- Sorry about all the Celestia and Luna content but after hearing this song I couldn't stop thinking about the two of them. So you get some more whoo! Here we see the inner turmoil of Tia and how things have changed and how she feels now that she has to live with those regrets. At the end of the song she's in such a low point that she turns into Daybreaker, or at least that's my view on it. You can determine whatever ending you'd like.
You can also listen to the song on a surface level or you can take some of the words and metaphors with more serious topics (topic's I'd get demonized for if I mention them)
Also I might redo with a better instrumental once it comes out but this was the only one I could find, that is if peeps like it.

The music could have been better, but man....the Lyrics for this song are very emotional, and the mini background audio's make the song really sad. Other than the music's tone, you nailed the song pretty good if this was the best you could give for this song....props to you Ashley H

Dark and emotional, just like we'd imagine Celestia must have felt in the privacy of the night as she was looking up at the moon with Luna in it. It was always in the background of the show, but the conflict between the two sisters was perhaps the first example in the canon of the universe of what happens when friendship, and the love it represents, fails. The singing was spot on and conveyed the pain and sorrow well, the muted tones you sang it in did a good job conveying this was inside Celestia's heart, and the solo cello was nice, the lower notes of the violin family are so good at conveying the negative side of emotions. If you are planning to do an updated orchestral track it will be interesting to see what you come up with, maybe a double bass in the background of the cello can add some richer darkness, but, like Pinkie Pie's use of salt when making cupcakes , "Just a Pinch..."
That's deep i can only imagine the pain she goes through every night i just want to hug her and tell her it's not your fault everything turned out ok man if i were her husband never leave het alone if she was in this state if only i could hold her that's what would i do if i were married to her
You can really hear the guilt in celestia's voice as she sings. So haunting and so beautiful.
I would say "But no lullaby can fix what’s gone" for the reference ?

How is it we can keep finding more ways to clarify and deepen our understanding of Celestia's emotional torment during those thousand years?
It's like the gift the show keeps on giving and we're torn on whether we want it or not.

OK. This is an amazing job on the song. I could actually see and feel the pain of Celestia for sending Luna to the moon when she promised that she would protect her. You did an amazing job on this Song, Ashley H. I hope you keep up the amazing work.

I know this is a shot in the dark, but I was curious if you would consider collaborating on a song. I know that's a lot to ask for, but I'd love to release an MLP song that isn't dead-on-arrival just because I can't sing well (some of my instrumental tracks have gotten their own EQD spotlight posts, so I hope that any collaboration would indeed be a collaboration + not one sided). The song I have in mind is a Twilight song, sung to Celestia out of grief at a time when she's outlived her friends. I'll post the lyrics below in the off chance you are interested.
I want to end by saying how much I love the songs you've been posting on this channel over the last few months, first with "Evermore", then "Luster's Lament", and now "The Corruption of Celestia". They're all so beautiful and such a breath of fresh air to the brony music scene, which tends to be dominated by electronic songs. I hope you will continue to release more in the months to come!
