. Playing with your friends while the sun sets in the distance. Sitting on a grassy hillside and staring over your town. This is the sound of nostalgia.
it was a much simplier time. Even 9 years ago -- before covid -- it was more relaxing. Kind of wild and unique what has happened in such a short time period.
every single year, I come back to listen to this when it's the last day of summer. It's funny, like its some event I do every year. Now that years have passed after playing Kingdom Hearts (about 6 years), I'm back as a highschool graduate and os ready for college tomorrow :) dang, time goes so fast......
Im getting ready for my first day of school, playing this as I speak. I play the scene where Roxas says "Looks like my summer vacation is…over." right before bed the previous day. It's cheesy yeah but you're not alone, I do this as well lol
*A mysterious figure clocked in black can be seen leaping high into the top of the Twilight Town clock tower. They land lightly on the edge as they sit down next to you, quiet and observant.*
*A vandal by the name of Delsin Rowe appears and glides down gently onto the clock tower using his smoke thrusting powers he got from a DUP detainee named Hank Daughtry.* *He then proceeds to ask the pair of friends standing next to him a simple small talk question.* "So I noticed this town isn't exactly the most lively of them all. Does anything really happen in this town?"
I got this game for my 9th birthday. I let the prologue play for like a hour. It was so beautiful. I miss being that young. You didn't have to worry about anything in life. God bless.
Same, the year before i've got my nds. My mum let me chose a game in the store and had the chance to see this game, i looked the cover and I was intrigued so I bought it. I don't know why but i remember perfectly this scene :') PS: i know my english is bad but I wanted to share this little story
2005. 13 yrs old. 8th grade. All my friends. Not a care in the world. Drawing comics and watching TV after school with my twin brother. God I miss those times. We were so all young. Cherish the memories kids even as you grow older.
In 2005 I was in Pickering high school. It was a nightmare.... I had to run from bullies, get in a bin, seagulls pecked me for my chips, cars going round the school building playground while cops after them fireworks setting off in music class as the teacher ducked. But as I left Hull and came back too london in late 2006 and got kingdom hearts 2 which I so wanted to play it was a magical expiernce and cool expiernce. But listen to this while reading this. It might chill your mood....~~
It's an old summer in the early 00s. Your holiday homeworks were almost done and you've been passing those lazy last afternoons playing your favourite games with your friends, brothers, sisters and cousins. You still didn't realize that not only your summer vacation was ending, but your last carefree days too. That's why this soundtrack sums it up for all the other soundtracks we're tied to. Twilight Town is our childhood town.
Man this truly does embody the end of summer... A little melancholy, but hopeful for the future. I guess I should keep this for the end of summer... All summers.
I remember playing this game for the first time. My parents watched me play and they kept asking “WHERE ARE THE PARENTS” whenever Roxas and his friends were just chilling on the top of a clock tower.
How is it that our generation around the world (the nineties, early two thousand) feels already so nostalgic about their lives? Why it is that difficult to live our best years without melancholy? I am 24, and today, I am looking back to easier days as well, with this song. Sending love and support to you all guys ..
I needed to hear this. As a fellow late nineties kid, in my personal experience, the reason why we feel so nostalgic about the old times, is because back then, our lives were so much more simpler, but when we were younger, we were too busy complaining about the little things to focus on the bigger picture, and now that that's no more, we miss it. Moreover, our lives haven't exactly been the easiest either. Growing up, most of us lose friends close to us whom we thought would always be by our side, the burden of responsibilities that are shoved on our shoulders from a really young age, and the stress of becoming the best versions of ourselves, all while trying to balance our work, school and social lives while also trying to deal with the fresh new stress of adulthood and all the other drama surrounding it. Yeah. That's it
It is because we had the best childhood, growing up with all the new technologies and enjoying a time of peace and prosperity. Im from 1999, turned 25 this year. I remember growing up we had the walkman, ipod, ps1 and ps2, ps3 and xbox360. The times were so much cooler, new features were coming with the times and they were mindblowing back in the day. Now everything is pretty static, kids dont really go outside anymore and dont experience the same things we did. Most games nowdays dont even have a soul. We truly were blessed, and we didnt even see it when we were young.
I miss watching my older brothers play this game while I mindlessly watched. I hate growing up. I was only 7 or 8 when KH2 came out. It's scary how time flies so fast.
I would have completely missed this game if it wasn’t for my older brother and I can’t comprehend how different I would be kh really saved my life in hard times and I will always love this
The year is 2012 Coming back from school, super happy just to play this game Played it for 3 hours everyday Watching disney and cn on tv right after it Ridin bike 'round town with friends in the aftanoon 😌 I miss those days. I just missed it soo bad. This theme meant so much to me
