- Hello everyone, so it's been five years since Remembrance first came out I don't think it's any secret that I was a beginner in terms of story telling and lyric writing. That's why most of the early songs are so clunky in terms of rhythm and such. True be told, I don't like a large chunk of the audio drama because of it, because I know I can do such much better. So here is the very first song from the series but redone to give it the epic feel I was originally going for. This version makes Twilight far more spiteful for her "gift" of immortally and really shows the cruel reality of the Princess of Friendship without her friends.
I really tried to capture the heart of the original while still adding foreshadowing and additional emotional beats to Twilights bitter and grieving character.
If you like this new version I'd love to redo many of the other early works and improve upon them. But we will see. For now take this spin on a classic. If you wanna cover it, feel free.

This made me cry "what is friendship if I'm forced to stay behind, what kind of cruel and twisted game was I first assigned?" 2:21-2:27 the feels!

I feel like this is what Rem needed to be rebooted, and given better story, better written character, character arc, character interaction, and even some better song's. This feels like it is a step towards that direction. This is a really touchy song, and it sounds like Ashley H will use it correctly. While I am doing my own Fan Fic series which I call Tidrs of War, I am intrigued on how she will improve Rem when she is able to do it, and already can't wait for the first episode.

Losing friends is hard, weather through death or your friendship ending, it's never really easy to lose those you see as your friends, believe me I've been there and I've grown used to losing friends, something no one should ever be used to. The very few friends I even have online I treasure them as much as I treasure the only real friend I have in real life. There is a reason as to why I don't have many friends and that's because of trust issues.
This Brings back so much nostalgia and hearing the new Version is just so Beautiful and calming✨

I adored the old version and I adore this version even more! I would LOVE to see other remastered versions of old Remembrance songs! (esp. No Longer Mourn because that has to be my favourite Remembrance song). I'm glad you're taking time from this series for yourself and I wish you the best!

Beautiful song, of course, but I recently started researching more on meditation, mental health and other mind stuff (Dr.K. of HealthyGamerGG explains it very well) and was shocked by how my perception of this song changed.

Oh my gosh-the emotion in the vocals at 2:23 and beyond are absolutely astounding. And all the re-written lyrics feel so sincere and heartfelt.
I had liked the original version, but the extent to which Twilight was full of grief and resentment never really stuck with me until now. This version really made me feel for Twilight and all she had lost 💜 This was beautifully redone

I just watched this video and I love the rhythm and how both of the songs go. But I like this one better because I love your voice in it and and a mix of lyrics I've heard in the in the other one and new lyrics. I had lost my cat this morning, i came back to this song just now, i began singing and couldn't keep my tears away. I had lost my nanna last year, and im still dealing with the grief. My cat figaro was everything to me and im worried about how my cat elsa is going to be without him. I have his fur and collar. I had felt connected to this song before but now i feel even more connected, i relate to twilight alot and fear lossing the many people i love every day. But thank you Ashley for creating this beautiful song i can scream and cry out to whenever i need to.💜

Such an awe-inspiring and powerful updated tribute to Twilight!! I can hear and feel the added emotion you added in your vocals here to really transcribe Twilight's feelings and chara depth, in this alternate take where she's immortal and loses her friends! Some of the lyrics here are SO emotional... Especially at "I remember the time you threw a party just for me", remembering about the S1 premiere... Very impactful and thoughtful lyrics. Awesome vocal cover/ponification!!
