Hello new friend! I recently got one of these for my car that was pre tpms... it works good for that. I also got a TireMinder recently. I actually scored a new one for the channel. It alerted me of a leak on my trailer on my first trip and saved me a blowout.
Can you provide a link to the tpms you bought? I see a bunch that look like it but not sure whiich one you actual have. Any update on performance now that you have had it for a while?
It's a generic one, made in China of course. As for updates, two: 1) the batteries in tire senders die about every two years. Batts are cheap and not a big deal to replace them except: 2) like ANY metal cap on metal tire stems, here in SALTY northeast they can corrode and stick, making removal difficult. Despite monitoring pressure constantly, I now unscrew and replace the senders twice a year anyway, just to keep able to.
I must have gotten the defective one, my batteries died over the winter and I replaced the batteries only 1 receiver seems to have activated. none of the senders seem to work even after I reset everything. The directions are terrible trying to figure out what HH means in the setup...lol
You do NOT reset it when you change the batteries! What you did probably erased the pairings. Google for how to pair "new" senders. As for battery death, i buy cards of batteries from China... may only last a couple years but only dimes...
Do you have a video review of the features and programming? Is it user friendly? I'm in the market for some but don't want to break the bank and these seem ok.
No video specifically for that but it's very straight forward... select units, high temp, high/low pressures. The only catch is that limits on mine are not tire specific if you need that (all tires per unit share limits).
My sensors and their lock nuts completely corroded and fused together with the valve! I know that I should have put grease on the treads but, now, how do I get them off?!
I end up taking mine off every couple months to adjust air, so maybe just (un)screw them whether you need air or not periodically. If stuck already, spray threads with penetrating oil and carefully work until they release...
I hate to put links in since prices and sources change, but you can get the TPMS on AliExpress (cheaper, slower) or Amazon (faster, marked up) by searching "solar TPMS". I got one for $17 on sale, another for $20... The TR416 stems are on Amazon: www.amazon.com/dp/B01BRVCQ7K/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_i_UuIrDb4WF8Q8S
@@GyroGearlooseHelis Great video. Thanks for mentioning about the valve stems. I installed one on my dodge neon. I notice the pressure was a bit low after a few days. I'm going to put more air to see if I continue to lose pressure. I have new tires on.
1) It's really not much harder than unscrewing the normal caps. 2) stem mount sensors were my preference... you can get internal for the same cost. 3) even expensive monitors like TM have external sensors available... you don't know the product.
Thanks for your input. Mine is still going strong BUT I change tire batteries every Spring preemptively for the season. They last me a year and I don't ask more. As one of the only RV channels NOT funded by the products or ads ("bought"), I appreciate other's experiences, so thanks for letting us all know.
Very well presented, clear and jolly interrogative. Many thanks.
well researched and very informative, many thanks mate

Excellent disclosure. Interested in buying this bc my batteries are dead in my car sensor.
absolutely thank you

What name bran is this and are you still having success with it

Can you provide a link or info on the system and stems you used?
The system was on AliExpress... search "solar TPMS" and compare prices. The "TR416" metal stems I got from Amazon, I think $7-8/4...
@@GyroGearlooseHelis Thank you! I order 2 systems as I dont have a system in my truck.

@@GyroGearlooseHelis WD40 and a normal wrench worked. But I damaged the valve's rubber a bit in the process. Thanks!
can you put the links in your comments?

Is this accurate?? How much difference with actual readings??
Dead on...
Where did you buy it from
Aliexpress... chinese exporter.
I don’t understand why you would make a video on a product and never give the name of it lot of help this was
It's a generic product, and i'm not a shill for any one vendor. You can search "solar tpms" on AliExpress.com ...and pick your favorite seller.
100% piece of CRAP. Each time one want to add or release pressure then you need to get your spanner to remove the nut.I give it -100 on 10

Garbage. I owned one. Always getting the rubber seal stuck in the valve, batteries die quick as well. Cheap Chinese junk.
