I love the calmer approach Roxas's version of Twilight Town is. It perfectly gives off the laid back feeling of living somewhere peaceful, while Sora's version is more like visiting somewhere peaceful.
Just listened to this in front of the sunset, eating a popsicle, and on the day before my first day of my high school senior year. Looks like my summer vacation is... over.
good luck to the both of you! i listened to this with some icecream and, well while there wasnt a sunset, it was the sunrise, on my last day before the start of my higschool freshman year! guess these experiences are going all around, huh.
I used to live beside this abandoned big house, me and my best friend when we were 8 and 6 years old, we would get on the roof at sunset and talk about the things we want to be and do when we are older. We are 30 and 28 now, and she's the bestest thing in the world to me!!!! 💍💙💍 so this music feels like we are still up there as kids.

I like them both. They both portray the character's thoughts and emotions. Roxas is a more somber person than Sora, so Twilight Town's theme is a sorrowful with a minor sound of peace and joy. Sora, however, is very bubbly and happy soul, so his version of Twilight Town has a more bliss tone to it, but has an underlying tone of sorrow. They are opposites, and I think that it was such a cool touch to the game. I also think that the opposite tones in each song refers to Roxas having "the boy from the dreams" close to his heart, and Sora literally having Roxas in his heart.

Same here. I started the KH series in about 2017 or 2018 iirc but the series feels just as nostalgic to me as Final Fantasy does, a series I've loved to death since I was a kid. It's incredible how a series I've had just 4-ish years of experience with makes me feel as nostalgic as a series that I've played for nearly 20 years does. In fact when I was a kid I hated Kingdom Hearts when I saw it, it was too "childish" for me and I only liked Final Fantasy because of the more mature aesthetic hahah. Now FF and KH are easily my two favorite franchises of all time. Love them both to death.

I'm currently relaxing in my room listening to this. Today's been very boring. But I like that. It doesn't feel like anyone's at each other's throats, even though I'm completely seperated from everyone else. But I like having that peace. I don't have to deal with my vulgar brother unless he comes in here. It feels great. I wish it happened more often.
I used to sit on the roof of my barn out in the middle of no where, watching the pasture and the horses in the afternoon sun. I would dream of city life and being able to play with other kids my age. I wanted to go out in the world and experience it. Now as an adult, I dream of those quiet and peaceful times. Had I only known adult life to be so chaotic
I have to say this is much better than afternoon streets. This song just gives the feeling of a beutiful calm sunset. I guess it is kind of one of Roxas's songs so atleast that's neat.
I think this version of Lazy Afternoon captures the feel of Twilight Town, as a town filled with people. I think that the texture of this piece is much thicker than the original KH2 version but still captures the same tone of the original. I still love the original, but both versions are damn good!
This track makes me tear up every time I hear it since I was playing this game about a year ago and was in the intro sequence and listening to this song when I was informed that one of my friends had died in a car accident… still miss you buddy. Great song for having this much emotional power though.
The music is wonderful as always, however I can't unsee Roxas awkwardly holding two keyblades in that picture. A funny, unintentional optical illusion there :P
Without a doubt, one of my favourite soundtracks in KH2. The whole theme has this bittersweet vibe into it; It's beautiful, somber yet sad at the same time which perfectly fits Roxas's story. A bit off topic but playing through Roxas's story made me realize how I'm a bit more lonely than I thought. We can see in Roxas's story that he and his friends always hang out together and just have fun together yet I rarely experienced that with my friends. The majority of the times,I just spend my time playing games by myself(at least back then compared to now). Not to mention,I rarely hang out with them as it's just awkward for me to do so. I just don't fit in with them and I think that's okay, perhaps I'm better off like this
I’m feel the same as you, video games was part of my childhood, this being one of them. The reason I never bothered with people in high school was that I was focused on graduating the whole time, but I felt still happy with a smile on my face and video games are still a part of me, that playing Xenoverse 2 actually gave me the same feeling like Kingdom Hearts which lead to me creating Anya Alberts, my Saiyan Hybrid CaC and giving her a similar feel to Sora for his happy go lucky personality and Roxas for more straight to the point and serious attitude.
And now I can relieve the song, the game, and the memories, all on kingdom hearts 2 final mix on PS3 and PC with mods showing the uncensored version of the original uncut elements that made Kingdom hearts 2 final mix with the greatest game on earth.
This song make me nostalgic for things I’ve never experienced. I know that doesn’t make sense but I feel like I was the one eating sea salt ice cream and skateboarding through twilight town.