I didn't grow up with kimgdom hearts it was actually one of my binges during the pandemic, i cannot tell you how nice it was to experience a game for the first time and yet have a feeling of nostalgia for it, it was like going through my childhood again, a route I never took, a world i never stepped foot in yet one i felt so happy to be in as if i just came home from a long day of school
Since 16 Years, i m Still coming every year to hear this masterpiece and to miss but also to be very thankful for the good old days. Cheers to everybody that may have the same childhood experience, I think our Summer Vacations is over but still lasts in our hearts…❤
You know, life could be like Twilight Town if we all worked together. It just hurts to see people searching for their own Twilight Town by taking it away from others
I replayed KH2 last year, and the feels i had when i heard this song. Almost shed a tear then m8. All the good memories in the past i loved gone. :( Barely any games with feels like the great nostalgia of Kingdom Hearts.
Matthew A. cant wait for kingdom hearts 2.5 only one motherfucker is going to annoy me though these three words will ruin my life when i fight him ... " DANCE WATER DANCE " god help us all xD
What I have to say: I feel so very very sorry for Roxas. He has been used by the organisation, got trapped in a generated reality and got false memories. He also HAD to fuse with Sora, meaning he couldn't See his friends ever again. His generated life seemed so nice and joyful, and, even though it was artifitial, I would have let him get back to that life and let him forget everything about the organisation, except Axel, maybe. Playing KH2 a second time, I really feel sorry for him :(
Hundred percent. He's one of the most tag if characters I've ever come across in a game. Almost anything he's involved with makes me sad because I know it's basically for nothing.
Heinoo I remember I used to hate him because that meant I wasn't able to play sora but now that I play it again on the Ps4 and I'm grown up I also feel sad
Someday we're all going to wish we were where we are now. Live your life to the fullest and don't ever take it for granted, even if you wish you were doing more. We only have so much time.
Man oh man...this reminds me of the good times. When I used to live at home with my parents, playing this game in my room eating ice cream and drinking lemonade. Felt like a kid again.
I loved the prologue of KH2, even know it always got flack because everyone wanted to play as Sora. Doesn’t help that when I first played KH2 on the PS2 I had never played KH1 or CoM, but even after playing all the KH games, the prologue where you play as Roxas is one of the most beautiful segments of any game ever. Really draws you into the game, makes you want to be there and discover the 7 wonders of Twilight Town with Roxas, Hayner, Pence and Olette. To more memories playing KH
haha I was the same... I got a PS2 and some games from a friend, and KH1/KH2 were included, but the KH1 disc never read in the PS2 so I just started with KH2. Recently, I was able to somehow get the KH1 disc to read on a disc drive and have it burned to a digital file, so I can play it on an emulator. Now that school's started up I have less time, but I'm so excited to continue experiencing KH1 for the first time, it's fantastic
damn- Back in the day when i used to sit on my couch and play for hours without worrying about anything. The school was easy. Friends weren't worrying about anything else and we just gathered in someone's home to play this game for hours. Years later, summer 2015. We all gathered to play it one last time. Since we were moving on to something else and all of us had busy lives starting from that point on. We completed it. Then we went separate ways, i got to a new school and that was that- It seems like that summer came to an end- but to be honest. I still live with it.
The tranquil, moderate bliss this song gives me is beautiful. I imagine a world where I can just chill on the clock tower and watch as the day goes by. Ahh I hope one day I can truly be free and experience this beauty in reality.
This game's soundtrack is honestly in my top 5 best music of all time. It is memorable and has tons of heart and soul. It is just perfect in every way! The Japanese know how to do it right and make melodic soundtracks instead of heavy drums and fat brass orchestral junk.
Yeah i agree the japanese are masters of melody, in many ways its similar to the way mozart was a master of melody in his time, classical music has somewhat changed to that platform just listen to dragon quest music from 8, etc etc, some of the pices are a bit simpler then that of the older classical music but sometimes thats even bettet since it makes the melody clearer and shine more, even though i dont play much jrpgs i am very aware of the music of dragon quest, this one and zelda as we all are i guess, any recomendations on similar classical music, game music? ( i know about final fantasy and like the music of 4 more then final fantasy 6, although terras theme and celes theme was really nice)
This game was the last one that I played before hitting puberty, and the music takes me to that extremely innocent time when I didn't have any worries on me except for completing my studies and sitting in front of the TV in the living room with all my family around me. It never felt the same after that last summer vacation.
Life has so many wonderful memories; saving birthday money as a kid to preorder KH2 was a dream come true. This theme has stuck with my throughout the years and so much as that kid who would spend hours to listen to this. Hearing it again takes me to a better place.
