Oh hey Cayley, fyi, down puffers in the more technical outdoor brands are still in demand in summer. People who backpack in the mountains need them even in the summer. Think brands in the family of REI, Marmot, Mountain Hardwear, Arcteryx, Patagonia, etc
Truth
I think people just see the jaw-dropping headline of your banners. They are perhaps not absorbing that you have scaled your business with employees and other costs to the point where you can find, listing and sell 300+ items per week. You are super talented in terms of choosing brands and do the hard work of knowing which to select, but at the end of the day, eBay is a numbers game. The more you list, the greater your chances of a sale. Anyone who is throwing shade is probably not understanding this equation.

OK I had to come back to your video and share that bc Ive been watching these, I was able to pick up some brands yesterday I woiuld never have given a second look. Yesterday I picked up Outdoor Voices, Soft Surroundings, Carbon 38, a few random summer gauze/cotton items. I am interested in learning about vintage tommy and polo, so I picked up a few pairs of jeans. Huge shoutout to you spending your time and sharing your knowledge of items that are "bread and butter" that I would have passed up. Thank you!

Your right about Tommy Bahama. I bought a silk blend that had a tiny hole and a faded spot and another one that had armpit fade area and they both sold within a month. I am looking out for more!

Well Pooey on the "heat" that's what I have to say about that. Thanks again for sharing your expertise! My business is growing because of people like you coupled with my hard work. I listen, learn and apply! ;) I'm so excited to see what the rest of this year is going to do. May I tied my highest month since I came back two years ago. This J month has the possibility of being my highest sales month ever based on my sales these first 8 days! (Opposite of slowdown over here ) I have made so many changes over the last 5 months! And it's starting to show up in my sales! I'm so excited. I am hopeful the rest of my year and 4th quarter are going to be even bigger if my sales are growing in J months! I can't wait to watch your promoted video. I did double my promotion rate a couple weeks ago. Odd thing is many of my sales have NO promotion fees involved ;) Trying "all" the things and things are working. Not bad for this 67 year old :) I'm on such a high...

Hello! Thank you! I love the idea of adding in some more numbers. It may take me a moment to incorporate additional things into these videos. For now, I can tell you that I am sitting at 7,760 active listings, we list 280 items active every week, and last month I sold a total of 1,441 items. So a month store str of about 18.6%.

I know your set up is different but I still find the info very interesting. I don't ever see most of the brands you mention but I think sometimes availability may be regional. Still no reason for any hate.
Cailey, do you send offers to likers or watchers as soon as eBay recommends or do you wait a certain amount of time to see if it sells for full asking price before sending out offers? Thank you so much!
I do it as quickly as I can. But I usually just send bulk offers a few times a day. I don't beat myself up over the exact timing.
If I may ask a question...I know that clothes sold on EBay need to be laundered befire they're listed. My question is do you also have to DryClean items that are instructed as such? I believe it was your advice to look at the racks outside the changing rooms @ GW to see what was placed there. I did this one day and found five piece of Eileen Fisher which call for dry cleaning. If I must, I must but the cost takes a bite out of profits. I appreciate your opinion.
Most items are donated clean and most items will be washed by the buyer before wearing them. We do not additionally clean or steam unless it's obviously needed and we in general do not pick up anything that doesn't appear clean.

I would pay attention to when stores swap to fall clothing. That's an indicator that you should too. People typically start buying a couple of months before the season starts.

Hi! We have a half shell mannequin that we use if an item really needs shape. I used to use it for every item. I switched to mostly hangers to save time. I didn't notice a dip in sales and I was able to get more listed. Win win!
I have been noticing how much time it takes to redress the mannequin and always wonder if it is worth it. I am thinking of switching to hanging. Thank you for your response your videos are very helpful! 😊
Is it REI or TREI? Because The tree design right next to the R kind of looks like a T. You know how some brands try to make a design out of one of their letters.? Anyway, just curious.

Can someone explain how income taxes factoring into this? I know that it could be a case by case basis but just a general idea.
I would speak with a cpa but essentially you would want to hold back a % from your net profits (assuming that you can deduct your expenses at the end of the year)
I have come across some haters on a Facebook group recently for asking for help on improving my sell thru rate. They accused me of just bragging about my 90 day total and they kicked me out of the group…for asking for help. I realized then how strong the haters are in the reseller community. It’s a shame.

@Garb_Girl we sometimes do store reviews in the Reseller's Edge group. It's the same price per month as a store review would be, maybe consider trying it for a month? Mondays call (tomorrow) will be doing store reviews for people on the call and we can check str. We also did a review call last Monday and you can watch the replay. ☺️

@@cayleyelaine The recommended format is Brand, Item (Shirt, Pants, etc), Gender, Size ( without the word size), Color, Keywords.
