… There’s lore here.
First of all, the OC (yes, I’m keeping the naming from my original comment) not expecting the door to open is because they tried _so many times_ before. Solid reference to the montage from the original video.
Second, the 8-Ball. I think it’s _implied_ that a false copy of the room is in there, but that might be my own misinterpretation. BUT, if there is a false copy of the room, OC has the ability to enter and exit it, while the self-insert is trapped.
Thirdly, the TV. Somehow, someway, OC is still able to use that thing, even with a broken screen. There might be something up with that.
Fourthly and finally… the skeleton in the windowsill at 0:09. Sentient, small, shy. Very adorable, hopefully a recurring character.
And… that’s all I’ve got. I really should get around to making that video essay, tbh.