Veery good times playing KH2 when i was just a kid, running around the map beacuse i didnt know what i had to do there and change the keyblade every second. I miss this time soo much💔
I’m 20 now…. I miss being a kid , a very vivid memory watching my brother play this 😞makes me realize that my childhood is really behind me. 2005 is so far now
I had the same feeling. I also started playing kingdom hearts 2 on PS2 when I was a high school 10th grade student. Plus this game open up my heart and it showed me something and I enjoyed it.
It's been a while kingdom hearts 2. Just wanted to tell you thank you for giving me a wonderful childhood. Nothing can beat you. Just miss the old days and the days where everything was simple. You'll always live on in my heart.
This reminds me soooo much of being 13 years old and playing Kingdom Hearts 358/2 Days on my Nintendo DS back in 2011... I just wanna have sea salt ice cream, now.
It’s crazy how time flew one second I remember I was in middle school playing this game as a kid having no care in the world with my group of friends. We went throughout high school together having fun studying together playing this game together watching each other play each world and then we graduated some went to college some didn’t I did though. Now it’s crazy I have a career working like 40 hours a week and some of my friends have kids and careers too. The message I wanna say to those teens out there or even pre teens, enjoy your childhood go out with your friends enjoy life while it’s simple.
It really is a well constructed song both musically and thematically. It's calm and relaxing, like a happy memory but it's also slow and melancholic like it's a memory that precedes a somber one. Moving passed that, it serves as a thematic dirge, both for the end of summer vacation, and the end of Roxas' journey. No idea how much of that kind of symbolism was in mind when it was created for the game, but it really does encompass so much of that early story of KH2.
I studied both graphism and music. If you are an artist, you can do well in any art, it's the same root, your imagination and motivation lead your projects. You can draw, paint, compose, photograph, make movies, animate a 2D sketch, build pretty things with your hands. You have to learn everything but you can do everything, while some people will never do good in any art. You don't have to choose an art, you can choose to be an artist. You can even live your life as an artist, think free out of the bounds, be a philosopher
@@Orakwan I completely and utterly disagree with this. It's pretty vague to say that you're an artist, because not everyone excels in every area. It's not like you're either 100% good or bad at every art form. Just because you have imagination and motivation, doesn't mean you can draw as well you can write, because those activities require completely different skills beyond imagination. Writing is definitely my forte, as I'm pretty good with putting things into words, but that's a completely different skill set from transferring your visual imaginings to paper, or playing an instrument. In the first place, people with musical talent tend to be better with math, since it's a component of music. I'm so bad at math, it's not even funny, and I'm not a whole lot better at playing instruments. Also, just because you're artistic, doesn't necessarily mean you're philosophical. Of course, many traits tend to go hand-in-hand, but existential intelligence is still it's own area of intelligence. *Bottom line, various types of artistry require different mental and physical skill sets.*
@@bluedreamer6564 I can offer some nuance to your disagreement... Mastering a technical skill doesn't make you an artist, it makes you a technician. Some music composers don't have a clue what they're doing but they are instinctive and successful. If it sounds good in the end, that's what matters, even if for a trained musical engineer it might be awful. Can you say that an impressionist draws perfect body proportions or accurate lighting? Yet they are artists. Some good and others bad, some of them have skills. A technician might draw exactly like another famous artist, make copies or reproduce the exact feeling on other pieces he creates, but can be unable to make his own art. A haiku writer doesn't need to know a lot of vocabulary or grammatical rules to give a reader intense emotions, in only a few words. But sure, reading my 3 year old comment felt a bit extreme. I don't even draw or make music anymore but I still try to make things with the devotion and style of an artist. Giving anything I make the best I can, go beyond expectations, add a little touch of something more
@@Orakwan I understand where you're coming from a bit more, since you've elaborated, though I wasn't referring to "mastering technical skills," but one's *natural* capacity in any given area, due to neurological differences-such as the different types of intelligence-which result in various ways of expressing oneself as an artist. For example, I'd say I'm quite imaginative/creative/artistic, but, because I'm so bad with math, and not very left-brained, that, even if I were to practice music, I still wouldn't be any more naturally inclined toward it, than someone who was completely unartistic. With practice, even the most unartistic person will at least improve, but that still doesn't imply a natural inclination. You can be a Jack of all trades; a master of all trades; a Jack or master of just one, or a select few.
Twilight town is my favorite game world. The laidback cozy feeling of the town, the background music, all under that nice orange afternoon sky. It perfectly captures the feeling of being a kid during an afternoon summer.
