I actually esitmate to make around 34-40k a year from waitering tables on the weekend alone as a senior in college and recently bought the model y performance at 615$ for 5 years ultizing the 0% apr interst rate. Still live with my parents and they pay for the insurance. So overall the car payment is my only monthly payment at this point and I'm fine with that. Still a dumb financial decision but oh well i'm happy and striving to work more. Currently a senior in college commuting.
I bought a 2024 Tesla Model 3 Long Range. I decided not to lease this time. $384 a month over 6 years. Between the incentives and my trade in 2021 Toyota Camry (it was paid off) that’s why monthly payments are low. Loving the car.
I was going to lease a Tesla but the MY an M3 there is no buy-out option at the end of the lease. If you go over the allowed km you have the pay the mileage rate. Similarly if they deem excessive damage upon return, you have to pay it.
Cold affects the range a lot here's my experience from the last two years. I have a 2023 MYP and I'm NJ. I get 120 miles from a charge of 95% down to 5% in the winter. In the summer, I got 180 miles. Yeah those are real world range numbers driving in chill mode and using the car like a normal person (mixed highway/city driving , heat on etc). Still a great car if you don't have to drive far. I supercharge once a week during off peak hours and it cost $15 and takes 45 mins.
Here's how much you should be making to afford a Tesla Model S, 3, X, Y.... Strange question but right now I’m making 85k/yr as a software developer and am less than 3 years into my career. I’m doing very well at what I’m doing and really love what I do, and I feel like I have a lot of earning potential. Would it be stupid to bet on having higher pay in the next few years to make the cost not be as much of a burden if I buy now?
Congrats on the career man! Really depends and you’ll have to make that decision for yourself but personally I wouldn’t get an “expensive” car before having any assets. Thanks for watching and please consider subscribing

I wanna get a model 3 performance, saving up as much as I can. I currently have $25k saved
Great goal dude!

The reasons why I financed this one! Thanks for watching and please consider subscribing
Model 3 LR, financed 1.99 from tesla. How does the cold effect your range? TY for the info.
Congrats! It affects it quite a bit. Usually 20% drop. Thanks for watching and please consider subscribing!

When you talk about what you should be making a month, is it gross or net?

Good content! 110$/month for insurance is fair. Can i ask which insurance company?
Thank you! Aviva
I'd like to get a BMW i4 (and more $3000/yr on premium fuel!), but have to admit that the Tesla3 dominates it technically for slightly less.
BMWs tend to have nicer interiors and materials, but for the price they’re hard not to justify. Thanks for watching and please consider subscribing!
I make 55-60k looking to buy a used one around 20-25..
Sweet! Best of luck. Thanks for watching
😮
🥵
Nice carbon Tissot 😮
New release!
Plan to purchase, refuse to pay a cent more by owing interest.
If you have the means to pay cash, then I don’t blame you!
