@@Gimme_tv Thought you would ! Played my first golf in months earlier had to come off after 8 sadly has had hailstones lightning and thunder but cleared up and practiced my short game for over an hr . Would love to give you around sometime when I get better !! Funny though how you can get back into it after months away . But fingers crossed my handicap will come down when I enter some competitions. Think we should as golfers remember the good shots as we hit plenty of bad ones . Sadly 😭😭😭😭😭
@@Gimme_tv unsure which I hate more wind or rain !! Would really recommend watching Golf sidekicks channel. Certainly knows what he is talking about and a pretty decent golfer.. You going to play Three Locks again?
@richs2290 rain for sure! Can’t play in the rain but wind can help when it’s downwind, I have yeh, used to watch him all the time but not for a while tbh, yeh maybe might do a break 80 there
Nice video mate, and better golf for sure - par 3s let you down a bit but ball striking looking good. I’ve recently had the putting yips and changed grips to the new golf pride reverse taper chunky grip and has really helped, out of the centre is now much more consistent. Keep grinding!
Was a member there for 13 years from 1977 to 1990 when it was still RAF Halton golf club and only 9 holes. Can’t remember exactly when it became Chiltern Forest, must have been around 1986 when it came under civilian ownership and was initially extended to 12 holes before going to the full 18 in the early 90s. Played many RAF matches on a Wednesday afternoon against other RAF stations and also friendly club matches against other local clubs like Whiteleaf in Princes Risborough and Ellesborough. Have only been back once in the 90s after course went to 18 holes but thoroughly enjoyed it.
I was 40, playing off 7 when I left in 1990 but am now 74 playing off 14 and am not sure I would be able to do the course justice! Just for your interest, the original nine holes with their up-to-date numbers, and the order in which they were played are as follows; 17, 1, 2, 6, 4, 12, 8, 9, 18 Regards.
I watched this to see what Chiltern Forest looked like, then I realised I’ve played there - hit a car in the car park off the 18th tee - my mate couldn’t stop laughing and then hit one as well. Nice course tho, hard in the summer when it’s bouncy, and a tough walk but worth playing once - just park as far away as you can !!! 😶
Playing here Sunday, buzzing for it! Keep up the good work and content mate 👏🏽👏🏽
Ah mate enjoy it! Such a fun course, cheers buddy! Appreciate that

Cheers mate, yeh I’m tempted by that as the grip on my scotty is THIN! did you change it yourself?
Just went to my local range who stocked it and they did it for me in 20 mins. Such a nicer feel and more often than not a better stroke!
@@xXGeorgeDXx oh nice I might have to look into that, cheers!

@brianmarshall1993 good on you! That’s impressive, that’s an interesting layout!

Hahaha oh no! Yep I can imagine it’s impossible! Cheers for watching 👍🏼 (subscribe if you aren’t)
Members only in the morning for a future heads up 👍
Yeh I saw that on their website just after I finished playing, makes sense!
My legs hurt just watching this course! Far too hilly for me 😂
My legs still hurt😂 the views make it worth it, but I’m with you I HATE hilly courses…
Playing the week after the greens were tined probably didn't help your putting!
Yeh not ideal, but still a great course!