I'm always back to this song,, miss my childhood, when i just playing kingdom hearts alone, in my room, and enjoy every moment. And right now, i just crying.
This reminds me of the end of a good dream, an abandoned town that has all the lights on and everything but nobody in it, a peaceful sunset, this song makes me want to cry somehow but at the same time it makes me so calm.
This song always reminded me of a summer eve. After a day where you spent hours just being yourself with your friends, the sun has started to set and your energy has waned. You're sitting in your favorite spot with those you trust most, possibly sharing a treat that you've taken a liking to or a local drink, and thinking about the day you've had. You smile and you can't wait for tomorrow to do it all again, but as the days go by you remember that summer doesn't last forever. Pure nostalgia.
Please take me back god. Coming back from school, having lunch and then swithching on the playstation 2 just to dive into this world of happiness. And during summer vacations, playing this was the best thing. Now iam doing an internship in a foreign country away from my family and suffering depression and anxiety. I am crying. Please god, let me be a child once more and experience that happiness once more.😭😭😍🥰
Hey you there buddy your circumstance sounds really difficult and challenging, And you will make it through it- Even if you have to change plans and adapt. Remember the values that this beautifully thematic series taught you; friendships family and love provide us strength, what is up to you is to is rising to the challenge, and I know you can. 💪🤩🤙
This music will always be nostalgic. Played KH2FM at my buddy Dylan's house when I was 5 or 6 (I'm 20 now. Turn 21 next month) & he was 10. He was in the Roxas part, and I never saw him get passed it nor did I know the name of the game. I went to Blockbuster with my grandma one time & I saw a game without a image on the box and it just said Kingdom Hearts so I asked her to rent it and it turned out to be the game Dylan was playing. Loved the series ever since, although KH3 was a little underwhelming on release.. I'm currently giving it another shot since I never got a chance to play the DLC.
I remember being like 13 or 14. I just had some teeth taking out because I was going to get braces. So I just purchased KH2. I remember feeling sick due to the teeth, but I wanted to play it. So I just put the game in my PS2 and when I heard this song I started to feel better. Then I just played the game and I had a blast! But I will always remember this song in that moment. I didn't knew how much I would like KH and how it shaped me. Videogames really were my friend when I was a kid, a teenager, and now I'm 29 and stil playing these games and they remind me so much of how times were easier...
Autumn has started. I'm as far away from home as I've ever been in a foreign country. I can't continue playing Kingdom Hearts until I return. See you back home, see you next year
I remember life being simple and clean... Me playing this game at my sanctuary where my fears and lies melt away... This game has given me too many things... Where I don't think twice not living in a kingdom of thieves... Now they let me face my fears and take the leap and taste what is bittersweet for all my life...
Ahhhh the nostalgic times, when u come home back from a long day at school as a kid, then u get on your PS2, your watching playing as roxas look out at the sunset of twilight town wondering what it would be like to be in twilight town with this background music playing
When Sora woke up and Roxas was gone, knowing that the friendship will never be known was always sad for me. The thought that you and your friends would never be remembered in an instant.😢
I tend to get this sense of nostalgia every time I listen to this tune. It breaks my heart but also makes me happy. Whoever helped make the themes for this game is literally a genius.
I remember back when i was about 10 years old, barely understand english, i don't know what i should do to progress the game so i just go around twilight town listening to this music, it's the most nostalgic moment to be had from my childhood
Sinto falta do sentimento que esse jogo me passava quando eu era criança e ia pra casa do meu pai, passava horas andando de skate com o roxas até ele me mandar desligar o video game, nunca vou me esquecer desses momentos que eu passei contigo meu pai 🕊️
As I got older I really appreciated the start of Kingdom Hearts II the part I wanted to get over with the most now lives rent free in my head. This song brings back good memories of summer holidays, playing this game, seeing my friends, feeling like the 6 weeks I have off lasted forever. Now at 29 years old. 6 weeks off feels like 6 days. I want to go back.
This came out when I was at 9th grade. I remember even longing for this track to play because post-game was playing The Afternoon Streets instead. I think it's because I had become attached to Roxas story, I still am to this day. KH II will always be a monument among the series' instalments.
Played this game for the first time 2 years ago at this time. I finished it early quarantine and I can easily say that this is my favourite game of all time
Heh, here's something funny: I never beat kh1 before going into kh2. (I didn't even know that chain of memories existed..). So I always thought that roxas was an older sora from a parallel universe....
Me as well. I was so confused. Was all, "who's that guy? He's not the guy in the commercials!" Who's that blonde girl? Three hours later...title screen. Lol!
It looks like my summer vacation is over.

