I was looking at some of the big store mowers, some with well known names, could have spent about 1K less, but ended up getting this mower (bigger deck though). I've put nearly nine hours on it and it was well worth it. It's built strong and cuts well.
Hey Thanks for the review, i bought my self a commercial X series 72 inch cut to do my 4 acres, when i paid 4.2K for it i said to my self thats a lot of money for lawn mower, now i still tell my friends best $4.2K i ever spent, and if you think 7MPH is fast try X series 72 inch cut, it goes double the speed 14MPH, when i showed up to pick it up i could not believe how massive it is, its built to go through a brick walls, i swear looks like a Tank. and mine shows the gas level on the digital screen. Exmark is a beast of a machines.
I have a 2011 50” quest and now have 3500hrs on it. It does have the Kawasaki engine. I service it at the beginning of mowing season with the Kawasaki service kit. It cuts normal grass perfectly but not so much with bahaia grass. I up graded this year with a radius 48” cut with the exmark made engine. I hope it gives the same service as the quest.
Excellent review of this mower! I'm looking at a left behind 2019 model. It was between this mower and the Ultima ZT2. Still undecided on the mower I'm going to get but this review gave me a lot of information!
You won't be disappointed buying an Exmark...the yellow machine isn't in the same ballpark as red. Yellow will never last or be as reliable and its not even close. Look at the warranty for each and that will tell you who is confident in their products
Good info. You helped me make my decision to buy a 2017 leftover. I found a quest 50 ( new old stock .2 hours and faded paint) for 2700.00. can't wait to try it out.
Oh forgot to say, reason why i went with Best Machine out there, cause i hurt my back by doing my lawn in a tractor, cause it bounced a lot, a did not paid attention first than later i could not even stand anymore because of pain, been a year since my 72 inch Exmark ( with suspension seat ) and all my pain went away, its a Rolls Royce of Lawn mowers.
I've always had commercial ExMark Zero Turn Lazer Z's, used, but now looking to buy a new Lazer Z and I want either a 60 inch or 72 inch deck with kohlor engine under $10,000.00, must be new. I'd also like to add a striper to the mower. The ExMark commercial grade beats any mower on the market!
I have two 72" lazer z exmarks x series. They both are 14995. Worth every penny. Top of the line mowers and will out mow anything out there. You dont have to go all out like I did. But I've been in the business for 15 years and they will certainly make their money back and then some.
Just looked at a 2021 Lazer E series with 25HP Kohler EFI and 60" deck - $9500 special offer until end of May. Only $500 more than the Radius X Series - no brainer.

hi sir i have a problem with our new mower just like this and we only have 13hrs inn on it,but our problem is it start but die,i already clean the caburator change the fuel line new,fuses new ignition, new solinoid,new new gas but it die.
Hello. If it is new, take it back to the dealer you purchased it from. EXmark mowers have a 3 year warranty. I am not a mechanic, so I really cannot help you diagnose your mower problem.
I am looking at Exmark Quest with the 54in deck and the 708cc engine. The dealer doesn't have the year listed, but it appears to be 2015. I have one commercial property (county fairgrounds) that I mow that is about 4 acres and has a few steep drainage ditches and ruts. I mow this about every two weeks. Most of my residential lots I will use my push mower. Do you think I would be pushing this mower too hard to mow something that large? I hate to spend any more money since I only have this 1 commercial sized job. Thank you!
It depends on the toughness of the grass and the frequency in which you mow it. If there are steep drainage ditches, I would suggest a mower with a ROPS. Exmark mowers are very bullet proof but a 2015 model may have been used just too much.

