I expect this mower will last several seasons with decent care. ua-cam.com/users/postUgkx1VWTrayKBdCKAjzAcZ_Eg4dhHTae3LkN also recommend Also, I ran across the problem with it not starting the 2nd time I used it. There is a safety switch which is pushed in by the chute or mulching piece being attached to the deck. I took the cover off and it wouldn't start. Put it back on, no problem. It takes only a minute with 2 easily accessible wingnuts and no tools. This mower starts up first crank each time and it is a joy to use. It also mows in reverse by putting the key to the reverse area after starting and pushing in the triangular button. It will stay in reverse mode until you turn it off. All in all, for my homeowner needs, I really like this mower-and at 70 bucks a cut here in Miami, it's already more than 1/3 paid for itself in a month.
The best mower in the Kubota ZTR series is the ZG222 Commercial 22HP 48"deck with Kubotos's own V twin engine. I bought mine in Australia in May 2012 & in March 2020 the design is still that good, it is Kubota's top seller.....nothing has changed. Shaft drive with three massive cutting blades & double V belt that simply refuses to break. Beats everything on the market!
I love my Kubota i have a t1750 1993 46inch deck riding mower with the 10 hp Kubota engine. I'm the second owner. I've had it for 20yrs it has over 3k hrs on it and it runs like new!
That was very informative. Thanks for revealing the price for the 42" model but you didn't mention what the other models are going for just for curiosity sake. I think the 42" model which is the one I have my eye one will work at $3899. That's a pretty reasonable price point when I think about it. Go orange "A"?
Thanks for watching. The other model's prices vary slightly throughout the year. Give us a call at 479-361-2513 or visit our website for current pricing info.
breeze787 I did make the dealer remove the roll bar, though. I mow a level yard, and the durn thing caught on.a tree limb and scared the hell out of me.
@@1lightspeed That's a story that will stick around for awhile. Hey keep her clean and wash her after every use and she'll look like brand new come 10 years from now. Wish I owned a zero turn Kubota. sniff.
I have a zd1511, awesome mower. I have 11 acreas to mow with lots of hills and this mower gets it done unbelievably fast with a 72 inch deck. It cost $20,000
I use a Toro 3000 series on a five acre block and it's been amazing. I'm possibly picking up a Kubota z411 48" with the zt3600 hydros. Excellent value.
On the z726 the warranty states different on kubota website... I have one, I believe its only one, unless you buy an extended warranty. Then entry mower is 4 yr's. Ive owned both mowers.
Why is no mower manufacturer going the propane route? So much less engine maintenance than gasoline fueled engines. I have an MTD 42" Yard Machine with a 17.5 hp engine converted to propane using a standard 20 pound tank (4.5 gallons) and runs about 7 hours. The engine oil stays very clean compared to gasoline and alcohol fuel. My Lehr weed eater and portable 7500 watt generator are also propane fueled. The fuel never goes bad and they startup every time after sitting for moths. Propane is a no brainer for me.
The roll-over protection does fold down to fit allow you to fit in tight places. However, we do not recommend the removal of manufacturer installed safety devices.
Yes, I got the smallest Kommander (with a 42” cut), and just made the dealer remove the roll bar. Having a roll bar can actually be dangerous; as I mowed grass it can catch on a low hanging limb...and possibly flip me. Of course, if you have rolling terrain, you might need that roll bar...but my yard is level.
I have no experience with Kubota if they are anything like other Japanese manufacturers I'm sure they are great. honda could take over the mowing industry if they wanted . they must be not interested
Brandon Murphy I have thought the same thing about honda. After the world's fastest mower they haven't done much. They sure as hell could shake up the zero turn market.
Brandon Murphy They are not like any other Japanese manufacturers. Kubota is notorious for claiming their products are the most durable when they are actually not and then not paying their warranty claims when they have a problem that they can't fix on a customer's machine. Do your research, read customer reviews and compare spec for spec with other mower manufacturers and you will see they grossly misrepresent their products and reputation.
@@blessed7fold thanks for the info. Like I said I have no experience with Kubota. I will take your word for it . I will stick with my john deere z950m . I just assumed they were quality like honda and Toyota ect like other Japanese manufacturers

Brandon Garbacz are those z723 good. I saw one at a local shop for around $6000-$7000 plus taxes . I ask if we can do payments they're allowing us to do payments but over all the price they're asking is top of the line around $7,000 to $8,000 They're saying that it only has 2 years of warranty since it's a commercial mower and 4 years on the residential mower. I'm confused on how this people really work. I'm hoping for the best they're being honest with me.
On those machines they don't say the price because they are significantly more expensive then the home owner model. They want you to visit them and discuss the machine in person and let them build value to a potential customer versus say the price right off the bat and scare them away. You can get the msrp off the kubota website but you're best off to visit a dealer because they may have special pricing that you can't see online and that goes with anything you buy.
@@drewpert1598 The 2200 are still Hydrogear, but they categorize the 3100 and above as 'Commercial Grade' transmissions because they are made for every day use in harsher conditions. They have upgraded components (axles, bearings, etc.) to cope with the larger, heavier commercial vehicles.
@@drewpert1598 No, the commercial grades start at 48" decks. If you are planning to cut as a business, the commercial grades are highly recommended, they are designed for heavy use and will last you much longer. If you'd like to come see the difference in person feel free to stop by.

Does the Z122r have 2 transmissions (one for each wheel) ? As in other Zero Turn mowers.
Yes
AND THOSE TRANSMISSIONS ARE GARBAGE!!!!
Sealed bearings stink, more grease fittings the better who cares if someone don't like to grease ,I don't like cutting grass but it's MY JOB.
Which is a really good zero turn in your opinion?
All exmark big zeros have sealed bearing...
How much does that commercial ZD1511 sell for? I've got a little TG1860G from 1998 with only 470 hours on it I might trade for. Thank you.
Zd1511 has a 4 cylinder turbocharged kubota engine

I have three they strioe amazing better than the scaggs I use to have
42 inch Chrany go out after about 200 hours