Exactly, the whole city to me always felt like the end of a fun journey, so sad.
Ouch, right in the childhood.
Exactly!!!
I know just how you feel. Hearing this I'm like "Oh! The nostalgia!" I wish I was a kid again.
I like the Game Boy Advance SP version. If you played chain of memories for the SP, you probably heard this song there before you heard it in KH2.
Yeah
They're still there, but no longer exist on their own
U know u can just say sadder version of nail and piccolo that happened in the real show as well
bruh
It actually feels like Roxas influences sora up until the last fight with xemnas
After defeating demyx sora asks who’s next which is not something he would do however it is something roxas would
Sora: This is amazing, I feel incredible. Yes yes yes. I can win, I feel great I can-
Roxas: umm what are you doing.
Shut up Nail!!

26 years old and just recently played through every KH game thanks to the PS4 collection and emulation. Never let the kid in you die, my friend.
So you don't talk with your siblings?
This is the sound of lazy summer afternoons. Playing with your friends while the sun sets in the distance. Sitting on a grassy hillside and staring over your town.
This is the sound of nostalgia.
I've only ever had moments like this while living in Japan.
This is also what i imagine every time i hear this song.

_"Not really, it's quite peaceful, here in twilight town."_
"Well that sucks. I was really hoping to be able to use my powers. But a peaceful town is as good as any other town I guess."