I actually have two Titans. The MyRide 60" and the new Titan Max. They are all different animals. This Quest S is a bit below the Titan in terms of features. The Titan is more like the Radius series. The motor is more than likely a kawasaki motor with the exmark name on it I have a 2007 exmark quest with a 22hp briggs and stratton I like the deck on it better than the newer ones it's thicker
These dealers sure are salesmen. I never made the video about how my dealer tried to sell me the previous model with 26 hours on it as brand new at the same price.....I should.
I work at an Exmark dealership. It was designed by Exmark, and is built by Loncin of China. I have been with that group for 3 months, we have fixed just about one of everything on the planet; Briggs, Kohler, Tecumseh, Lawson, Subaru, Stihl, Husqvarna, Poulan, Yamaha...but have not had to touch a Kawasaki or a Exmark engine. End of story.
@@martianshoes just to add to this, as someone who has worked in the landscape industry for years. I have never had a problem with a Kawasaki engine that kept me from finishing the day before I worked on it. Can't say that about any other brand, especially Kohler.

Have you mowed with it along any kind of bank or slope?? We have a bank on the side of our lot that varies from 18-25 degrees depending on what part of the bank Im on. Will this mower handle going horizontal along the bank?? Ive used a grasshopper and walker from the cemetery I mow at on our bank last summer and they did it just fine
I have some slight banks and slopes on my property but they are less than the manufacturers safety recommendation of 15 degrees. We know that those specs are always exaggerated for legal purposes though. The mower is amazing and built well but I can’t advise you to exceed the safer manuals specs.
I bought the QTS691KA502 in 2012 for $4k. They wanted more than $4k, and I had them price match a Toro Timecutter with the same Fabricated deck at the Home Depot price. One mistake I made... I typically like to keep it clean, with air from an 18V cordless blower, but I had power washed it a couple times, & used the deck wash feature a few times. YOU DONT WANT WATER TO GET UNDER THE SEAT WHERE THE INTERLOCK Safety crap is. My Interlock had a little moisture, & it was expensive to replace the control module crap. I should've disconnected that crap but I didn't know washing the mower would screw up those little electrical connections. 😕
@@CountryLivingExperience I am with an Exmark dealer. It is made by a firm called Loncin in the PRC. Quality Control is very good. As for it being a "Kohler clone" show me a Kohler with a 2 barrel carburetor. We are seeing excellent service and reliability from these and Kawasaki power plants.

It depends. What type of lawns would your clients have. If they are flat smooth small suburban lawns, I would say yes. If they are larger estate style lawns, I would say no. In a commercial setting being used 10 to 15 times a day it is going to get a ton more wear and tear. Even though I live on a larger property, I only use it at most 2 times per week.

No. That is like comparing apples and oranges. Not even close to the same price. You cannot compare an $8500 commercial mower with this pro-sumer version of the eXmark. The Hustler SD would be comparable.
Worst mistake I ever made I had my mower a year and it been broken almost the whole year and Exmark will not fix it. I was told they will help me sale it at a $3000 dollar loss, now I mow with a 12 year old bad boy with no trouble and the exmark sets broken.
I just purchased a used 2018 eXmark and the information that you provided is misleading. Their is a difference between the E Series and S Series in regards to the location of the hour meter and type os seat. You should be specifying that you are reviewing the S Series.

I actually now have a Toro Titan with the MyRide suspension. I have a bad back too and the suspension saved me some pain for sure.

Hows that motor held up. My dealer told me they were junk motors about like a Briggs and Stratton.

Is this mower good for a short person of 5' 2"? Is the seat adjustable enough for me to reach the pedal?
Absolutely. It has an adjustable seat. The only pedal that you need to touch is to raise/lower the deck.
I always say Exmark is the best mower. What I experienced. Just my opinion👍

This mower was bullet proof. I put it through some tough tests.

I agree. The low end Radius model is only $700 more than the Quest S and is better suited for commercial applications.

It doesn't stripe well, unlike the other models: laser or turf tracers. But it's a great mower and gives a good cut.
Mine stripes fine. Obviously the lazer model will give a better cut as it is a professional grade mower (and is priced much higher as well).
Check out the Husler X1. Lot more mower for the money.

Hustler is a great value, Exmark is superior over Hustler but expensive. I own both and I have been a small engine mechanic for 40 yrs.

Wow. It should have a 3 year consumer warranty. Why would the not fix it? I am curious. I have had no trouble with mine.

When I looked at that engine on the radius e it said toro on the side of the motor and toro uses loncin for there engines and that’s all China made.