I got this game for my 9th birthday. I let the prologue play for like a hour. It was so beautiful. I miss being that young. You didn't have to worry about anything in life. God bless.
You're Right.
You're Right.
Same, the year before i've got my nds. My mum let me chose a game in the store and had the chance to see this game, i looked the cover and I was intrigued so I bought it. I don't know why but i remember perfectly this scene :')
PS: i know my english is bad but I wanted to share this little story

Well, how about that! I got it for my 9th birthday as well!
2005. 13 yrs old.
We're the same age, this was also when I started playing KH II. Good times.
@@BJ-zd2or Pickering? London? You an Ontarian?
It's an old summer in the early 00s. Your holiday homeworks were almost done and you've been passing those lazy last afternoons playing your favourite games with your friends, brothers, sisters and cousins. You still didn't realize that not only your summer vacation was ending, but your last carefree days too.
That's why this soundtrack sums it up for all the other soundtracks we're tied to. Twilight Town is our childhood town.
Funny. Back then I wanted nothing more than to grow up.
Indeed
And your about to go up the tower and eat sea salt popsicles.
I've gone back to 11yrs old again :')...
fucking lol. i know that feel...
Oh yeah this time was awsome
Yeah, same here, man.
The memories never fade
I've gone back to being 9 years old...when I first got KH II for the PS2...now I'm 23 and still get touched by this song..I miss being a kid...😭
Man this truly does embody the end of summer... A little melancholy, but hopeful for the future. I guess I should keep this for the end of summer... All summers.
No
I kept it for the end of 2021’s summer
I remember playing this game for the first time. My parents watched me play and they kept asking “WHERE ARE THE PARENTS” whenever Roxas and his friends were just chilling on the top of a clock tower.
Well, you see... when a Keyblade and a Somebody love each other _very much..._

Yes true
I would have completely missed this game if it wasn’t for my older brother and I can’t comprehend how different I would be kh really saved my life in hard times and I will always love this
The year is 2012
Coming back from school, super happy just to play this game
Played it for 3 hours everyday
Watching disney and cn on tv right after it
Ridin bike 'round town with friends in the aftanoon 😌
I miss those days.
I just missed it soo bad.
This theme meant so much to me
Roxas is probably by far my favorite character in kh. He's had it so rough.... Even though he is sora's nobody. I feel so bad for him xion and axel...
Germ TheWorm they do have the best friendship in the entire series. Perhaps one day they will all meet again.
Kyle Lindgren 👨🏾💻
Emo boy. He's annoying.
Brings me memories... Good old days.
Since 16 Years, i m Still coming every year to hear this masterpiece and to miss but also to be very thankful for the good old days.
Cheers to everybody that may have the same childhood experience, I think our Summer Vacations is over but still lasts in our hearts…❤
This town has a peaceful vibe
You know, life could be like Twilight Town if we all worked together. It just hurts to see people searching for their own Twilight Town by taking it away from others
Its crazy seeing people talk about growing up and this song being nostalgic when I played this game for the first time last year

What's crazier is you think its crazy that people have separate experiences from yourself. OP is solipsistic af

There was KH2 for PlayStation 2 back around in 2010. Probably playing the newer version for PS4/5 :)

The BGM and vibes of that place sent me here immediately. So nostalgic
same here actually. when I heard the music in that area I immediately began crying because of the wave of nostalgia
Same here.
So much feels.
I replayed KH2 last year, and the feels i had when i heard this song. Almost shed a tear then m8. All the good memories in the past i loved gone. :(
Barely any games with feels like the great nostalgia of Kingdom Hearts.
Matthew A. cant wait for kingdom hearts 2.5 only one motherfucker is going to annoy me though these three words will ruin my life when i fight him ... " DANCE WATER DANCE " god help us all xD
Yoooo i hate that guy so much. I don't need any KH2.5 tooo. I have the OG PS3 and it emulates PS2 game like KH2
Yeah but final mix and trophy support man.
Gonna be worth it just for the Roxas fight imo, it looks epic :)
What I have to say:
I feel so very very sorry for Roxas.
How can one song bring back so much feelings
Same with dearly beloved the kh1 one was way better than the others an absolute classic

This song feels like a thick silky blanket. I want to wrap myself in it.
Living Memory kinda looks and sounds like Twilight Town. Amazing. The nostalgia made the area that much better for me.
damn- Back in the day when i used to sit on my couch and play for hours without worrying about anything. The school was easy. Friends weren't worrying about anything else and we just gathered in someone's home to play this game for hours. Years later, summer 2015. We all gathered to play it one last time. Since we were moving on to something else and all of us had busy lives starting from that point on. We completed it. Then we went separate ways, i got to a new school and that was that-
It seems like that summer came to an end- but to be honest. I still live with it.
The tranquil, moderate bliss this song gives me is beautiful. I imagine a world where I can just chill on the clock tower and watch as the day goes by. Ahh I hope one day I can truly be free and experience this beauty in reality.
Smokey ZeeNo one day my friend one day
have you experienced this feeling now ?
This game's soundtrack is honestly in my top 5 best music of all time. It is memorable and has tons of heart and soul. It is just perfect in every way!
The Japanese know how to do it right and make melodic soundtracks instead of heavy drums and fat brass orchestral junk.
That's Yoko Shimomura for you (God I hope that's spelled right).
Have any of you heard the 2.5 version of this theme? It's AMAZING.
Well calm down with that of the orchestra bullshit.
HAVE ALL MY FEELS. TAKE THEM AND GO
This game was the last one that I played before hitting puberty, and the music takes me to that extremely innocent time when I didn't have any worries on me except for completing my studies and sitting in front of the TV in the living room with all my family around me.
2005 is so far now
Know that feeling. Played kingdom hearts ps2 when I was 10. But we have still can enjoy stuff
You're still very young, you should enjoy it. Give it another 10 years and you'll be looking back at the current time with the same nostalgia.
I had the same feeling. I also started playing kingdom hearts 2 on PS2 when I was a high school 10th grade student. Plus this game open up my heart and it showed me something and I enjoyed it.
Looks like my summer vacation is over...

It's been a while kingdom hearts 2. Just wanted to tell you thank you for giving me a wonderful childhood. Nothing can beat you. Just miss the old days and the days where everything was simple. You'll always live on in my heart.
Somehow, this song is my safe place. My days could be going really really bad, and I come to this video, and it makes everything disappear. 😭
This reminds me soooo much of being 13 years old and playing Kingdom Hearts 358/2 Days on my Nintendo DS back in 2011... I just wanna have sea salt ice cream, now.
For me it’s kh2 on the ps2 but it’s the same feeling

If this song was a painting, it would be gorgeous
WrongTime That would look amazing.. sad... beautiful..... just breathtaking..
INCREÍBLE ESTA BSO!

Twilight town is my favorite game world. The laidback cozy feeling of the town, the background music, all under that nice orange afternoon sky.
It perfectly captures the feeling of being a kid during an afternoon summer.

And right now, i just crying.
This reminds me of the end of a good dream, an abandoned town that has all the lights on and everything but nobody in it, a peaceful sunset, this song makes me want to cry somehow but at the same time it makes me so calm.
It's like a near death experience.
Kingdom Hearts music is always a joy to listen to during the summer.
Please take me back god. Coming back from school, having lunch and then swithching on the playstation 2 just to dive into this world of happiness.
Been having a hard time lately, and listening to this calms my nerves and takes me back to simpler times, it gives me a push to do better everyday.
hearing this as a kid its cozy and comforting, hearing it as an adult is sad and nostalgic.
I played this game in 2006 when I was 10. Today I got married at 29 and we played this song during my wedding, life is a rollercoaster.
I’m still a kid yet this brings back memories where my grandpa was still alive, good times they were
Autumn has started.
Now they let me face my fears and take the leap and taste what is bittersweet for all my life...
i see what u did there :)
Ahhhh the nostalgic times, when u come home back from a long day at school as a kid, then u get on your PS2, your watching playing as roxas look out at the sunset of twilight town wondering what it would be like to be in twilight town with this background music playing
I'm always playing this a day before school starts.... because my summer is almost over.....
*bursts into tears because of Roxas instead*
When Sora woke up and Roxas was gone, knowing that the friendship will never be known was always sad for me. The thought that you and your friends would never be remembered in an instant.😢
I tend to get this sense of nostalgia every time I listen to this tune. It breaks my heart but also makes me happy. Whoever helped make the themes for this game is literally a genius.
Summer is coming guys ^^
Next week is my last week!

Remembers me of people I once met and now, so many years later, wonder how they are doing around there
As I got older I really appreciated the start of Kingdom Hearts II the part I wanted to get over with the most now lives rent free in my head.
I finished it early quarantine and I can easily say that this is my favourite game of all time
nostalgia...
Lol!
I mean, that's not too far off, actually.
0:13 that hit me pretty hard.. im I heartless to forget a good game?
